Dove Summer Glow Body Lotion Review

I'm a fan of this. It gives a nice light natural looking tan after a couple of applications and it moisturises my skin really nicely. Great price too at only $9 for 400ml. The only negative for me is how sticky it feels after applying, even after waiting at least an hour or so before dressing, it never fully absorbs where it feels dry to the touch which is a bit annoying. Aside from that, this is a great gradual tanner!

I'm personally a fan of the summer glow this lotion gives me. Yes, you do need to be conscious of where exactly you are putting it on you body and need to evenly spread it over your skin. Obvious streaks of colour can definitely appear if it isn't evenly dispersed - but that will happen with every tan product.

The number one thing that put me off is the smell. It is super obvious that you're wearing a tanning product, and I found the smell lingered on my clothes, sheets, and in my room.

When Dove Summer Glow was initially released it was one-of-a-kind. Now, there are plenty of products in the same price range to choose from.

I didn't like this lotion at all. The smell especially was off putting and very strong. It tanned your legs but was very un-natutal and fake looking. It made your clothes smell awful too. Wasn't a fan and wouldn't use it again.

I purchased this in preparation for the upcoming summer season and was honestly so surprised an happy to find something at this amazing of a price. I bought it at kmart for 9.30 and used it twice and within the week you could already see a difference. The product itself doesn't really have any colour to it so at first I wasn't sure how dark it would be. You definitely get a gradual tan which I quite like as it doesn't make your fake tan look 'fake'. It also feels like a regular moisturiser so you could just use it as that once a week if you wanted to just add a natural glow to your body for summer.

absolutely love this product, I tend to buy it in the summer season between december-feb as I think thats the best season to be wearing the amazing product.

It comes in a tall quite large bottle. easy to squeeze out product. The scent is quite strong but nice when applied on skin.

The product applies nicely onto skin giving a nice layer of coverage, it makes your skin look immaculent, glowing, shiny and a nice natural look

Good product to give you a tanned looked without having to be out in the sun. I found it builds up.with frequent use.

This product performed fairly well, definitely requires everyday use for maximum results. produced a nice natural looking tan that I was quite pleased with.

I used this back in high school and picked it up again last summer to try again and was really impressed! To begin with I will add that I only use this on my upper body/arms as I prefer a tanning mousse for a deeper than on my legs, if I have an event on the weekend that I want to look tan for I will apply this moisturizer every night for the week leading up to it, otherwise I apply couple of nights or so just to give my skin a bit of colour and not leave me so pasty in the summer months! I apply with my hands as I would any moisturizer and I am always left with a natural, non streaky tan that I have even been complimented on. The only two things I dislike about the product would be the strong smell (not unpleasant but just very potent!) and the bottle (a pump would be a lot easier as I'm often left with a greasy bottle!) Overall a product I will continue to use and for under $10 is great value.

I picked this gradual tanner up on holiday a while a go to help increase my holiday tan without it looking unnatural. I didn't really find it added much colour at all which was disappointing as all my previous gradual tanners had done so quite well.

As a lotion it is nice and smooth on the skin, which I wouldn't expect any less from Dove. But unfortunately it felt more like I was using just a body lotion rather than a gradually tanning body lotion.

I did like the bottle it came in as it had a nice secure lid and was made of reasonably solid plastic. The packaging colour choice also did a good job at implying the product would product a natural tan as oppose to very bronze fake tan looking packaging that some brands use.

I would not repurchase since I didn't find that it did what it said it would.
