Dove Facial Cleanser Deep Pure Review

I used Dove products all through Uni being a poor student. I only stopped using them when I could afford products like Clinique. For the price of this cleanser it is very good and I think one of the best you can purchase at a supermarket. It is a bit thick but I like thick cleansers as I feel like they moisturise my skin as well as cleaning. It foams up really well so you don't need to use a lot and feels nice and creamy on your skin. I always used this to remove my makeup and it worked well, it didn't leave any residue and took my eye makeup off fine (I don't use waterproof mascara). My skin felt really fresh and moisturised and not dry or tight. Would highly recommend for the price!

I'm really sorry but I never had a problem with spots on my face and neck until I started using this product. I continued to use it for a few weeks to see if it was getting rid of dirt?! I also find the bottle too hard to open in the shower and need to open with my teeth. I do like the fragrance and I like that there is a lot of product in the bottle so value for money but sorry Dove, no more for me! What I don't understand is, I have used Dove soap everyday on my face (and body) since it first made the TV and have never had a problem - I love the soap! So I am left a little stumped.

I'm not too fussed on this cleanser it smells quite soapy. It's a very thick white cream cleanser it did foam up a lot so you do only have to use a little amount probably the size of a 20cent coin. I couldn't feel any grit or see any beads in it. It says on the back of the tube it contains "micro puffs that are up to 10x smaller than scrubs" but I couldn't feel anything. It comes in a good soft tube so you can easily get the right amount out. It also sits on its flip top lid easily. After using my face did feel clean and fresh until I dried it then it was very tight and shiny! until I moisturised. Definitely better out there.

I don't love this cleanser, but at the same time, I don't hate it. It does a good job of cleaning my combination oily/normal face and doesn't break me out. I haven't noticed any long-term effects from using this product, positive or negative.

It is very thick and this is both good and bad. You only need a small amount to clean your whole face so a bottle lasts for ages, but the amount of times I have accidentally dropped my blob in the shower or sink before getting it on my face...

I would repurchase if it was on sale and I needed a cleanser quick, but I'd prefer to try some other products after giving this one a go.

Warehouse had this 30% off so I thought why not I wanted to try a new cleanser anyway. I was hoping for a slightly more intensive clean what with all the 'micro puffs' on the back of the tube. It had looked quite promising at Warehouse and the price was only 4.50 so I bought it on a whim. Used it for about a week now and I don't really notice much. It's a very creamy and smooth cleanser. Foams up ok and I only need a tiny bit each time. The smell is very boring, just your typical cleanser/scrub smell. I don't think it really scrubbed all the dirt and oil from my pores but at least it didn't leave my face feeling too dried out. I did feel somewhat cleaner so for an average, cheap, everyday cleanser I'd buy this again.

I was recently given this as a gift from my Nana and looked forward to using it as I've always loved Dove soap. My skin felt really clean and soft afterwards however I have a few areas on my face with really large pores and a day or two later got a huge pimple. I think the micropuffs got trapped in my pores. I haven't used the facial cleanser again.

I guess it doesn't work for some people but it worked for me. The micro puffs they talked about you can't feel but I know they work because my skin is 100% cleaner afterwards and it feels really toned. It feels like those micro puffs evened out my skin completely. You only need the smallest amount mixed in with water so it lasts for ages! Great price too. I have normal to dry skin type and it worked great for me.

I use Dove facial cleansers because they are inexpensive and they smell so pretty!!!! The micropuffs seem to do their thing and while only needing to use a small amount it cleanses my face well. I use both in the morning and evening and will continue to use this product just because you get great bang for your buck!

I decided to trial the Dove Facial cleanser deep pure mainly due to the price. This cleanser is really affordable (around $6.50 not on special) and it cleanses really well. The fluffy micro-puffs leave my skin feeling fresh and clean and I have not had as many breakouts since using this product (this may be due to age rather than the product). The cleanser itself is quite thick and creamy and foams up well so you do only need a small amount. the smell is not super great- a mix of a soap smell and something else quite cosmetic. I will continue to use this as I have not found any other products which are cheap and do as good of a job :)
