Frank Body scrub is a great all over exfoliant and leaves your skin feeling lush and smooth. I can't speak to the claims of it reducing the appearance of stretch marks and cellulite, as I feel you'd have to use it for quite a while to get any results. I'm not a huge fan of coffee smell personally, and it is a messy job, but the result is lovely, silky skin. It also feels like it leaves a kind of moisturizing/oil residue after washing it off - which some may not like, but I think it's nice. It also means I don't have to moisturize after haha. It's also a bit awkward hopping in the shower, wetting your body, hopping out and using the scrub, waiting 10 minutes (without touching anything!) then hopping back in the shower to wash it off.

Tips: Prepare for the mess! It also makes the bottom of the shower a little slippery so be careful.
This scrub i use every time i have a shower it makes my skin soft I love the after smell in the bathroom. I have sensitive skin so i can’t use a lot of products but this works Amazing on my skin. I recommend it.
Frank Body is the first ever coffee body scrub I have used, back when they first came out and weren’t even available in New Zealand. It’s awesome that it’s now available here. The original pack has had a makeover with a pink packaging, but the scrub remains the same. I bought the 200g pack and smells amazing, even for people who don’t often drink coffee (like me). It’s also natural and cruelty free and the texture is course from the sugar, salt and coffee granules.
I followed my usual shower routine and remained in the shower with the water turned off to scrub away. Keep in mind that this scrub is messy, and it will get everywhere, so it’s best to scrub in the shower or bathtub. I use about a handful or two to cover the whole body as well as the face. I use circular motions and pay extra attention to my stretchmarks. I leave it on for about 3 minutes before I rinse it off. My skin is left feeling soft and smooth, it really makes a huge different on dry skin, which disappears every time I use it. Over time, my stretch marks also look slightly lighter. I use it about 2 times a week, but on the packet, it recommends 2-3 times a week.
This is far my favourite coffee scrub or any other body scrub, and it’s very gentle on the skin. It’s also affordable, I bought my recent one from Mecca for $19. Frank Body now has many other flavours in the market, which I can’t wait to try.
Tips: Use it at night time as it can stain clothes, but it easily washes off.
I was introduced to this scrub through BR members discussing body scrubs. I have to say coffee body scrubs are my fave. If you have not tried it you are missing out on something that can gently polish your skin smooth, soft and silky. When I use a coffee scrub I get softer and smoother skin than if I used a sugar or salt scrub. The first time I used a coffee scrub I wasn't sure if it was going to do anything because the granules were finer than sugar granules and salt ones but I actually ended up with smoother, softer and silkier skin. Now Frank Body Scrub has been my to-go scrub of choice because it has 200g for about 20 bucks which is a decent price point for a coffee scrub. Plus I can buy it from Mecca and get points towards my Beauty Loop. Now Frank Body Scrub has come out with a few different options there's a cocoa one, a peppermint one and a coconut one as well as the original. My personal fave is the coconut one which has coconut oil but it's also recommended for those with nut allergies. Scent wise I don't really notice a difference between this and the original one. So now that we've discussed how amazing this scrub leaves your skin feeling lets discuss the cons, it leaves a mess in your shower and the coffee grains can leave brown stains. Nothing that can be rinsed away easily afterwards. I do find that I do miss a few grains but then again I'm short sighted and shower without my glasses so rinsing everything down is a bit tricky when I can't see. I think the pros outweigh the cons and I have used up three bags of this scrub and will keep repurchasing it.
Tips: Mecca has the half-sized bags for about 11-12 bucks which price wise for the amount isn't that much more expensive than the full-sized bags. You'll want to keep the bags out of the shower and the bags dry because once it's wet it's game over. I like to decant mine into an old body butter container and just spoon out what I need as I need it with a wooden spoon and I haven't wasted any of the scrub doing that. If your coffee scrub leaves brown streaks on your skin or you can't see it till it comes off on your towels. This one doesn't on mine but another coffee scrub did, so what I do is get in the shower, get wet, scrub all over and rinse and then soap up and rinse and voila, no brown streaks.
I was lucky enough to win this in a competition from instagram . I had this scrub on my wishlist for a long time. I was super excited to try it as I heard a lot of great things about it .
Packaging comes in a rectangle zip lock bag that’s made of plastic. The consistency of this coffee scrub is like sugar granules and coffee grounds mixed together. Scent smells like vanilla and coffee mixed together.
Application is easy crumbly . Seems to fall everywhere. My skin feels exfoliated well afterwards. Soft and smooth.
Price wise it’s at a fair price point. Can only be purchased from Mecca maxima. My bag lasted a few months. It solidified on the last month not sure why. I can’t see myself purchasing this. I prefer lush scrub bars instead . Less mess.
I opened the packed and tipped some into a bowl to take into the shower then struggled to shut the bag as the coffee/sugar get in the way of the zip lock closer.
This is the first dry scrub I have tried I haven’t mastered how to use it yet with out a lot of it falling onto the ground positive of this is your feet can get a good scrub aswell who needs pumice.
I found it a bit tricky to spread it over the skin as once it was on an area it didn’t move as easily as other scrubs.
I was suprise that when when I rinsed it off my skin felt amazing. I’m not too sure how much difference it makes to cellulite or stretch marks but it did well to exfoliate and leave my skin feeling soft and refreshed.
I love all frank products but the scrubs are definitely stand out products to me. They have a flavour for every preference and the quality of the product is beautiful. I love jumping in the shower and knowing exactly what ingredients are going on my skin and how much I'm going to benefit from them! It definitely doesn't work miracles for scars and stretch marks but it certainly helps if used weekly!
Tips: If you struggle with oily skin and break outs use a body wash after rinsing the scrub to avoid having left over oil on your skin. You will still get the benefits of the scrub but without the oil left over.
An ex flatmate of mine had this scrub. And I always knew when she had used it because I'd find it all through the bathroom. It took me nearly 4 years to get the courage to buy the product having had nightmares about everything being covered in coffee granules. The moment I opened the packet the smell of coffee hit me, and with the scent alone I felt energized (coffee addict, much?). I was concerned that with the price it wouldn't last me long, however a small amount in the palm of my hand covered most of the parts of my body that it needed too - so I need not have worried. I felt like a drongo waiting in the shower for a few minutes, as recommended, so I decided to keep massaging it in where need be. It felt amazing to apply, with the right amount of abrasive so it didn't feel like it was ripping my skin off, but that it felt like it was doing something. The clean up was not as bad as I had thought (thank you removable shower head!) so I have no idea how my ex flatty managed to do what she did! Afterwards, my skin felt amazing. I had to resist the urge to ask people at the famly bbq later that day to "here... feel this! Don't I feel amazing???" I love it, I cannot wait to use it again!
I've been using Frank for a few years now and the mint scent is my favourite. It's definitely more messy than a sugar scrub but you get much better results. The coffee can be as abrasive or gentle as you like, just water it down if it's too much.
I don't know how well it works on cellulite etc but it does moisturise the skin after rinsing it off, due to the oils. Would definitely recommend and it's a very affordable product for the quality.
Saw no difference between this product and a homemade mix of coffee grounds, coconut oil and brown sugar. Used religiously but did not see any of the scar reduction, eczema relief, stretch mark reduction or cellulite reduction promised. Review was deleted from their facebook when I posted it! Works well as an exfoliant, though it does make a bit of a mess. Save yourself the money and make at home!
Tips: Keep stored somewhere cool as it will go mouldy!
