Dermalogica Special Cleansing gel

You cannot go wrong with Dermalogica. I am really particular what goes on my face and I trust their products. Special Cleansing gel is easy to use. Only a small amount is needed and goes a long way. Bottle comes in various sizes. I always have a travel size too. Face feels so clean and smooth after use. Little bit in your hand with drop of water and rub together to make a foam to rub on your face. So easy and skin feels like a million dollars.

I can not rave about this product enough, i am an addict lol. it leaves my skin feeling amazing and removes all my make up etc.

I will always be slightly biased when it comes to Dermalogica. As a qualified Beauty Therapist, it is the skincare range I trained in from day one, and I have used it both personally and professionally ever since.

The packaging is clean, simple and user friendly. The cleanser is a clear, gel like liquid, with minimal to no scent.

I can honestly say that this is a great cleanser. It does state that it is great for all skin types, and generally speaking this is true - however it's not a one size fits all product and I highly recommend speaking to a trained Dermalogica professional before purchasing this outright. (You might find there is a better alternative depending on your individual needs).

Dispense a very small amount (think 10c piece) into your hand, add water, lather up, and gently massage over the face. Rinse off with warm water or a warm cloth/sponge. Repeat.

This will remove all traces of make up - if you are using it to take off your make up, ensure that you do follow the double cleanse rule.

Follow with your chosen/prescribed exfoliant, toner and moisturiser.

This is a fantastic cleanser in my eyes. Its a gel so it isn't too runny or too thick, it has just the right consistency. It really does work for all skin types as its not too harsh yet it has got enough of a kick to keep your skin clean and fresh. Its not too aggressive either, as in it doesn't make your skin feel like it has had all its nutrients taken out of it and stripped bare and raw. I would use this all the time, only if I could afford all the products I would need for my daily routine :)

I was put onto Dermalogica by a friend who works in the beauty industry. She explained that (in my mid-20s) I should try not to use cleansers that are aimed at teenagers - I'm past the awkward acne phase of 3rd form and my skin needs something different now.

Dermalogica is an investment, I pay close to $100 for a bottle, but it lasts up to 12 months and I'll never look back. To make sure I don't get too trigger happy with the pump (I tended to give myself too much simply because I was pushing down too hard) I use a separate, smaller bottle which helps me manage how much I'm using.

You only need a small amount, the size of a pea, to create a really good lather. Of course if you're taking off makeup you might need to go for a second round.

It doesn't make my skin feel dry or tight - just fresh and clean.

I love the product, I use this in my daily morning routine, Ive found using it sparingly does make that small difference. I found it too make my face feel refreshed and is quite nourishing when applying, it has quite a gentle sensation thats great for my sensitive skin. I love the faint scent it does have, I find this scent to still be on my skin throughout the day.

I've been currently loving and using the Dermalogica special gel for 3 months now, throughout the years a number of ladies have highly recommended the Dermalogica skin care range but with everything else on my must try list it took me that long to use this baby. I have normal to combination skin and this cleanser works beautifully.

The clean sleek white packaging is very simple. The contents is gold for my skin. I use this in the morning when I shower, and at night time if Im wearing makeup on that day.

I wet my face with warm water then squeeze about a 10 cent coin worth of gel onto my fingertips, using the tips of my fingers I rub this in circular motions all over my face and neck, once I've done this for a minute or so I wash it off with warm water. The water just glides off my skin, it feels and looks smooth. I normally go in after this with the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant.

After cleansing my face I always see a noticeable difference in my skin, my face is more plump, more awake and very smooth. The tops of my cheeks used to have small pores but after using this for the past few months they have shrinked tremendously. I like this cleanser so much because it doesn't smell harsh and it cleans my skin very well without drying it out afterwards.

Since using this product my mother has also purchased this and is loving it as much as me. I highly recommend this product.

I switched to Special Cleansing gel after I found my skin was getting too dry with the age-smart cleanser.

This product has bang for buck - very very little is needed, and it foams up so easily. Your skin feels really clean and fresh afterwards.

I use literally a smudge of product, and really lather up my skin, and then a good rinse. It's not drying, and it really cleans your skin. It's a good all-rounder as far as cleansers go. Even the husband uses this product!

This cleanser is gentle and cleanses without stripping the face of natural oils - it cleanses without leaving your face dry with tightened skin. I usually use the cleanser after I have removed my makeup with cotton wool pads + micellar water, but if I am short on time, washing my face twice with this cleanser has also done the trick in removing my makeup. It doesn’t have a smell and it foams well enough.

I originally used this product and didn't like it and started trialling other cleansers. Then received a sample of this product which I put off using until I took it in my hospital bag as a cleanser when I had a baby and loved it!! Soft cleansing and doesn't strip natural oils. Have purchased full size product.
