Dove Summer Glow Review

This product is great if you want to build a subtle summer glow if you're too afraid to use awkward to use sprays or don't want to damage your skin in the sun. The cream form helps with an even application, therefore an even tan and you can apply a little or a lot depending on how dark you want to get. Only downfall for me, is the strong scent, staying in your clothing and sheets.

Absolutely love this for the dark Winter, pale days. Works as a great natural glow. I'm very pale and I use the darkest shade, if you're nervous about fake tanning, this is a great first step, as the gradual tan, leaves your skin feeling brown and glowy without being streaky. Does have a coconut smell, which I don' mind

The tanning cream is nice to use for a tanner glow and it makes you feel more confident and I can wear shorts without having to worry about being so pale

I have never really used self tan it freaks me out cause I have seen so many orange streaky looking people over the years. I get very white through winter and then hate showing my white legs come summer! and this lotion is great! It's fine on my sensitive skin and just gives that little bit of warmth colour to make me feel more confident getting my legs out. As summers coming up I'll be repurchasing this!!

Great for giving you a subtle glow but not so good for building up to look super tanned. I use this product over winter but for summer I like to use a fake tan product as the dove gradual tanner can look quite orange when you start to layer it up. It does have a very strong fake tan smell so be wary if you're applying it right before you head out, it also takes quite a few hours for a tan to develop but it doesn't need to be washed off and doesn't stain sheets so it's great to put on before bed!

Not a fan of the dove range, they dont really have a distinctive feel. This particular product is great for my skin though giving it a great glow and leaving my body feeling smooth and looking great :)

It works well but honestly it makes you smell like a damn tanning factory. It's pretty strong smelling which is unfortunate. Use it before bed so its not so strong smelling the next day!!

According to Dove their Summer Glow self-tanner will hydrate your skin whilst providing a natural summer glow all year round. I totally agree. I love this product. I use the normal to dark version most days after showering. Having said that I have gone a few days without applying and my tan hasn't faded. I use the product on my legs. The consistency of the cream is just right and absorbs well. The product is easy to apply and sinks in easily allowing me to put on trousers pretty much immediately. I like the subtle realistic colour, the kind my skin would go naturally. Used over a few days the colours develops nicely. I like that there is no 'tanning' smell and its light subtle scent is a big plus. Great moisturising - my skin feels supple and soft after using. When it does fade the effect is quite even without any of the patchiness from some fake tans. A great product.

This is fantastic if your wanting to build up for summer so your not going from one extreme to the other. I would us it a while to build up before applying fake tan so I didn't go from white to tan over night. Don't forget to wash your hands after use.
