I love using this product after shaving and using exfoliating with Clinique's Sparkle Skin Exfoliating cream. Its so rich an creamy that it leaves skin feeling absolutely amazing.
Despite being quite thick and rich, it doesn't leave skin feeling heavy or greasy, it doesn't sting after shaving like many moisturisers I have tried, and doesn't have a scent. Using this product produces great results-hydrated glowing skin, but I miss the gorgeous smell of my regular body butter (that left my skin feeling greasy but smells divine!!)
It comes in a large pottle and lasts quite a while because you don't have to use much. The only thing that puts me off is of course the price... I love Cliniques products and they certainly are quality... but to spend $70 on a body butter when there are other main stream brand store selling similar products that pretty much do the same thing for half the price that smell like you want to lick the container clean... When I'm finished with this pottle I won't be repurchasing it unless it is drastically reduced in price... by like half!
The trade off for me really comes down to the cost for this product vs the $40 for my regular which leaves skin feeling a bit greasy... My regular wins out in this case.
When I think body butter, I always think Body Shop. I have to admit to not really caring about any other body butter beyond that. The Clinique one changed my mind.
It doesn't have the same fragrance range that the Body Shop does - this body butter has no scent at all. What makes it great is how well it works!
It goes on very smooth and almost immediately sinks in. It doesn't feel tacky or leave even a trace after you apply it - all you feel is really soft and smooth.
This stuff is brilliant, and I think it's an excellent option for people with sensitive skin who might not be able to use one of the Body Shop scented butters.
