A lovely friend gave this to me as a birthday gift. I certainly wouldn't have paid the retail price for it myself! It came in the standard Clarins packaging, a sleek plastic tube inside a box with an instruction/ingredient leaflet in ever language imaginable. It also has the signature Clarins scent and is quite heavily perfumed for a facial product.
I used this is the morning in the shower on wet skin although the instructions say to preferably use on dry skin. It has quite a soapy feel to it, so it doubles up as a cleanser. I avoid my eyes though due to the exfoliants in it. The beads in it are really gentle and don't really do much. It does leave my skin smooth, although not much more than a gentle non exfoliating cleanser would. And guess, what? Those beads are the dreaded plastic micro beads! I also find it has a slight tightening sensation which means I haven't reached for it much. So I haven't used it regularly enough to see an brightening effects. Personally I would rather use a chemical exfoliant.
I won't be buying it for myself. It's nothing special for the price and I don't want to be using products with microbeads in. I've had this product for awhile so hopefully Clarins have re formulated it by now.
