Clarins Calm-Essentiel Redness Corrective Gel

At first I was just using this on its own in the morning, and then realized I needed toa dd the emulsion afterwards! However, it was hydrating enough to be used on its own as my skin felt great with only this on! It also seems to be a good primer as my makeup sat really well over it.

I didn’t notice a huge difference in redness (it has green pigments to counteract the redness) but it was super smooth when applied and a little goes a long way. I like the scent of this and I tried to have a bit of a relaxing moment using it before getting ready for the day!

This tube has a pump which is handy to prevent much wastage and is more hygienic than using a pot.

I was fortunate to trial this product. This cream comes in a plastic pump bottle with a plastic lid and the cream itself is a light green colour to help colour correct the skin. I have sensitive skin which is prone to breakouts / pimples and along with that comes redness. I have had a few small pimples but usually they would be bigger and more painful so I definitely believe this product has helped reduce my pimples and the redness associated with pimples. I found that this cream applied easily and absorbed quickly and there was almost immediate results with my redness reducing. I didn’t find that this cream was super hydrating but I found it worked well in combination with the Clarins soothing cream which I would apply after. Since using this cream i haven't had any reactions to the product so its been amazing for my sensitive skin.

A gel that works well for sensitive and reactive skin type. I found that this gel helped reduce the redness near my cheeks and chin at the same time leaving it feeling hydrated. The creamy texture is easily absorbed and doesn’t leave a oily residue. For longer lasting hydration I would recommend using this with the emulsion or even follow up with a suitable moisturizer. Overall it did help reduce the redness and my skin felt smooth and calmed without any irritation.

So firstly the packaging for this is fairly plain, white cardboard box with no fancy pictures etc on it. Clearly says what the product is on the box in red print.

I have patches of redness and burn scarring around my chin which is quite red unless covered with makeup. I used to use a green veil underneath my foundation years ago but haven't for a while. This works the same as it is green and works to mask or correct redness. I have used this every morning prior to moisturising and before applying my makeup (just under 2 weeks). To be totally honest I don't think it has made a huge difference redness wise, however I will continue to use it as it does say it can improve with daily use.

I must say that it smells really nice and goes on easily as the small tube has a pump which makes it easy to use and take with you if needed. I found that I needed to hold the tube upright to get it to pump out properly.

It did sooth my skin, as after cleansing and first thing in the morning my skin is usually quite tight and dry so this was lovely to put on.

I will continue to use this gel as I think that it will continue to work it's magic after more time :) Price wise, it's a bit on the high side for my budget, but Clarins is on the higher side and really is a good product.

In the short time I’ve been using this product I believe my facial redness has diminished and skin tone is more even. I took before and after photos and it is slightly improved so I’m excited to keep using this product to see how it goes. Product smells nice, goes on smoothly and a small Amount is all that is needed. If this works I will Purchase again.

Wow, the Clarins Calm-Essentiel Redness Corrective Gel is awesome. I have very dry and sensitive skin due to medication and major redness in my cheeks. This product did exactly what it said it would, it reduced the redness in my skin and made it more softer and hydrated. I have tried other brands of redness corrector but nothing has worked as well as this did. I highly recommend it to anyone with redness in their face.

The pumping tube is worth it. The gel is light green in colour. The smell is soft and therapeutic. It is recommended to apply once in the morning before other calming essential products. I tried it for a week or so and my face redness has settled. It’s not something that’s works overnight. You need to be consistent and patient. The consistency is good and it slides and absorbs quickly. The packaging is precise and subtle. Worth buying!

This gel feels very nice on my skin, and a little bit goes a long way. The upside down bottle has a pump dispenser, and one pump is enough for my face and neck. Green is a colour well known for neutralising redness, and this lotion is green. However I don't feel that is neutralised any of the redness on my skin. Once applied, it just got absorbed. It does feel nice and doesn't aggravate my skin which is a tick. It kind of reminds me of Avene Rouge Fort.

I have fallen in love with the new range of Clarins Calm-Essentiel products. The Clarins Calm Essentiel Redness Corrective Gel has removed the redness and I am sure some fine lines on my aging skin. The redness and uneven colouring has crept in over the past few years and it is amazing to find a product that is so easy to use that has such dramatic results.

The redness corrective gel comes in a pump bottle with the pump at the bottom end of the tube. So while the tube stands upright the product is easy to get out. I used this product in the morning, after my shower on my face and neck. The gel texture melts into your skin and is easy to apply makeup over. The scent is subtle and earthy but very light.

This product definitely evened out my skin tone on my cheeks and chin. I love that this product has a minimum of 95% natural ingredients, making me feel like I'm not adding an over abundance of chemicals to my skin.

A great product, easy to use and affordable. I highly recommend using the Clarins redness corrective gel with the restoring treatment oil and soothing emulsion. The combination of these three products transformed my skin which is sensitive, aging and needs that extra bit of love.
