Dedicated to Nature Maintain Face Mask Review

When I initially opened the 50g screw top tub, I was surprised to see a mud mask that looked exactly like a decadent chocolate mousse! Thick, creamy, rich chocolate brown that looked good enough to eat. The smell is an unusual blend of kiwi fruit and lavender which is hard to describe but is not unpleasant in any way.

I dug my fingers into the pot and scooped out a generous amount. I'd already cleansed and exfoliated my face and my bubble bath was warm and inviting, so I spread the mud mask over my face and neck (avoiding my eyes and lips), climbed into the bath and a lay back. What bliss!

The mud mask did tingle a little at first, but it was nothing bad and settled down after about minute. I guessed it was just the mask settling into my pores after they'd been cleansed and exfoliated. After lying back and relaxing for 15 minutes, I ran some more warm water and used the clean water straight out the tap to rinse off the mask. Wow, my skin felt smooth, hydrated and nourished, yet oh-so-clean!

I do love a good mud mask, although this one is a little on the pricy side as the 50g tub doesn't last very long. If I had to improve one thing about this product it would be the packaging, the screw-top lid is a little difficult to get back onto the tub at times, especially when some of the mask has dried around the rim of the lid.

Would I purchase this product in future? I'm not sure. It's not a bad mask and does deliver on it's promises but it is a little on the expensive side considering the number of uses you get out of the little pot.
