I did not realise that these retail at around $14.99 but I brought a few packets of these wipes from the warehouse for $5 (had to double check they were the same exact wipes and they are) because my normal Neutrogena wipes weren't on special.
When I wear makeup I normally wear a full face of makeup which is liquid foundation, concealer, eyeshadows, bronzer & waterproof mascara and I need wipes that will remove all of this makeup without having to rub my face vigorously.
They have the pleasant Dove signature smell and the wipes are very soft, removing my make up is such a breeze, it removed my waterproof mascara effortlessly which I was very impressed with.
When I brought these wipes my expectations were low, I just thought that they would be average wipes but I was very wrong. They are none greasy and leave your skin feeling refreshed and cleansed.
Im sorry to admit this but I do like these more than the Neutrogena wipes and ive been using those for years!
I have dry, semi-sensitive skin with a semi oily t-zone.
I used to use this product for taking the bulk of my make up off before I go onto cleansing. It takes my eye makeup off with ease but tread carefully! It does sting slightly so I don't imagine contact lense wearers or anyone for that matter would appreciate that. If you are careful not to get the actual residue in your eye, it's totally fine. I just use it on my eyes to start melting all the mascara and eyeliner before I go into using a cleanser.
The towelettes themselves are gentle on the skin and they have a decent amount of wetness to them. Texture wise, they feel very soft.
They weren't lying about the "lotion" in it because it leaves residue on the skin, which to some people, might not necessarily be a bad thing.
I don't think it does moisturize and tone much though. I think it's just your standard make up removing wipe.
I also do not recommend using this as the one and only product for your nightly skincare routine. I did it once because I was having a particularly lazy day and regretted it the next morning because it broke me out. It might not break other people out but I still don't think make up remover wipes, no matter how good it says it is, should replace your cleanser, toner and moisturizer.
Overall, a very decent product.
Tips: Be very gentle on your eyes and do not use as the one and only product for nightly skincare routines. :)
