I was mid-crazy week when I got onto the trial team for this lovely product, and (like many people I'm sure!) I bite my lips when I'm stressed, so it was perfect timing.
The packaging for the Crazy Rumours Lip Balm is cute. It comes in the traditional 'twist up stick' format we're all so familiar with from a lipbalm, and a case with brown and green labelling that successfully evokes the choc-mint combo.
The balm itself is a natural 'vanilla' brown colour in the tube, but it applies clear. It causes lips to tingle a little but smooths them almost instantly to a silky, creamy, glossy finish. The balm is non-sticky and feels lovely on the lips.
There are definite elements of both mint and chocolate to the scent, but neither is overpowering and it's a lively, sweet little blend. The hint of Stevia in the product makes it taste as delicious as it smells. which might mean it doesn't last as long if you're like me and keep licking your lips.
Used a few times a day since I received it last week it has definitely kept my lips supple and smooth. What's more, it's enjoyable to use, and for the low purchase price I could definitely see myself re-purchasing.
Other useful tidbits - it's cruelty-free, vegan, 100% natural and full of great oils and butters. The only flaw int he genius plan for some might be that it's made in America, so if you're a kiwi brand girl that might out you off. It doesn't put me off though - this is gorgeous.
I first came across this lip balm when it was advertised I guess you could say, as a trial. Anyway it sounded rather yummy so I decided I needed to buy myself one, so I got one off iHerb when we were getting other things (it's not worth it otherwise).
The lip balm is natural, vegan and cruelty free which automatically won bonus points with me as particularly natural and cruelty free products are what I try to buy.
In terms of the balm itself, it was a solid balm that felt moisturising on the lips and really did smell like mint chocolate chip. Colourwise it was a pale yellowish colour but came out clear on the lips.
It lasts about as long as any other lip balm but is the best smelling and kindest lip balm I have ever had. I would look at buying it again, but it is a little pricer than most lip balms so it might have to be a treat lip balm.
I've also just discovered here that I can possibly buy it at Cotton On Body so I will be checking that out.
