Dettol Healthy Touch Hand Sanitiser Instant Refresh Review

I am a little skeptical about hand sanitisers but never the less I use them regularly. I find that Dettol is the most popular on the market but I definitely prefer something with a nicer scent, such as the Palmolive hand sanitisers. I don't really enjoy smelling like disinfectant!

We brought a bottle of this from our local supermarket when the family came down with the flu. It was a must-use purchase at the time. Very strong in smell with an oily-but-drying feel, I really couldn't say whether it did it's job or not (as we all still have colds but they have gotten better...). Handy size, easily portable, nice and simply packaging. If you can get past the overly-antiseptic smell that Dettol is almost famous for then it's a decent product. Not sure how well it would do for sensitive skin types... our 5 year old tried it and her skin did go a little red.

Dettol is one of those brands that was a favourite of my mums. She used to buy it in bottles. I remember my first experience was buying one from a local supermarket. At the time I chose to buy a smaller version of this bottle was about a 20 ml, much smaller . It was small enough to fit in my bag. I don't think they are selling these small versions now.

One bottle cost me a couple of dollars. The bottle itself is easy to use. I find the consistency like a gel. It has quite a strong combination of dettol and alcohol smell. I normally use it if I go to restroom that doesn't have soap or I like to use it when I'm out just before a meal. I only need a couple of pumps to get the right amount to clean my hands.

The price of these bottles are cheap. I do like to use it on my children's hands when we are travelling. It's handy for me to just pop it in my bag wherever I'm going. I would buy it again. I would like to see them make other scents to make it smell better.

Dettol products are great and this sanitiser really does feel like it gets rid of germs, leaving my hands feeling cool and tingly after I use. I will admit though that it can leave my hands smelling like that 'dettol sanitiser smell' for hours afterwards which can be off putting if I'm eating then the smell gets on my food. I do end up having to wash my hands with soap and water a couple times to get rid of the smell but I guess if your on the road or in a situation where you need sanitiser then it really does smell as though it would kill everything in sight, just don't use too much and be prepared to have a strong after smell on your hands for hours afterwards..

I used this at work for a few weeks, and I really disliked the smell. It smells super chemically in a really unpleasant way. But it does what it should, my hands feel really squeaky clean afterwards which is great. I just cant get past the smell.

as with the world events everyone went bananas for hand sanitizer and toilet paper. luckily i snagged this a week before lockdown 1.0.

thankfully not an overly alcohol smell and my hands dont feel dehydrated after using. it dries really quickly too which is a bonus. and i dont know what it is but because its got the dettol label on it, i feel like i can trust it more.

i also love the pump and ive since purchased a smaller bottle to have in my handbag and my car. its great.

I have young children and they are constantly getting their hands into things you dont want to know about, so I always have a hand sanitiser on hand I have used this brand and found it works but i feel as though it also drys out their skin. I use it too because I'm sort of a germ freak as a result of having my kids. I sanitise everything they use especially when we are in public and I dont have access to a bathroom. I usually buy the bigger sized bottles because I use hand sanitisers all the time and its not affordable. I dont use this brand anymore.

I don't mind this hand sanitiser, it doesn't have that awful slippery texture like some other hand sanitisers and it's quick to absorb. But since covid I think there's other brands out there doing better hand sanitisers.

Dettol has to be the best hand sanitiser there is it always smells and feels so clean and sanitised. great to keep a small one on you to use after touching thing all the time

I carry a mini around in my nappy bag and i have found it does what it says however dislike the slightly sticky feel to your hands if you put just a tad too much on!
