I really had high expectations for this sunscreen as it was Cancer Society but just felt it really wasn't that great. I tan really easily and really don't burn that easily and when I am burnt the next day I'm brown and thats what I get when I wear this sunscreen. I find I have to keep applying evey 30mins to hour to stop the kids from burning so actually don't use it anymore, ended up chucking it out. I thought the thickness was great, didn't come squirting out the bottle, spread nicely not too long to rub in and the smell is not overpowering just a nice creamy smell.

I give it a 5 for doing what it should, it protects from the sun and your safe from getting a sun burn but it's a really gross product I find.
It's really thick and smells incredibly strong. I feel like they've tried to give this a nice fragrance, but failed because mixed with the screen lotion its horrible.
It also is super greasy, and doesn't absorb into the skin easy either. I find I have to rub this is for a long while and sit in the sun for the sun to actually dry off a bit of that grease. Not something that you want to be doing.
And I don't recommend it for the face if you have oily skin. Whenever I used this on my skin, I would break out all over left and right.
I can say that the tiniest amount of product will do the biggest of jobs, although thats not quite how sunscreen works. It also comes in a huge bottle and can last you forever. It also doesn't leave your skin looking white and ghostly.
It was because of this sunscreen that I hated using sunscreen until I found a better brand.
my opinion is this is great for kids i remember always having this at school for when we had swimming days and it did its job. Not a big fan of the smell of it i think it is quite plan but i do like the amount you get in the bottle and in my opinion just great for the summer days when your hitting the beach with the family and need the biggest sunscreen for everyone to use.
I have quite sensitive skin so this product was not the greatest choice in sun screen. When I applied it I found it to be VERY oily and leave quite a lot of oil even after the 30mins. It did give me protection for the time allocated however. The packaging is great with advertising for the cancer foundation and proceeds going to them aswell is a given bonus. I would not however use this for myself, but use it daily in summer for the kids as it does a good job
Tips: remember to apply every 30mins
I bought this a couple of weeks ago and used it all over my body as directed. I went to the beach a couple of days in a row with my body fully protected with this sunblock. I don't have any allergies, sensitive skin, dry skin or anything. The weekend after using this sunblock, My face started to dry and look HORRIBLE and flaky :-( A day later, My arms and legs started doing the same thing. It took a week of exfoliating and moisturizing for my skin to go back to normal.
It did the Job it promised though, it protected me from the sun and I didn't burn at all. But I don't think it was the right type for my skin so I stared using body moisturizers with strong SPF instead.
I used to use this as it was reasonably affordable where I bought it. I don't like the greasy feeling of wearing sunscreen and this just didn't feel as lightweight and oil free as I'd hoped. Everyone has a different tolerance so give it a go and maybe you won't mind it.
Tips: On the body it wasn't so bad but not a face sunscreen for me. Maybe you'd be okay with this though, don't strike it out before you try it
This is a reliable standard sunscreen. It is well priced and good for families, with the standard SPF30. It does need to be reapplied often, and is not very water resistant so needs application after each swim.
Tips: Be careful not to get on clothes or sensitive skin as I believe it may have some bleach in it as it bleached spots on my son's hat after some dripped on there.
This is an iconic kiwi brand.. It has been around for a long time!
It offers good protection for the Family which is so important with our rays here in NZ..
However..
It claims to be light wearing and its not.. Its another one of those thick greasy products that leaves a film.. And with that being said stains clothes and can make the skin break out.
Although its not the worst out there, and I would definitely choose this over others if the choices weren't very broad to pick from.. This is not my first choice and I prefer lighter to wear formulas that wont ruin my clothes or make my skin freak out!
Perfectly adequate sunscreen for body application. It's a bit on the thick side but at least you feel like it's got good coverage. However I found if I reapplied it on my face regularly over a couple of days that my face felt really raw and looked really red and angry - not my go to summer look. Probably find if you dont have sensitive skin though.
After using the Cancer Society Standard SPF 30+ Sunscreen, I was left feeling disappointed with its performance. The sunscreen did not provide the level of protection that I expected, and I found myself and my children getting sunburned after spending just a few hours in the sun.
The texture of the sunscreen was thicker than I would have preferred, and it took a bit of effort to rub it in and cover all exposed areas of my skin. It also left a slight residue, making my skin feel a bit greasy and sticky.
While the sunscreen claims to be water-resistant, I found that it wore off quickly when I went swimming, leaving me vulnerable to the sun's harmful rays. I also did not appreciate the strong scent, which lingered for a while after application.
Overall, I cannot recommend the Cancer Society Standard SPF 30+ Sunscreen as a reliable and effective sunscreen. While it may work for some, I found that it did not meet my expectations and left me feeling disappointed with its performance.
Tips: Reapply very frequently to avoid getting burnt!
