Palmolive Aroma Therapy Anti-Stress Shower Gel Review

If I had 50 cents every time someone said to me stop stressing, calm down, don't stress etc I swear I would be a millionaire by now. And I will admit I am pretty full on and do find it hard to unwind and I love products that have the words relax, anti stress, calming etc written on the label so this one has me at anti stress

The bottle is a big 500ml bottle it's easy to grab in the shower and flip the lid open. The colour of this shower gel is pretty, it's a clear purple colour and the texture is definitely a gel it's not creamy or milky. The scent is heaven on earth a sweet lavender scent that is soothing and calming and makes me want to bathe in it. It lathers up quite a bit when used with a loofah.

The downfall with it is the scent, the calming and soothing stops as soon as you hop out of the shower. The scent doesn't linger on my skin. It's a lovely shower gel and it leaves my skin feeling clean and doesn't dry it out. It's also really reasonably priced too. I just wished the scent would last longer on my skin so this chaotic lady could chill out for a bit.

A warm relaxing shower is extremely important to help me unwind and wash off a hard day at work or just a day in general. Theres nothing more satifying than standing under warm water running down yur body and the smell of floral aromas around the shower.

This shower gel is thick and smells amazing with lots of floral fragrances presents. I only need a small amount of this gel on a sponge and the foaming action is almost immediate. It feels gentle and soft on the skin whilst showering but even more amazing when get out of the shower.

My skin is left soft and rejuvenated so I dont even need to apply lotion to my skin which is especially helpful during winter when I just want to jump into my pjs as fast as I can.

Its a reasonable price for $500ml and between myself and my husband it lasts us a good month which a personally thick is excellent value for money.

I use this daily in the shower. While it is fragranced, I personally love the smell, it lathers well with and leaves my skin clean and hydrated. I picked up a 1L size of this which lasts me months and months, and it's really affordable.

My job has me stressed out pretty much all the time! Does this help relieve me of that stress: no.

What I do like: it smells good, not too overpowering or sweet but fresh and some what revitalising. It comes in a good size package that lasts a good while but not too long that you get sick of it.

The negatives: it wasn't exactly 'anti-stress' for me. I also would prefer a pump - but this isn't a deal breaker for me. I also didn't find it softened my skin any.

Overall, I like it as a shower gel. But just that. It was nothing special and didn't do anything amazing that would make me buy this above any other shower gel. I like the scent and it is often sold at a great price on sale - so for that reason, and that reason alone, I would probably repurchase.

This shower gel is great for the price. We purchase it in the 1litre size which has a convenient pump top. It lasts our family of 4 over 2 months so is very good value for money. It has a lovely lavender scent and lathers nicely. 1 pump is enough for the entire body. However I'm not sure how a shower gel can relieve stress?

This shower gel smells great, applies easily and never leaves my skin feeling dry. At it's price point, I couldn't find a better shower gel

It was the gorgeous purple colour that caught my eye on the supermarket shelf.

It comes in a good sized 500ml bottle which lasts for ages.

The lid is a bit of a dissapointment (a pump would have been better for this sized bottle) but once you get the hang of flipping it open with wet hands you are on a roll.

The fragrance is beautiful and quite strong while you are in the shower and it lathers really well. It leaves you feeling clean and you skin feels so nice afterwards.

A really deep purple bottle that has a nice shape easy to hold with wet hands and an easily accessible flip top lid. This is a very thick purple gel with a lovely fragrance of vanilla and ylang ylang and a hint of floral, the scent is so nice and delicate. I didn't find any form of stress relief, but it is a nice relaxing scent and a soft wash. A little squirt on my body scrubby and it foams up into a very fluffy soft lather and I get an lovely soft clean wash with using this, clean skin without feeling stripped of moisture this is a wash I'll reserve for using at night before bed as I do prefer a invigorating wash in the morning. 100 washes yes I pretty much get that it does last, and is so nice to use I do like luxurious soaps but nothing beats a good shower gel for everyday use. It's certainly a good buy.

This shower gel brings back memories it was my more expensive shower gel on my teen budget that I used whenever I wanted to smell extra nice. So before any party or going out or on vacation this was the shower gel I brought along. The scent is gorgeous, sensual and relaxing I have to give Palmolive an A+ for this scent. This shower gel lathers up really well on a shower puff and the bottle is big lasts for a long time and is cheap. It’s a bit of affordable therapeutic shower aromatherapy, very relaxing. Unfortunately, if you have dry or sensitive skin like me it’s too drying. I never made the connection as a teenager, but I used to have really dry and itchy skin that needed a ton of body lotion. When I switched to using this occasionally and started using a more moisturizing body wash (Dove) I somehow had softer and less dry skin. Still the love for this scent didn’t vanish so I persevered. About a month I found large bottle of this in the shower, the scent was as amazing as I remembered but hello dry skin and itchy red patches. I wish I could find this scent in a more moisturizing and sulfate-free body wash because that would be a winner for me, also a body lotion designed for dry and sensitive skin, yes that would be my daily dose of de-stressing in the shower.

You can find this product in supermarkets and other outlets and Iv'e purchased it twice when it was on special for $3.

The packaging is that of your typical shower gel. It's purple, nothing fancy but I would prefer an upside down bottle so to get all of the product out easier.

The scent is nice, vanilla which I like as it's not too overpowering.

I found it reasonably good at lathering up and easy to wash off. It left my skin with a slight vanilla scent but not any softer than it was before I use it. It didn't leave me "stress free" like it claims to do which made me not particularly interested in using it anymore as that was the reason for buying it, to help me de-stress.

If you're looking for a simple shower gel then by all means, buy this product but I personally wouldn't recommend it.
