I originally used this moisturiser before it changed. The new moisturiser does not agree with my skin. It feels slimy and sits on my skin and does not absorb as well as the old one. I went in to see a Clinique specialist at Farmers and she told me that the old one was not coming back and that this was the right product for my skin. I continued using this product for a couple of months but realised that it definitely was not the right product for me.

Tips: Try a tester before purchasing a full bottle of this moisturiser.
I have combination skin, during winter, my cheeks get really dry and flaky, not that I was expecting this product to work miracles but it did absolutely nothing for me. It made me T-zone more oily and my cheeks continues to shed skin (yuck!). The formula is quite light, so I would expect this to work better on those who have normal skin I guess.
This moisturizer didn't suit my skin... I had a lot of break outs and my skin was very oily when using it
This moisturizer is always on the list of cult classics however, I personally feel it's extremely overrated. I find this moisturizer really oily and whenever I've used it I've ended up with clogged pores and really noticeable oily skin. My skin does tend to be on the oily side anyway so perhaps this is better for people with dry skin. This seems to be a product that really polarizes people - you either love it or hate it! At the end of the day, there are much better moisturizers out there for a lower price
I purchased this to combat my sensitive and dry skin. Seemed to work well - it didn't leave my skin greasy or irritate it as it has little to no fragrance. However, I didn't find that this did anything special for my skin and I still had some dry patches on my face. Feels really good and light but not worth the price in my opinion.
Tips: Try before you buy
I have been using Clinique make up for 20 years and love it. Unfortunately the skin care range doesn't work for my skin. I was excited to hear they had improved their DDML but after trying 2 samples in my "gift with purchase" bags I have not changed my mind. The new formula is definitely better but still doesn't provide the moisture that my skin needs. The only way I could use this would be in conjunction with their other Moisture Surge products. I really don't want to buy multiple moisturizers.
I received a sample of this in a free gift bag after buying some other Clinique products (aka spoiling myself!) and was not impressed.
It wasn't absolutely horrible by any means, but I have other, much much cheaper moisturisers that do a much better job - to me, this just felt like the Olay moisturiser I use as a base/primer sometimes because it doesn't actually do much else.
I used to use the Clinique DD Gel years ago and it was good but I tried a sample of this new formula recently and it gave me eczema. I do have difficult skin but anything that makes my skin worse rather than better would definitely not get my recommendation!
Tips: Try a sample before you purchase!
I got a bottle of this from my sister for a birthday, and I so wanted to love it because for some reason I fell irreconcilably in love with the shape and colour of the bottle. Unfortunately, that was it for the love affair with this product. My skin is always dry, and I always need gentle but super moisturising products to address that. The more I used this, the drier my skin seemed to get and in the end I gave up. It might just be my skin, but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with problematic dryness - I think it might just be too harsh for us delicate ones!
I began using the 3 step Clinique range earlier in the year. Unfortunately for me I had a reaction to it (which was weird because I am not allergic to anything and do not have sensitive skin) I was lucky that they refunded my money but was still surprised as they do pride themselves on being okay for sensitive skin and allergy tested.... I wish I hadn't had a reaction though as I feel I would have loved this moisturizer, it was light on my skin and absorbed really well. Wouldn't recommend it for sensitive skin however.
