I've never been disappointed with Dr LeWinn's products, and this serum is no different. Wow! I'm a bit of a fan of a high end serum, but that just got knocked off the pedestal.
This renew serum has a wow factor, and the wow happened quite quickly.
The packaging is very simple but sophisticated. The dropper is pretty simple, so you can easily dispurse too much, if you're a bit heavy handed. You only need the few drops recommended.
The serum itself is very light but packs some punch. I used it morning and night for the duration of the trial and after about a week, my skin was looking bright and clear. Being late 40's I have the wrinkles and the sun damage, so I love a serum that helps repair some of my youthful failings with my skin care. This serum definitely reduced the visibility of sun damage and the wrinkles softened a little too.
I have a scar above my lip that tends to look very red first thing in the morning and 3+ weeks on, it's a very pale pink first thing in the morning. My skin generally - very bright and clear. A healthy glow I'd call it. The serum itself used morning and night will last quite a while especially if you stick to the 2 or so drops, rather than dispursing everything in the dropper. I patted it on my skin rather than rubbing and it absorbed really well, and my skin felt great. I used this straight after toner morning and night.
Given the results I'll definitely continue with this serum. Great for my skin type and age bracket and delivers on its claims. The price is at the higher end, but I've used a serum I thought was the holy grail and was a lot more expensive, and I think the Dr LeWinn's Renew serum is as good - maybe better! I'm looking forward to trying more of the range and incorporating the serums into my daily regime!
Thanks BR Team for yet another awesome trial!
I was thrilled to be chosen for this review. I love Dr. Lewinn's skin care range and have used many in the past.
As with this whole range, the packaging is simple and clean. It has a drop applicator inbuilt to the screw-top lid which is pretty great. I worked out fairly quickly that the best way to fill up the applicator is to depress the top first so the serum fills it, then unscrew the lid and depress the serum into your hand. Unscrewing the lid and then filling the applicator is awkward and potentially risky of knocking the bottle over, which I found out a couple of times by doing exactly that! I'm sure this is obvious to most of you, but without clear instructions of how to apply, these things can take me a while to work out, lol.
The serum itself is light and glides on. A little goes a long way. I love that. You can definitely feel that a serum is helping deliver the benefits of your moisturiser as well, as it leaves your skin feeling dewy and hydrated. Top marks for that.
This serum is targeted at aging skin, with the aim being to brighten, smooth and renew. Used religiously for 4 weeks, I can't say that it has delivered visibly, but I've thoroughly enjoyed using it in my daily routine and enjoyed what feels like smoother skin, especially when applying moisturiser or BB cream.
Overall, I enjoyed this product, but I don't see any real benefits from using it over others I've used in the past.
Tips: Depress the application BEFORE unscrewing the lid to fill applicator. Works a treat!
