I picked one up from the vault last time and I really liked the results, made my skin so soft and smooth! The effects lasted around 2 days, which is fine from a sheet mask that’s on my skin for only 15-20 minutes. This isn’t really a sheet mask, as it’s bio cellulose, not cotton or bamboo sheet, feels more like a hydrogel mask and I love it even more for this reason as I’ve found that hydrogel ones work much better on my skin, I have more noticeable results and it was the case with this bio cellulose mask as well. Once you go hydrogel/bio cellulose you won’t want a traditional sheet mask anymore, the results are just that much better. I took a couple of stars off because it didn’t fit my face that well and applying the mask was a chore too, it had extra protection on both sides, probably to not stick together and it took a couple minutes to get both sides off properly, so there’s that. I also didn’t like the scent much, it’s not strong but it’s not nice, I would’ve thought it’s just the ingredients all together, but when I looked on the packaging I think it said it had perfume in it, so not sure why it didn’t smell a bit better. Not 100% sure about the perfume though, sadly I threw the packaging out already, so I can’t double check.

Reviews
Dr Lewinn's Private Formula Vitamin & Mineral Nourishing Face Mask utilises Bio-Cellulose Technology, which allows the mask to adhere perfectly to the skin.
To start, I exfoliated my face and then cleansed with my usual foaming cleanser. I like to exfoliate before doing a face mask, as I want the benefits of the mask to sink into the fresh skin cells on my face and not any accumulated layers of dry, dead skin. It's just personal preference, but I feel that masks work better on me if I exfoliate first.
Next, I removed the single use mask from the sachet and peeled away one side of the protective mesh film (the sheet mask is sandwiched between two stiff protective sheets). I applied the wet, gel side of the face mask to my face and used my fingertips to smooth it out as well as I could before removing the outer mesh film. Once that was off, I gently repositioned the mask with my fingertips, smoothing it out and making sure that it hugged my face, before grabbing my Kindle so that I could sit and read for 20 minutes while the mask was on.
The fit of the mask wasn't perfect. The eye holes were okay, the nose was a little too long, which meant that the mouth hole ended up sitting over my bottom lip and chin. I had to push the bottom of the mask up a little, which created uncomfortable creases on my cheeks and ended up riding up under my eyes, but it wasn't the end of the world ... it was only for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes I removed the sheet mask, placed it back in the original packaging and threw all of it away. These masks are single use and cannot be reused. There was a lot of liquid left on my face, and even though the instructions on the sachet said to massage any remaining liquid from the sachet into your skin, there was far too much liquid for me to do that. I just massaged the ample residue left on my face into my skin.
Honestly, I wasn't blown away by this sheet mask. I'm not a fan of the clingy, clammy feel of sheet masks, but Dr Lewinn's ones are gel and feel a lot better than the more traditional liquid sheet masks that I've tried. My skin did look a little more plump and hydrated than usual, but that was only immediately after taking the mask off. The next day my skin looked the same as always does. I'm not really sure if I'd buy another one of these, although the packaging does recommend using the Vitamin & Mineral mask twice a week for the first month, and then whenever needed thereafter, so to see benefits from using these masks, you'd have to commit to at least 8 masks in a one month period (which I didn't know about when purchasing one of these).
Tips: I wasn't prepared to commit to buying 8 masks and using them all in one month (two per week), so I don't know what amazing benefits or effects you'd see after doing that. If anyone tries it, please let me know, as I'd like to read your review.
I love these masks. I managed to pick up a few different ones in the last Beauty Vault. Thanks BR! I like the packaging it comes in, an attractive foil sachet that is easy to tear open.
I have dry skin and it says that this mask instantly restores moisture and adds vitality to dull skin, exactly what I need. The mask itself is a gel like texture, there are 2 layers you need to peel off. This bit annoyed me as it was fiddly as the mask was all stuck together and dripping with product.
It did however fit my face well, it is super easy to adjust and it feels comfortable on. It also stays put and doesn't move around. I left it on for 20 minutes. There was a lot of product left on my face which I massaged in. It was sticky for a good 5 minutes before it dried down.
My skin felt super soft and hydrated. It definitely brightens my skin and makes me look fresh and vibrant. I love this mask and I will keep an eye on for sales as they are a bit more than I like to pay for a single use mask.
I've recently discovered my love of a few Dr Lewinn's products - these masks were probably the introduction and I've added more products as I go.
This particular mask from Dr Lewinn's Private Formula Vitamin range, is packed with lots of goodness.
The mask itself is easy to apply. It's folded between to thick protective sheets, and the mask itself is generously loaded with the mask serum. The shape and design of the mask makes it easy to fit to your face, and stay in place. The fit of this mask is definitely a lot better than some competing brands, and the flaps under the chin have a generous length to get under the chin, back to the neck area.
I use this in the morning, and tend to do some housework/chores while the mask works it's magic. It stays in place and is really comfortable for that 20 mins or so.
To prep for the mask I use Dr Lewinn's micellar cleansing water, from the same range, to give the mask a cleansed platform to do it's thing. After 20mins or longer, I remove the mask and let the product absorb into my skin, without rubbing in, and then follow with my usual skin care regime.
My skin glows and looks bright. Feels hydrated and looks a little plumper. If it's the weekend, it's usually enough to go about my day without makeup, it feels and looks that good!
I use sheet masks a couple of times a week - this one I save for Saturday or Sunday, and I think with a bit more routine to 'masking' I've started to see some real benefits. My skin usually goes through good patches and bad, and this range seems to be helping stabilise that a little more.
Highly recommend these masks. Great brand as well.
