Dermalogica is one of my favourite brands, I've been using their products on and off for years, as the products I have tried so far have been so lovely and hydrating for my skin. I currently use the ultra calming cleanser for cleansing /makeup removal followed by intensive moisture for my moisturiser.
I decided to branch out and try their age smart range, including this moisturiser as I thought it might be more suited to me in prevention against the fine lines that are starting now that I'm in my early thirties.
The packaging is so stylish, simple and sleek- like all other Dermalogica products. The white and grey colour way just looks good on my vanity. The Dermalogica packaging is modern and looks fresh.
This moisturiser on application feels nice and light. It seemed to give me good hydration to my face, although not as moisturising as my usual, intensive moisture balance. I like that it doesn't have fragrance and feels gentle yet nourishing.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure whether it was the SPF included in this moisturiser or one of the other ingredients, but my face broke out in small cyst-like pimples and reacted to this. It's taken me a while to get my face clear. So, it seems that this moisturiser is too rich for my skin type. It's a shame, as I thought it would be a great product for anti-ageing. But, I think as I have sensitive skin that can be reactive, this just did not suit me.
I've gone back to my beloved Dermalogica intensive moisture balance for a moisturiser, which is just a perfect moisturiser for me. I'm sure this would be great for other people with different skn types, but it just didn't work for me.
Tips: If you have sensitive skin it may be best to give this a miss.
