Firstly the scent is to die for. The texture is soft and creamy and left my skin feeling amazing. No heavy residue that you get sometimes with face creams. I prefer a tube as I find potties can be a little unhygienic. I suffer with rosacea so I normally use a custom made skincare to avoid irritating my skin however this cream didn't give me any grief and is priced better than my current skincare products so it may be worth switching.

The container is black with a pretty Dimond pattern shape cut in the lid that screws off, lovely packaging. The cream is white silky and soft and light to touch. This is easy as it’s day and night in one so go taking less products when you need less products, it’s great, and just slap on some sunblock on top for day wear. It’s fragrance is a little artificial a light plastic floral but only ever so lightly. This absorbed in without leaving a greasy feel or shine, did the job and left my skin moisturised and no tight feeling. I was moisturised in the morning with my skin feeling nice and soft. For a moisturiser for day and night this is a nice product it did the job it’s easy to cart around and if your not home just the one jar for face cream makes it too easy. A broad bean size was all I needed for my face and neck. I’d recommend this if your after a nice light cream that doesn’t leave skin feeling heavy or gluggy, my skin is usually dull and this cream did give it a little more brightness that's always a bonus as I think the older you get the duller your skin looks. I think it’s value for money.
A big thank you to Beauty Review for letting me trial this product!
I’ve actually heard a little bit about the Luminosity range from Dr Lewinn’s Eternal Youth product line and there seemed to be quite a bit of hype about it – even the packaging advises that its already received 4/5 stars from another beauty review company.
I, however, was not impressed.
Firstly the product looks, feels and smells lovely – quite lightweight and almost gel-like in texture with a really pleasant fresh and slightly floral scent.
I applied the product generously to my face and neck (as per the instructions on the box) and at first it felt great – really silky and cooling – but I didn’t find it moisturising at all. And then after a few moments, it seemed to set on my skin (it felt like makeup) and it went a bit streaky and felt quite powdery. Upon reviewing the ingredients I noticed that the second ingredient is Aluminium Starch Octenylsuccinate which (according to Dr Google) is an ingredient commonly found in makeup such as face powder. Could this be the reason why?
The following day I used less product and while it didn’t streak as previously mentioned, my skin still didn’t feel hydrated at all. I also found that there was too much shimmer, which I found odd in a product that you wore to bed.
The instructions on the box advised that results are visible after 9 days however, I only lasted 5 at which point my skin felt tight and more dry than usual. However in all fairness, the product doesn’t claim to be super hydrating. I also didn’t use the Dr Lewinn’s Eternal Youth Luminosity Day and Night Golden Essence as the instructions suggest.
I also felt that with a RRP of nearly $75 and instructions to use generously both morning and night, this product could prove very costly for some.
Would I recommend this to a friend? To my friends with dry and/or dehydrated skin – no. It’s simply not moisturising enough. But if dehydration is not an issue for you, you may have better results.
I bought this with dr lewins serum and eye cream. While the other products were ok, if overpriced, this product was the worst of the three.
It wouldn't soak into the skin, left it feeling greasy and would pill so impossible to wear under make up. Even in morning wouldn't have fully soaked in from night more and had to make sure it was well washed off before putting make up on.
Threw half a jar away instead of finishing and I never do that! Especially not a product this pricey.
I was so excited to try this cream. It comes in the most gorgeous jar, all sparkly like a gem. I usually prefer pump containers, but this is thick enough that a jar is best- just make sure not to dip grubby fingers in!
The cream itself smells really nice and fresh, and for such a thick cream it doesn't feel heavy. It absorbs surprisingly well and doesn't leave any greasy marks on my pillow. I've only used it in the evening as I prefer spf in day creams.
I've been using it for a few weeks and my skin loves it. I'd have to use it for longer to see if it lives up to the "Eternal Youth" name! My skin feels smooth and firm and it hasn't broken me out- there aren't too many products that leave my face feeling so nice!
Tips: Use a small spatula or q-tip to get the cream out to avoid contamination.
