I was nervous putting an oily cleanser on my skin as I already have quite oily skin however this product is great, it smells very nice and leaves your skin feeling very smooth and does not make it feel like you are over cleansing your skin. The only issue with this is the price of this product is definitely on the higher side and there are perhaps other oil cleansers I would buy and try out that are cheaper before going back to this one; however if you want to treat yourself and get a really great product, I would recommend this.

Deep-cleansing oil melts impurities and make-up from skin.
Achieve ultra clean and healthy skin with the Double Cleanse regimen that begins with PreCleanse.
Thoroughly melt away layers of excess sebum (oil), sunscreen, waterproof make-up, environmental pollutants and residual products that build-up on skin throughout the day with skin fortifying Olive, Kukui and Apricot oils.
Add water to transform this hydrophilic (water-loving) formula into a milky emulsion that easily rinses debris from the skin's surface, allowing your prescribed Dermalogica Cleanser to penetrate even further for professional cleansing results.
Formulated with conditioning Rice Bran and Vitamin E oils, this gentle blend can be used around the eye area to even remove waterproof mascara. Offers a deep cleansing ideal for even the most oily skin conditions. Formulated without artificial fragrances and colors

This product worked super well to remove all of my makeup. I do find oil cleansers messy (not just this brand) so I would use this in the shower to remove my makeup to avoid having oil running down hands/arms. It does what it says it will do - it removes makeup really well! I typically only wear tinted sunscreen and concealer and eye makeup (so not super heavy makeup) and it did the job.
Soooo good! literally melts the makeup away - this is the only thing that really gets rid of my foundations that have a longer staying power and are harder to remove. Great for removing eye makeup as well. Love, love love it!
This product was recommended to me by my beautician when I was suffering from terrible acne. The reason for my title is because I'm not completely sure a precleanse is necessary, however I absolutely LOVED this product! The concept of rubbing oil into my skin freaked me out as my skin was terrible. Wasn't it excess oil that caused my skin problems in the first place? I have since researched this and I use natural oils daily on my face and body. So the product goes onto your skin like an oil as you rub it in any make up you have on dissolves into it so you end up looking like a oily grimy freak. Once you add a small amount of water the product turns into a milky like substance. Once rinsed off all make up is gone and your face is fresh and ready to cleanse with your usual cleanser. I have ridiculously sensitive skin and using this product to remove make up (and eye make up!) caused me no irritation and really helped my skin. Unfortunately I can't always afford to buy dermalogica (even though the bottle lasts for ever! And I'm a poor student) when I can, I do. Will definitely purchase again when I can afford it.
I love nearly all dermalogica products, pre cleanse is great, it helps to remove all the excess oils, dirt and make up, which itdoes quite throughly even gel liner which can be a pain to remove sometimes, so that you can deep cleanse with your next cleanser, perfect for sensitive skin too with no irritation,
This pre cleanse is an oily product. Sounds weird but its great for oil skin, as oil actually breaks down oil. weird i know. It has a delicious lemony citrus scent and works amazingly! When i was doing my beauty therapy at home i used this on most of my clients and never had a reaction. it removes most of your makeup then followed by your daily cleanser to remove the rest :)
Tips: Apply to a dry face work it in for a minute or two, then wet hands and work small amounts of water into your face, this will then turn it into a milk which is then ready to be removed. best removed with wet makeup remover sponges.
I used this product while studying at Beauty school and Oh my gosh. It smells divine like a botanical wonderland, feels divine and removes all makeup so easily! I highly recommend this product. Beautiful
Tips: Soak cotton pads and hold over eyes for 15-20 seconds to remove eye makeup.
I was sent this product when I was a magazine editor and back then the concept of putting oil on my skin was so foreign. Ironically now I make skin oils for a living! I am a huge fan of Dermalogica and have used their Total Eye Care for over a decade. This product is great for those who have never experienced the magic of using oils on the face that literally melt away dirt and impurities. Not only that this product lasts ages and smells great so it lives up to what it says it will do. It's obviously not completely natural so not for those who are concerned about using certain chemicals on the skin but I'm a firm believer in the oil cleansing method so if I wasn't using my own oil I would use this again. Just be aware that over cleansing the skin can make the skin produce even more oil so cleansing after this product is not always necessary despite how it is pitched as a pre-cleanse.
Tips: It's also a great pre-shave for boyfriends (softens up their stubble) and also good for shaving legs...
Pretty easy to write this one! I was given this product - might not have thought to buy an oil for cleansing - but it is now an essential in my routine.
What I love: product lasts forever. A few drops melt away makeup, even my all-day foundation. It smells divine. And although it's billed as a pre-cleanse, a second cleanse isn't always needed (so it's very effective).
What I don't like: nothing. See? Told you this was an easy review to write!
Tips: Can be expensive but quite often on sale via sites like Brands Exclusive.
Although this is a beautiful product, there are so many other pre cleansers on the market that are a lot more affordable. I will say it does get the job done though and it takes off the heaviest of makeup with a very small amount so it would be an investment if you're looking for a luxury makeup remover.
