The good things: it is nice to use, no strong odours & only need a little to cover face. however, I didnt feel like my face really got cleaned - in fact after using I could remove more makeup/grime with my clean fingers. It was good to use after an exfoliant however. Nearly at the end of the container & I'll be buying something else next time

I used this even before they changed the packaging (just saying) hahaha but seriously. Before my skin became trilogy only this was my go to. It is super cheap and does the job.
I especially liked how easy it was to remove my make up. Even if I was feeling super lazy and only used this my skin was better for it. Never sleep with your make up on was probably drummed very heavily into me.
If you are using this you need to also be using a moisturizer (I know, I know....most of you already know this but it wouldn't be a fair review if I didn't advise those who didn't) because it will leave your skin thirsty unlike cream cleasners (which is why I changed).
However if I needed to go back to a different cheaper one I only have two choices and this is one of them. I really, really do not have a good relationship with make up wipes so if you are also finding them a pain and harsh - just try this for two weeks your skin will feel better.
Tips: A good first cleanser - but make sure you follow up with a good moisturizer so your skin isn't left dry. Also becareful you close the lid on these - trust me x
I used Dove products all through Uni being a poor student. I only stopped using them when I could afford products like Clinique. For the price of this cleanser it is very good and I think one of the best you can purchase at a supermarket. It is a bit thick but I like thick cleansers as I feel like they moisturise my skin as well as cleaning. It foams up really well so you don't need to use a lot and feels nice and creamy on your skin. I always used this to remove my makeup and it worked well, it didn't leave any residue and took my eye makeup off fine (I don't use waterproof mascara). My skin felt really fresh and moisturised and not dry or tight. Would highly recommend for the price!
Tips: You don't need a lot as it foams up well.
When I'm looking for a cleanser I look for the size of the product firstly so that it can last me at least a month. Secondly I look for a cleanser that's not harmful to my skin as I have sensitive areas on my face, mainly my cheeks. Lastly I like to look for something affordable.
This dove cleanser comes in a tube. Its quite a small tube. The texture of this cleanser is soft and smooth. Its white in colour and has a light weight consistency. I find this scent mild and fresh. The scent remind me of fresh linen.
I normally use cleansers in the morning and also for make up removal. I only needed about the size of a ten cent coin to cover my face. It spreads out evenly. I find it has a cooling fresh feeling on my skin. I think for around six dollars a tube it's affordable. It's good if your starting out. I did use it after wearing make up and it helped clean it off nicely. One tube can last me a few weeks with regular use. I had no skin irritations with this. A good little product to try out.
I really like the feeling of this cleanser on my skin at the time. It's very gentle and fresh feeling and takes off any excess makeup I may have missed when removing it. You only need a tiny amount and it foams up nicely to cover your whole face.
However, unfortunately my skin doesn't agree with it afterwards. I have very dry skin and this cleanser makes it feel very tight afterwards and quite uncomfortable.
It's a shame because it is such a good price! I do think this would be good for people with not so sensitve/dry skin though.
Tips: You only need about a pea (or two) sized amount! A little goes a long way
This cleanser didn't work for me. It left my skin extremely dry, tight and sore, I had to apply 3 times the usual amount of moisturiser to give me some relief. In a good note it was really cheap and removed most make up (just not eyes). Might suit those with oiler skin
In my personal opinion, i did find for the price and the brand it is understandible, I wasnt overwhelmed about the product, it was pretty average, it did nothing drastically amazing, it did make my skin feel clean, but it also dryed and added redness. i had to apply a palm ful of moisturiser just to make my skin feel hydrated again.
I used this product on holiday when I left my toilet bag at home and needed something to get me through for a few days. It was cheap at $5 from Countdown and the packaging wasn't too big and bulky so ideal for travel. I was impressed by how thoroughly it cleansed, stripping all traces of the day away, including makeup. It was thick and lathered very well so only a small amount was needed. It did irritate my skin a bit though and I found it to be quite drying. Not ideal for my aging skin but would probably work well for acne prone or oily skin.
I remember hating this. It left my skin dry and squeaky clean which I hated. Dove is nice, heaps of great products, but I've never like their cleansers.
I bought this cleanser because it was on special and dove is a fairly trusted brand.. First impressions - I absolutely loathe this packaging! It appears to be pretty standard and maybe I just got a faulty one, but the lid is very hard to open and close. I really gotta force the Damn thing open and closed, it's inconvenient and annoying.
The consistency is nice, smooth and creamy as it lathers and goes for miles.
This cleanser provided a pretty good clean, removing make-up well, however it doesn't leave my skin feeling particularly refreshed or hydrated. In fact I find it to be a bit drying when used every day.
I have noticed that I haven't had any pimples in the last month or so that I've been using this cleanser, not that I have an issue with acne but generally get odd one every now and again.
It's an alright cleanser, not bad for the price despite the stupid lid, definitely wouldn't repurchase though.
