This product is great! I’ve used many different makeup removers and with my dry skin this is amazing it hydrates my skin and take away all my makeup at the same time it will remove waterproof mascara and I always finish using this feeling clean and hydrated
I absolutely love this stuff. I love the texture on my face, I even have the urge to use it when I wash my face at the end of a day I haven’t been wearing makeup!
It really does melt your makeup off so well. It feels amazing, smells good. I’m a huge fan.
I got it as a gift so I can’t speak to the price of it.
It leaves my skin feeling smoother than if I use other products to remove my makeup
Tips: It does leave kind of like a slimy/oily feeling on your face so I found it best to double cleanse after use but I usually double cleanse anyway to get makeup off before I started using this.
Good cleansing balm from clinique, a bit overpriced, good portioning and removes makeup well. Average but would buy again.
I am a very very picky consumer. I like to try all the new, bright, pretty products and am a sucker for lovely packaging but I am also easy to disappoint. I rarely repurchase unless the product proves itself and beyond. This cleansing balm from Clinique definitely lives up to its name.
The container is attractive and study, inside is a dense white solid oil which is in my opinion 'white gold'. Scoop out a tiny put to cover one finger tip (or two if you have particularly stubborn makeup) and rub onto your face concentrating on waterproof mascara etc. At this stage it will appear quite oily.
Run the warm water, wet your hands and rub onto your face and this products magically transforms into a creamy texture. Rinse face, use a face towel to dry and you will notice that your makeup is gone and your skin feels neither stripped of moisture or tight... Instead it should feel soft and clean.
I love this stuff, it is so gentle and even if you do get in your eyes it is easy to wash off and does not sting. I have repurchased this twice and though pricey, it is well worth it and the tub is huge!
This is another gem from Clinique. It takes off all your makeup, even stubborn mascara. To use it I scrape a small amount out, and rub it between my fingers to warm it up before spreading it over my eyes and working it in to the skin. It takes everything off, no fuss, and doesn't require excessive rubbing or pulling of the delicate eye area.
It's fragrance free so doesn't irritate your eyes.
Update: I have had this now for nearly two years and still half well over half left. The best value makeup remover on the market.
It is expensive for makeup remover ($64 at Farmers) but lasts for absolutely ages and works better than any other brand I have tried.
Tips: Remove it with a hot flannel (feels so good!) and follow with a double cleanse.
This product is my all-time favourite holy grail makeup remover! Like they say, its a balm consistency which transforms into an oil when you put it on your face. I like to massage it into my face, dry or slightly damp and then rinse off.
This product is fairly pricey for a makeup remover but i think it is WELL worth it! I use it on full face makeup days to remove every trace of makeup which it does perfectly. It is smooth, doesn't have an offensive scent and is non-irritating. It also leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth unlike some makeup removers which leave my face feeling quite dry and 'stripped'.
I like the purple and silver packaging, it looks high quality and something I would happily have on the bathroom counter.
I have just repurchased my 3rd pot of this stuff and will continue to buy it for a long time yet!
I love the feel of this! It’s a thick solid balm that sort of melts into and oil and dissolves your makeup.
Doesn’t have a strong scent, or much at all.
It didn't irritate my dry sensitive skin or eyes (and I get it all up in there!)
Removed all traces of my makeup, including my stubborn waterproof liner & mascara. I like that I don’t need to keep wiping over my eyes numerous times with cotton pads or wipes – just gently with my fingers.
It is expensive but you only need a very small amount so a pottle lasts ages!
I’m not too sure how this would go on oily skin. Maybe ask for a sample from Clinque before investing.
Tips: The pottle isn’t exactly travel friendly so simply scrape some out and pop it in a smaller container for travel.
If you can’t fork out the $60 odd dollars, give The Body Shop Chamomile Cleansing Butter a whirl, it’s a pretty close dupe.
This does exactly what it states! Takes everything off my face even the most stubborn of mascara. I have extremely sensitive skin and this doesn't cause any reaction which was a very pleasant surprise for me. This has helped me with my stubborn foundations as I was getting bad pimples due to not being able to remove them. This is my fav hav repurchased several times and cannot go back to any other now.
I got a mini of this in a gift set I was really excited to try it as I have been looking to get into incorporating a cleansing balm into my routine. This product is just so hard in to jar I found I had to dig my nails under to get some product but then it is all clumpy in my hand it does a nice job of taking off my makeup but its just too hard to use.
