I just have a 4ml mini jar of this eye cream that I got in a Clinique giftpack. I find these packs are such a good way of trying out Clinique skincare since you can pick them up quite cheaply and unfortunately full priced skincare in this brand are usually quite expensive.
This mini is adorable and comes in a cute screwtop jar to mimic the full size version. Although this only has 4 mls of product in it, it's lasted me 3 to 4 weeks of using it twice a day. You really only need the tiniest amount as it is quite thin and spreads out easily. It is a light peachy colour in the jar but doesn't seem to have any colour on my skin. It looks thickish in the jar but it is thin when you touch it. There is no real scent to it, maybe a hint of just a 'skincare with no fragrance' smell. I really like how this absorbs quickly underneath my eyes. This is perfect for underneath makeup as you don't need to wait a long time for it to absorb. I would prefer to use something thicker at night but that is because my skin is dry. I don't have bag or puffing issues so I can't say if this works on that. I do have dark circles which sink in but I can't say I've seen any difference to them from using this cream.
I don't think this is for me. I like it for day use so I would use it if I bought it in another giftpack but I don't like it enough to uy a full size of it. I think this would be nice for someone who really wants something lightweight underneath their eyes. Maybe someone with oily skin would appreciate that? I'm just not sure if it really does much to help with any eye issues, like you would want it to work anyway.
The jar is pretty but that is the only positive for me about 'all about eyes'. Overall I tend to find Clinique great for cosmetics - they produce gorgeous textures and natural looking shades but I just cannot be a convert to their skincare range no matter how hard I try. I was fortunate to receive my jar as a gift but I would have been highly disappointed to fork out the money for this product and have such a poor performing product that my cheap $10 eye gel can out-perform every time. The consistency of this is a gel-crème it is semi-translucent and does feel nice when you put it on. No matter how little I use though it becomes a tacky residue once it dries down as if it doesn't sink in and it just sits there feeling gummy and tacky. It is horrendous to apply makeup over - concealer and foundation don't seem to sit well over it and that is not great. I can't even use it at night as the tacky feeling annoys me and it gives me milia (little white bumps) under the eyes from prolonged use. The next gripe I have with this product is that despite lack of fragrance and it's hypo-allergenic claims is that it makes my eyes sting and water. I am not getting it in my eyes but just having it around my eyes makes them sore. For me personally this product completely defeats the purpose of using an eye product and maybe I just have ultra sensitive skin but it was a huge disappointment for me and I am better just not using it at all.
