CeraVe Blemish Control Gel

This gel has two AHAs (glycolic and lactic acid) to smooth the skin, 2% salicylic acid (to target blemishes) and niacinamide to calm the skin and of course CeraVes essential ceramides. Luckily I received this after I had some nasty hormonal breakouts. I washed my face with the blemish control cleanser and after applied this directly onto my blemishes. I didn’t get any stinging or burning, I use some actives already in my routine. The next day I woke up and they were flatter. I was super impressed, I kept using this routine and they were gone within 3 days.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who struggles with acne, or even like me who has combination skin with hormonal acne. I’m gonna be bringing this out anytime a pimple pops out over a pimple patch.

I used this gel every evening after cleansing with CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser. It came in a 40ml tube with a handy applicator tip for targeting directly to the blemishes. I applied to my whole face (excluding eyes) as a preventative. A little goes a long way so you don't need to use a lot. This is non irritating and fragrance free. My skin only has occasional hormonal breakouts and during my 3 weeks of use, I am happy to say that I had none so will follow through and use till finished with hopefully the same result. My skin definitely feels healthier and clearer since using this. At around $23 per tube, made in France and developed with dermatologists this is a great value top range product.

This product works so well with the blemish control cleanser. I have never used a product like this in a preventative manner. Usually I use a spot cream after it's too late, but this seems like the perfect roadblock to blemished skin. I was a little bit concerned that it would dry my skin out, however it has lots of skin loving ingredients and I didn't feel like it was drying things out too much. I would still use a moisturiser however. Perhaps if you were to use this on it's own it may make some dryer areas of your skin dry out, but I haven't actually tried this to see. When I use this I only use a pretty tiny amount which seems to go a long way. This is a tidy little tube that easily fits anywhere for those little emergencies or to take on holiday, which is always super handy. If this product keeps working well the way it is, I'd be keen to keep using it!

I have been using the CeraVe Blemish Control Gel for a couple of weeks now, and I have found that it has really helped to clear up and prevent new breakouts. I have sensitive skin and found that the Gel did not cause any irritation. It’s a gentle yet effective formula that hydrates the skin, rather than drying it out.

When I started using the product I had a couple of small pimples on my face, which cleared up quickly and my face has continued to stay clear and healthy since I started using both the CeraVe Blemish Control Gel and CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser. Over the years, I have spent a fair amount of money purchasing and trying a lot of different products to stop/get rid of breakouts. I found that this Gel works well on my small breakouts, but I am yet to try it on larger breakouts (e.g. Cystic acne).

The Gel is a good size and a really affordable product. You get 40ml, which should last a while, as I found that a little goes a long way. The Gel is fragrance free, which is a huge positive for me, as I personally prefer products that have a mild or no fragrance.

Overall I was really happy with the product, and would recommend it to anyone with blemish prone skin.

This blemish control gel is a clear consistency similar to a serum and is non fragranced so perfect for sensitive skin types. I found it soaked into my skin quite quickly, wasnt sticky at all and didnt leave my skin stripped or dry. I tend to get hormonal acne around my chin area and this has helped clear it up! My skin is visibly clearer and feels so much nicer and softer.

I did not know a lot about this brand when I tried this product, I’ve never used any products by CeraVe. The packaging is a little clinical, it’s not inviting sitting there in your bathroom but let me tell you the results were fantastic!

The consistency of the gel is what I would call gluggy, and quite different to the creamer texture of similar products aimed at blemishes on the skin. It is kind of surprising how far out it spreads from a small amount so start with as little as possible when applying.

There was something I’m finding difficult to describe other than to say my face just feels overall clearer, parts of my face that are not prone to break outs feel clearer as well (I have combination skin, some dry patches some prone to break outs). It’s an overall look and feel – I feel more confident with a bare face even! I would definitely recommend this product.

With this a little goes a long way and you only need the size of a pea at most for your face. This is really lightweight and smooth to apply and I love not only how it is absorbs into the skin fairly quickly once applied but also leaves your skin looking good and feeling light. Pairing this with the CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser definitely gives your skin the best results compared to only using one or the other.

I loved this gel as well as the matching cleanser, it’s fragrance-free, lightweight and easy to use - I just apply a thin layer to where I need it around my chin, nose and forehead but you can apply it all over your face if you need to. As I use it mostly as a spot treatment this will definitely last me a really long time. It costs $28 at Chemist Warehouse but they often have specials on Cerave products so you can get it cheaper if you keep an eye out. For me this is a winner as it really delivered results, it did a great job at keeping my pores clear, my pimples came to a head faster, it really reduced the time it took for my spots to heal and left my skin feeling smooth and clear. I’d highly recommend this for anyone struggling with breakouts and I’ll definitely be purchasing again.

Overall great product, when using this make sure to pair with the Blemish Control Cleanser as both products compliment each other and give best results. Dermatologically testes which means it’s perfect for sensitive skin such as mine, I break out in eczema and cannot handle harsh products on my skin otherwise it tends to leave more damage done then good. Fragrance free also which is another tick, I found this blemish gel to be easy to use simply apply gel to skin daily and results tend to show within the 2 weeks period which I found did on my skin, Gel like texture is perfect for easy use and great to apply to skin, I look forward to finishing bottle to see long lasting results
