I used to use this every day I got sunburnt but recently I was noticing how much I broke out when I used this. I switched to using the inkey list oat cleansing balm as a after sun treatment on my face and it worked miracles, my sunburns heal so much faster now. I still use the aloe gel on my body sunburns and it works great for them

Cancer Society After Sun Gel
Cooling, calming and rehydrating. Even well protected from harmful UV radiation, the skin still requires nourishment and rehydration after long periods of exposure to the elements. After sun moisturising gel with Aloe Vera will help bring back the skin’s moisture balance after exposure to the elements. The gel absorbs quickly, leaving your skin cool and re-nourished – no greasy feeling.

Tips: Dont use on face
I purchased this because no matter what sunscreen my son and partner have on they get burned . I needed something soothing for them both.
Packaging comes in a tube labelling is easy to read . Consistency is like a gel has no scent at all. I like to apply this to my sons back and behind his ears . Soothes his burns straight away .
Overall price wise it’s fair. One bottle last me about six months . Does the job well .
This works well but apart from being a reputable brand and the non greasy feeling aloe vera gel is just as good yes it is soothing and calms the hot sore skin but a little does not really go a long way so I think for the price and amount you get just aloe gel is a better alternative. A handy container easy squeeze and cool blue colour having it sit on the lid makes is handy for instant use and getting the last of the product yes I would use again but it is branded and so your paying for that. A good cause though.
I have never used this for sunburn as my skin tans rather than burns. However, this has been great after waxing when your skin feels a little raw- providing cooling relief and reducing stinging.
This is a really good product, excellent on skin that has maybe had a bit too much sun! I am always so paranoid about caring for my skin following exposure to the sun, so really like the idea of after sun gel. This gel absorbs quickly and leaves no greasy residue, and is wonderfully cooling. However, I also find the St. Ives Aloe & Chamomile Advanced Body Moisturizer equally effective and soothing on sunburned skin, so for that reason am not sure if I will be purchasing this again.
Tips: Avoid having to use this gel by protecting with sunscreen on hot days!
Living up north we get a lot of sun and get burnt easily this product my whole family uses and loves. It cools the skin quickly and adds much need moisture. sometimes it feels a bit sticky but doesn't last long.
Every summer I get burnt and I was hunt for the Cancer society after sun gel! This stuff is a life saver for sun burn and could probably even be a temporary moisturiser. The gel is very easy to apply and cools almost instantly to irritated skin. I have found that after a few application of this product my skin no longer looks dry or feels as ‘tight’ from sun exposure. A real benefit of the product is how it prevents peeling after your red colour fades.
Tips: Let it dry before putting your clothes back on
Yes I did like using this product, I loved the cool feeling applying on my arms and legs. Also did tone the redness down.
Tips: Always apply Cancer Society After Sun Gel after a day out in the sun.
I got a tube of this to prep for the pending summer burns I was bound to get gardening. I don't try to burn on purpose but sometimes it happens, and now I was prepared.
I chose this gel over the others available because of the fact it sat on it's head so I knew it'd be easy to get every bit of gel. I also really liked the blue coloring.
The gel squeezes out easily and as I keep it in the fridge, it's extra cooling and oh so nice. It's super easy to apply, not too sticky and best of all you can feel it working and cooling your skin immediately. It has a super subtle scent that I don't even notice. I'd buy it again for sure.
I had a mild sunburn on my back which I applied this gel to after my girlfriend gave me a tube. The experience was that of being stuck with thousands of needles or bitten by a swarm of fire ants. The cooling effect lasted a couple seconds before the agonising itching and stinging began and even after I washed it all off, my skin broke out in a blotchy white rash and continued to hurt for at least an hour.
Tips: Don't buy Cancer Society products - they excel only in doing the opposite of what they are advertised for.
