I am a Dettol fan from way back. This is just another fantastic product to add to my list in the groceries. I keep the mini bottles of Dettol hand sanitiser everywhere - handbag, glove box, kids school bags and the big pump bottle on the kitchen bench. The sanitiser feels fantastic on your skin, sensitive and it also isn't as potent smelling as other brands I have previously used. I like that it comes in a variety of scented options to help reduce the heavy alcohol smell. Thanks Dettol.

I have used this for a while now, I keep a small bottle of it in my office desk drawer at work and one in my handbag.
Who knows if it really does the trick without doing some testing but it certainly feels like it does - its cooling on the skin & gives off a refreshing smell, my hands just feel cleaner after a few small drops rubbed all over my hands.
Its so cheap too and lasts ages!
We brought a bottle of this from our local supermarket when the family came down with the flu. It was a must-use purchase at the time. Very strong in smell with an oily-but-drying feel, I really couldn't say whether it did it's job or not (as we all still have colds but they have gotten better...). Handy size, easily portable, nice and simply packaging. If you can get past the overly-antiseptic smell that Dettol is almost famous for then it's a decent product. Not sure how well it would do for sensitive skin types... our 5 year old tried it and her skin did go a little red.
Tips: Can be a bit pricey compared to other, lesser-known brands.
I was given this when i had my baby as you need to be wary of germs through the NB stage.. I was very disappointed that it left a very strong chemical taste on the hands and it lingered until i washed my hands thoroughly to get it off.
Now i know, some may be thinking WHY are you tasting it?! Well, when you eat or touch your face then lick your lips you can taste it. This is also very bad for me as my New born baby like to suck on my finger and so i stopped using it immediately. NOT child friendly in my opinion!
I work in a pharmacy and we have a bottle of this at the counter. I use it daily as we deal with a lot of sick patients. It feels nice to use and doesn't aggravate my hands as I am a eczema sufferer. Would recommend getting and they make one for the handbag which is so handy when your out and about.
Dettol is one of those brands that was a favourite of my mums. She used to buy it in bottles. I remember my first experience was buying one from a local supermarket. At the time I chose to buy a smaller version of this bottle was about a 20 ml, much smaller . It was small enough to fit in my bag. I don't think they are selling these small versions now.
One bottle cost me a couple of dollars. The bottle itself is easy to use. I find the consistency like a gel. It has quite a strong combination of dettol and alcohol smell. I normally use it if I go to restroom that doesn't have soap or I like to use it when I'm out just before a meal. I only need a couple of pumps to get the right amount to clean my hands.
The price of these bottles are cheap. I do like to use it on my children's hands when we are travelling. It's handy for me to just pop it in my bag wherever I'm going. I would buy it again. I would like to see them make other scents to make it smell better.
Firstly I love Dettol. It is a brand I know and trust. My family has been using Dettol for as long as I can remember, Hand Sanitizes are my faves. I have one beside my bed just because I have a cat and I like to sanitise my hands after patting her, I also keep one in my kitchen and one in my handbag.
They are so handy when you need to sanitize my hands at the randomest times. I will continue buying these!
I love the dettol brand. I have got a pump of this in my baby's room for before and after nappy changes and I also have a handy travel pack in my purse for the kids before eating while out and about. It is a nice consistency and it doesn't leave your hands all greasy. I have tried a couple of other brands and they just don't stand up to dettol. They last for quite a while so are definitely worth every penny
The convenience of this product is beyond awesome. I use the mini bottles in my handbag and car, then the full pump size in my kitchen and bathroom, not to mention at work too and also while travelling. (yes I'll admit Im a germ-a-phobe) I still use regular hand wash but this sanitizer is ideal for in between times or on-the-go to stop the spread of germs. I believe since using it, it has really helped stop the spread of those nasty colds and flus (especially since starting work in retail).
I find it absorbs fast and doesn't dry my hands out and leaves them feeling fresh and clean. I've tried a few other sanitizers and they were sticky didnt dry at all, so I tend to end up going back to Dettol every time.
You will always find a bottle of this within a 10m radius of me :P
Tips: Check out The Warehouse for purchasing, I've picked up a few bottles of this cheaper than anywhere else.
I have been using this hand sanitizer since my high school days! (I'm 21 now) I love this product, especially in travel size. I am never without a bottle in my handbag when I'm out running errands, out having lunch/dinner, or at a music festival (public toilets, ew). I prefer this sanitizer over all others just because I enjoy the clean lasting scent, and it's availability in almost every store nearby.
Tips: Be careful when applying, watch out for broken skin or irritation anywhere on your hands (or body[??]) as this product will really sting when it comes into contact
