So a few years back when i was trying to get into a habit of cleaning my skin, i saw this on the supermarket shelf and decided to give it a try. I only ever used it once and then the practically full bottle just sat in the bathroom unused. Though this product was easy to apply because of the foam and it was easy to massage into my skin, it left it feeling very dry, itchy and stripped, i even broke out into a bit of a rash. I would reccomend it more for people whos skin doesnt react to harsh products but i still think there is alot more better and honest products on the market.

Tips: Use a more moisturating exfoliating scrub after as well as some moisturiser.
Clean and Clear... no! The foaming was fun and made the product last but it's didn't clean or clear at all. It didn't prevent acne and made my skin so dry and tight. I would actively avoid this product.
The design of the bottle is good, the pump action is good , the foam is soft.
The scent is medical to me haha.
Now the reason I wouldn't use this again is because it dried my skin out so much that my face was red and cracked.
Ok on clearing the skin.
But I couldn't continue due to the over drying it gave my skin.
I think this would be ok for some with super super oily skin, that needed some serious drying out.
I have normal to dry skin usually with an oily t-zone.
I bought this product because of its claims about preventing blackheads. I used it twice and each time it dried my skin out so bad that it got extremely itchy and my cheeks and nose started flaking.
I think the drying out had a lot to do with the fact that it's self foaming but I did have a lot of high hopes for it because I have a massive issue with blackheads on my nose.
I was very disappointed, it didn't work for me and I will definitely not repurchase.
That is not to say that it won't work for other people, because evidently it has, but I think it's better suited or people with more oily skin.
This felt absolutely awful on my face! It felt like I'd rubbed chemicals all over my face, and made my skin irritated and red. This product made my face feel really raw, and dry. It then went shiny and oily. I didn't see any improvement in my skin, if anything this further irritated any pimples I had. It didn't affect my blackheads at all, and eventually made my face more oily/shiny, not less! The Self Foam Facial Wash didn't meet any of it claims, it was a total disappointment. I would certainly NEVER purchase this product again. It's one of the worst products I have ever put on my face.
Tips: This is way too harsh for sensitive skin.
This product completely dried out of my skin and left it very irritated. This product made no visible improvement to my skin. The bright orange colour of this product made it not only feel like you were rubbing a bunch of chemicals into your skin but look like it too. On a lighter note I enjoyed the packaging and the fact that it was a light and fluffy foam.
Tips: Very harsh
I have very sensitive and problematic skin prone to dryness/ezcema and allergic rashes (hives and contact dermatitis) but I went through a spate of acne and tried a number of products to get this under control. I always love a good foam, something about it makes you feel squeaky clean! And I loved the pump on this facial wash. This delivers the right amount of product and is very easy to use. That’s about the only thing I liked about this product unfortunately. I used this after removing my makeup with makeup wipes and washing my face with some warm water. The facial wash felt like any other foam but I did notice it had quite a harsh smell to it, very strong and more of a chemical based smell to it. This put me off a bit at first because I really like my skin care to not have much of a smell at all. I used my hands and lathered my face up and washed off. Unfortunately very quickly after using this my skin felt super dried out ( reminded me of that feeling when you put a face mask on and you want to stretch your skin and make the mask crack to relieve it ). I followed with a oil and moisturiser and this relieved it and went to bed. The next morning I noticed it had irritated several parts of my face which broke out in a contact type dermatitis and it was a little red (and angry). I didn’t use this again as my skin couldn’t handle this product. As I mentioned I have sensitive problematic skin so I wouldn’t recommend this to someone with very sensitive skin like myself but to someone more robust it may be ok. Because I had a reaction to it I really couldn’t say if it would have helped with the acne in the longer term. I would definitely not use again.
Tips: Perhaps if you have sensitive skin patch test this somewhere other than your face.
I wouldn't use again or recommend as it made my skin feel really tight and dry after use. I gave it a good go but didn't like it and find my skin to be oily to combination.
I have very very sensitive skin and for some reason I wanted to try this product out and was looking for a good cleanser.
It was the entire pack (cleanser, toner, moisturiser) for something like $20 and thought I would try.
I found that the foam was a nice touch ad glided on to the skin. Almost instantly my skin felt it was being cleansed and cleaned. I left on for about one minute and it started to burn. I swiftly washed it off with luke warm water.
It left me with red patches on my face and decided not to use the toner and moisturizer as it might make it worse.
This product is definitely not for people with sensitive skin. Won't use again.
Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with this product. I wouldn't say I have sensitive skin - very few products irritate me - but this gave me chemical burns on my chin and cheeks, next to my nose! The rest of my face felt super dry. It's a very harsh formula that smells very heavily of chemicals. No pleasant cover-up scent here! Overall not a recommended product and I am now wary of the entire Clear & Clear line.
