I have used this on and off for years, and find myself going back to it more so during the summer months when my skin doesn't need as much hydration.
This is a light moisturizer that's suitable for sensitive and acne prone skin. If your skin is on the drier side, you will likely need something heavier (like the cream version).
This lotion has no fragrance, is reasonably priced, and suitable for every skin type which is a huge selling point for me - I can carry it around and anyone can use it if they need a moisturizing lotion. Plus with the price, I don't stress about my product being used by other people. It's readily available throughout NZ, and is also suitable as a body moisturizer when you're in a pinch haha.
I would definitely recommend this for those who have easily irritated skin, and don't have much dryness or flakiness.
Tips: Keep the smaller size in your handbag - it always comes in handy!
I used this moisturiser with the cetaphil oily skin cleanser, I found it not too heavy and very hydrating for my skin. So gentle and didn't irritate my skin which some moisturisers tend to do. Will definitely buy again, great value for the price
I just bought this moisturizer for using on my 5 year old son's face. It is incredibly the most suited one for his dry skin and off course his dad's face(both have dry skin). I tried using for 2 days on my combo/oily t zone skin and was super greasy and caused me breakouts, although i just used tiny bit and as it says it is suited for all skin types/ages. i differ, it can be happily used on dry/sensitive or normal skin too. But i use it on my dry hands, and its the best.
Tips: A drop is enough for a day.
Fragrance free and multipurpose, this moisturiser really does work. It works on super dry patches and doesn't leave your skin feeling oily or patchy/ It is also good value for money, one bottle has lasted me for over a year (I mainly just use it for my face though). I am not surprised that the doctors always recommend this to me. I would recommend this to people of all skin types.
Tips: A little goes a long way
I get dermatitis on my hands as my job requires a lot of hand washing and sanitising. I was recomended this lotion by a skin specialist and it has been great for my skin, giving me less irritation and still giving me the clean feeling i desire. It does not make my hands greasy like some lotions do, which is great.
I have sensitive skin, and this moisturizer was great for that - I had no reaction and it did help moisturize my skin. I liked the light formula as it didn't feel heavy on my skin or clog my pores. Unfortunately I do feel like this moisturizer took a long time to sink into my skin and left my skin looking very shiny after each use. For that reason alone I will not be purchasing this product again. I do have friends that didn't have this issue and it helped clear up their acne and really helped their skin - I think it definitely depends on your skin type. Because of this, I would recommend trying this product out for yourself to see if it works for you :)
I started using this a few years ago as my skin was getting very dry, one of my friends recommended it and thought id give it a go and im glad i did as part of a daily thing i use this in the morning, it makes my face feel soft and it doesn't go dry like it used too, i also use the oil of olay cream too so these two are my fave to use. i have sensitive skin so this does not irritate my skin in anyway, price is pretty good too and the big bottle lasts for a long time so its worth the money in the end.
I've been using my large bottle of cetaphil moisturiser on my face for about half a year now, daily. I have sensitive skin, and heaps of friends suggested I use a brand like cetaphil, since they claim to be good on sensitive skin. When I first began to use it, my skin felt like it was burning! I asked the Beauty department at Farmers, they told me that the ingredients might be quite harsh on my skin, and suggested I use a more natural, less acidic formula of moisturiser instead.
Fast forward to now, my skin doesn't get that burning sensation anymore, I guess my skin got used to it.
Compared to most moisturisers, I found that the texture was thick and gloopy, sort of like sunblock. Also, it does not have an SPF rating at all, which is a bit of a downer, since most moisturisers these days at least offer SPF 15...
But it does keep your face moisturised throughout the day, and lasts for ages since they come in big bottles! (From 250ml)
Tips: It felt like it was burning my skin, but after consistent use, it no longer irritates. But definitely ask an expert, in case your experience is different to mine!
I found this product quite greasy and so I couldn't use it on my face. I would recommend as a general moisturiser for legs etc... as it is basic and affordable. However I tend to prefer nice smelling body lotions
