As someone who has horrendously ugly feet due to cracked and dry heels, I was super excited to try this when I was selected for the trial team. This product was something I hadn't heard of, so I wasn't sure what to expect when using it.
The instructions are very straightforward and very clear on how to use these. Basically you get a pair of 'socks' (which are bag type things with a liquid in it). You put these on your hooves, use the tape that is supplied to attach them to yourself and then chill out for 2 hours. This is exactly what I did.
The feeling of the gel/liquid that is in the 'socks' is suprisingly lovely! It felt cooling and not at all uncomfortable. Most importantly, it didn't hurt one iota.
Your feet don't immediately start to peel, so I felt comfortable walking around for the next few days without shedding like a snake. The instructions said that this is water activated and each time after I had a shower I definitely noticed some peeling action!
It's disgusting but super satisfying in a gross way to have your feet shedding skin. I have to admit I loved that this actually worked... to a point. I have to be upfront and admit that my heels are pretty badly cracked and this only seemed to help them a tiny bit. It didn't get rid of my cracked heels completely :( However, in saying that, the rest of my entire foot peeled and revealed nice, shiny new skin. This just wasn't enough to get rid of my gross heel skin.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has a little bit of dry skin. If your heels are quite bad then I wouldn't recommend it. For those who have slightly cracked skin then this is definitely something you should go for.
Personally I think it is really pricey for something you can only use once, but it does work - provided you don't have super cracked heels like myself.
Overall I wouldn't purchase this just because it didn't do much to the tough skin on my heels and they are exactly why I wanted to try this. It's a great product but it didn't help the issue I wanted solved.
I struggled to find a good time to use this product as I was surprised I had to sit for 2 hours to do this. I realised I am not very good at sitting still for long periods of time! I followed the instructions of softening my feet beforehand but got a little bit impatient and removed the bags after about 1hour 30.
I am 5 days in since using the socks and there has been a little bit of flaking on my feet - I had a good go at picking at the skin! Was quite a bit of fun as I kind of like doing this - but wasn’t too sure how far I should go with picking it all off? I tried to rub them when they are wet vs. when they are dry. Should I avoid picking anything when the skin is dry?
Overall I think the length of time it takes to get baby feet is too inconvenient for me to do on a regular basis vs. going and getting a normal pedicure. I think the price is quite high vs. what I would just pay for someone else to do it in a pedicure so I probably wouldn’t purchase this product normally. As mentioned before I also struggled to find the time to sit down for 2 hours and found this time to be quite inconvenient.
As I said before I am only 5 days, and my feet feel a little nicer but are still peeling. I am looking forward to seeing the results after 3 weeks to see how my feet feel!
Tips: try to find a time when you can sit still for 2 hours so you can get the most out of it!
