A great trusted sunscreen for all

This is a value for money sunscreen which does the job well. I use this on any exposed skin on the body except my face (on which I prefer a higher protection, matte dry touch sunscreen).

I love the pump dispenser this sunscreen has, it makes it so much easy to apply on both yourself and others and get just the right amount of product out. I find this sinks into the skin well not leaving an overly greasy film on the skin or that white cast that some sunscreens give the skin. This sunscreen doesn't irritate my dry sensitive skin which is a must for me and has always protected my skin from sunburn.

A great staple to have for the whole family and so affordable to compared to other brands. Plus your supporting the cancer society so it's a win all round :)

Good for at home

This is my go to sunscreen. I have one in my car and one at home and use it every day in summer. It has a good consistency - not too liquid and not too hard - and is therefore easy to spread. It goes on well, doesn't feel greasy and lasts. (Although I'm a stickler for reapplying!) The pump action bottle also makes it easy to dispense which is very convenient (esp for kids!). Although I would not take it out of the house as it gets everywhere if you put it in your bag.

Tips: Reapply reapply reapply!!!

Protection From The Sun

I would say that the Cancer Society Sunscreen is one of the best for protecting the skin from UV rays. As someone with pale skin, protecting my skin is really important and I find that this sunscreen is reliable for protecting my skin. I find that this sunscreen can last all day but on particularly hot/sunny days, to apply 2-3 times is more effective.

The one thing that I'm not as fussed on is that it is quite a greasy sunscreen.

Sun Smart

I buy this for my whole family so it makes sense that I use it too. I do however find that it's a bit too greasy to use under my make up so prefer to use something different on my face. Apart from this factor I am impressed by this sunscreen. I love that it comes in a variety of sizes so it's perfect for having one in the car, in your bag and in the cupboard. The pump bottle is super handy because even my young son can pump it out and maintain his independence. I love that the Cancer Society is on this bottle because it makes me feel safe and secure in the knowledge that it comes straight from the cancer awareness organisation.

The smell of this is quite pleasant compared to other sunscreens. I don't like obvious smelling ones but a light scent is ok. The texture is a thick creamy consistency and I find that it spreads very easily but leaves a filmy residue. I don't mind this on my body but on my face it makes me feel oily. I reapply every two hours as suggested to maintain my coverage from the sun and this has served me well each summer. I hardly ever get sun burn because I have become so religious about putting sunscreen on. The only problem is I find it hard to remember to put it on in Winter.

I do find that the price for sunscreen in general could be cheaper considering it really is a necessity to keep our skin protected. I find that as the brand gets bigger the price does too!! This is frustrating for me because it is so necessary. I have been caught out with expiration dates before by not using the sunscreen fast enough. I found that I was using it after the expiration and as a result my skin actually burnt even after having sunscreen on and within three quarters of an hour of having applied it.

It's so surprising because I know it's not an anti-aging product but my skin has felt and looked so much better since using this all over my body. I only just took advice from my fellow BR babes about wearing sunscreen even in winter and my skin honestly feels amazing for it. I guess the environment plays a bigger part in how our skin feels than I thought. Slip, slop, slap and wrap Aotearoa!

Tips: Take note of expiration date and remember to slip, slop, slap and wrap even in winter x

I think this is something you just need every summ

In summer when you want to go out. You'll definitely need this. It's a must. I hate sun hitting my skin and then I get peeling. Sun screen is good and helps not get sunburnt. I think you can also wear it and go swimming which is nice but I'm not sure. I still carry a spray one usually or a little tube. It's also good giving one to everyone in the family so they are protected and they come In little packs. When I go on school trips I take one always because it's just something that doesn't let your skin get damaged from the sun.

Go To!

This is our family go to sunblock! Whenever this is on sale I am there!! I love this sunblock because it is thick and stays on after being in the water, it also doesnt leave my hands feeling greasy! Even though it is thick I find it easy to apply, and the thickness gives me a reassurance of full coverage for me and my kids. Only dissappointment is the price - something Im dissappointed in general about sunblocks, dont understand why such a needed product in NZ is so expensive!!

Kiwi summer

This sunblock has always been a family favourite. It spreads and protects well with full coverage and is long lasting. The smell isn't amazing but it's not as bad as some brands. The pump bottle is great

Cancer Society Sunscreen

My kids and I prefer this sunscreen over a few others. We like it because its not as greasy as some others. It is quite expensive though, not sure if il keep purchasing, maybe when it's on special.

Good sunscreen coverage

This is a great general sunscreen that is great for the whole family. I used this regularly before I found a natural alternative. The only problem I found with this sunscreen was that it wore off pretty quick which meant I had to reapply a lot. It is great value for money for a SPF 30+ sunscreen.

Good sunscreen

I used this sunscreen for years and was happy with it! Great protection, good price, a good range of bottle sizes, sold everywhere. I now like to use Oasis or Soleo but this was very reliable.

Tips: Don't get it in your eyes! Ouch
