This has been a 'hero' item for me a couple of years now- understated, but you REALLY appreciate it if you use something else and come back to it! Gentle, a silky emulsion, it is effective at removing the dregs of the day without leaving that awful tight feeling.

This is a gel cleanser, which has a refreshing, almost cooling feel when I use it. I used this for 6 months - a 250ml bottle lasted me the whole time, so I found it really affordable. My skin felt nice and clean after using it, and it was very gentle but I prefer a cream cleanser to a gel - for this reason I have gone back to using Dermalogica's Essential Cleansing Solution, which I used prior to trying out the Special Cleansing Gel. I would use this again if I could not get the cream cleanser instead, and would recommend it for anyone who likes a gel cleanser.
I've been using this cleanser alongside other dermalogica products for 6 months now and am seriously loving how my skin is looking and feeling! My pores are so small now which is great and my skins texture looks alot smoother. It gives a nice refreshed feel to your skin without being too tight or drying.
Tips: A little goes a long way!
My skin is fairly normal, with the occasional dry areas and breakout. I have found this cleanser perfect for my skin, it kept in clear, reduced dryness and not harsh. I love Dermalogica products and this cleanser is no exception.
Tips: You don't need much as it foams up well with water. It is a bit more expensive than other products (but totally worth it), so I would look for deals or go for the bigger size as its more cost effective.
This is a lovely cleanser, soft on the skin and leaves your skin feeling super smooth. However, I find that cetaphil will give you the same results for quarter of the price.
In my opinion it is definitely not worth the price you pay for it and it didn't help with my acne prone skin either, sometimes the expensive stuff is just as good as the products you can buy at your local supermarket
Tips: A little goes a long way, it comes out quite fast so be careful
I enjoyed using this cleansing gel, very gentle to use. My skin felt clean and not tight. No scent as well.
Tips: This would be a good cleanser to use when your skin is feeling irritated or if you have sensitive skin.
I got a sample of this at a clinic and decided to give it a go.
Has a pleasant smell. It has a runny gel like consistency which you foam up is very silky and you just add a little more water if you want it to glide a bit more.
You only need a small amount, a little goes a long way with this gel. And a bottle lasts forever, I only got a sample size and it last me a good 4 months.
My skin felt really clean and fresh afterwards I have dry/sensitive skin, I found it was quite drying the more I used it on my skin, leaving my skin feeling a bit tight, especially round the cheek area.
A great product but just not right for my skin type.
Tips: Make sure to work into a good foam in your hands first before washing your face
I got this cleanser in a sample pack from Dermalogica and have used it off and on for a while now but can't seem to make a long-term commitment.
The packaging is ok. I feel that for the price you pay it could be so much better though. The bottle is white plastic (I'd prefer clear so you know how much product is left) and the words have pretty much worn completely off the bottle to the point that you can't even read it anymore.
The formula is nice. It goes on nice and silky, and a little goes a LONG way. I do find it strange that they say to cleanse with it twice, I'd have assumed that a good cleanser would work with one pass over the skin but I dutifully do as I'm told anyway.
My skin does feel nice and soft after using it, but this is about as far as the benefits go. I haven't noticed any reduction in pore size, oil production, acne etc. It simply just gently cleanses my skin.
I'd purchase this again but only in a sample size. It lasts forever anyway and that way I don't feel like I'm overspending on a product that doesn't do a huge amount.
Tips: Try a sample size first and only squeeze out a small amount. This cleanser goes a LONG way once on your skin!
I used this after the pre-cleanse and it seemed pretty heavy duty as in, I felt the chemicals really clean my face up BUT my face got quite sensitive afterwards which doesn't happen a lot these days. Fortunately the Dermalogica specialist sold me a spray for that but I'm dubious about this product.
Tips: Buy the travel size if you're keen to try this.
This would have to be my favourite cleanser. I have recently gone through trying out a variety of others trying to find a 'cheaper' option but I haven't found a single one that compares. I find this fantastic for my sensitive skin, I have never had any irritations. I have found it works great for removing light make up and also perfect for using in the shower.
Tips: To save on buying more products you can use this as a pre-cleanser too. Just wash your face twice, first to wash dirt and make-up off and second to actually wash your skin. I find this results in much cleaner and clearer skin overall. :-) Only use a tiny amount (which is all that is needed) and the price doesn't end up as expensive as you think as it lasts for ages!
