Dr Lewinns Reversaderm Complete System Review

From day one i was super excited to open and try this kit. I received - Reversaderm Clarifying Cleanser with Gycolic Acid, Microcellular Age correcting peel, Tri-Collagen accelerating serum, Antioxidant Regenerative Cream and Enzymatic Detoxifying Mask. We also received a detailed sheet with what we should use each day and recommending a two week break between cycles. I love the packaging its very classy and easy to identify each item. Day one begins with the cleanser, it has a creamy texture and a couple of pumps and a rub on your wet face and this citrus scent comes out it smells really nice especially first thing in the morning. I get a little bit of tingles but nothing uncomfortable. My face feels clean but not tight and dry. Next i apply the serum to my face which is a little bit harder to get out of the bottle, it has a dropper which i can't seem to work so i use the dropper to put a few blobs on my hand and then i rub it into my face. It doesn't seem to have a scent and soaks into my skin instantly, it feels a bit tight but again not uncomfortable. Then i apply the moisturiser which comes in a round container that you have to evenly push down and the cream comes up which i find good, as it means you don't use too much as its just the right amount. The moisturiser is lovely it soaks straight in as well and doesn't seem to have a scent.

Every second night i use the Peel which is completely different from any other peel I've used. First i cleanse and remove my makeup and cleanse with the clarifying cleanser then once my skin is completely dry i apply the peel, its a clearish liquid which has a strong vitamin c smell - not overpowering thou and i put this all over my face being careful of the area around my eyes i leave this on for 25 minutes it feels nice and cool on my skin and that continues for the time i leave it on, then i rinse it off with lukewarm water and i apply the serum and moisturiser. Its a different peel for me as its not really a peel as such its more of a clear mask.

Once a week i used the Detoxifying Mask which is so yummy, it has a purplish cream colour and just feels nice going on your skin, i apply this as a thin layer after i have cleansed and my skin is dry. I keep it on for the 20 minutes and once again it has a little tingle and my face feels cool for the time i keep it on, it has a fruity macadamia scent that makes you feel a bit relaxed. I then rinse off with lukewarm water and apply the serum and moisturiser. This is such a nice mask as your skin feels so good after it and i noticed after the second time my pores on my nose seem smaller! Yay!

This procedure carries on for two weeks and then i take a break and go back to my old routine. To be honest the old routine sucks and within a couple of days i feel that my skin is back to looking a bit dull and I've a few break outs so a day before I'm ready to start again i get back into it and my skin sighs with great relief.

I was so excited and felt incredibly lucky to be a part of this trial. I love skincare products, I have dry skin that is aging fast and wasn’t looked after properly in my teens. So this had my eyes wide like saucers when I read it was going to take away the top layer of my skin to reveal fresh, healthy new skin beneath.

Step 1- Glycolic Clarifying Cleanser, this cream cleanser is the perfect consistency not too runny and not too thick. 2 pumps and I’m good to go, it’s easy to massage around my face and being a cream cleanser there is no foam or bubbles. I massage this around for a few seconds then let it sit for 1 minute and rinse off. I normally let it sit longer at night when time is more on my side. The cleanser has a faint citrusy scent that only lasts a few seconds then it disappears, I didn’t notice any reactions only a slight tingle the first 2 days I used it. It was good though I felt like it was working! When I was wearing makeup I removed my makeup before using this cleanser. I was very pleasantly surprised at how non-drying this cleanser is, it’s very mild and doesn’t strip your skin and doesn’t dry it out, my skin always felt and looked fresh and clean.

Step 2- Resurface micro cellular age correcting peel, this comes in a pump top bottle the same as the cleanser but slightly smaller. The clear peel has a slight runny consistency and has the same citrus scent as the cleanser, it’s easy to dispense the serum out, 3 pumps leaves a good layer over my face. This peel is used every second day and is left on your face for 20 minutes before gently washing clean. I do notice a bit of a reaction to this peel, it’s almost like a slight burning, slight stinging sensation but after 5 minutes it disappears. Afterwards my skin feels so soft

Step 3- Revive tri-collagen accelerating Serum, this serum comes in a bottle with a dropper, (I love the fact there is no wastage with a dropper) 1.5 droppers is enough to cover my face. The serum is a pearlescent colour with an almost herbal scent, but it is so faint and barely noticeable. It does take a while to absorb into my skin but once it does fully absorb there is no residue just very soft skin- like can’t stop touching my face soft!

Step 4- Restore Antioxidant Regenerate Cream, there are so many reasons I love this cream! Firstly the packaging, I have never had a moisturiser in this style packaging before and it’s awesome. Under the clear lid is like a round pad that you very carefully push down and the moisturiser comes out and you just swipe it off its genius! The scent of the moisturiser is floral and gorgeous the consistency is medium not too thick or thin. It absorbs easier than the serum and I also love how this is to be used both morning and night instead of having a day and a night cream.

Inside the courier box was a plain black paper bag with string handles. Inside this bag were 5 products all pearly white with silver bandedlids and silver printing on each container and a booklet explaining each product. This was a very nice impact and a really classy look. Products made in Australia. The Booklet advised what each product does and template showing when to use to use each product. The Cleanser is in a tall cylinder shaped pump container .The cleanser is a white lotion which you massage in and leave for 2 minutes before rinsing off. Initially this was a bit tingly on my skin . It has a very nice fruity ,paw paw type scent. The Serum is in a dumpy container with a dropper in the lid . The white Serum had a low scent and disappeared immediately into my skin. The dropper I found a bit useless. The Moisturiser is in a round stubby container. The lid looks too heavy for the container. Inside is a creamy coloured mousse style . This cream has a buttery scent, fruity, heavier than the cleanser. The top has a stopper in the top and the lid is a pump which made the product easy to use. These three products are the daily essentials. Time for the first peel - this was a total first for me. The product is in a canister style pump cylinder similar to the cleanser but shorter. The lotion was a white creamy solution and I applied as advised with a massage to my skin avoiding the eye area . My skin immediately felt sharp prickles but again this had been forewarned. The scent is strong and minty. After ten minutes the tingling abated and the product had a really cold effect on my skin. Finally the mask at the end of the week . This product is in a tube -white of course and a silver lid. By Day 4 the cleanser is less tingly ,the serum just disappears into the skin ,the moisturiser feels smooth and easy to use and the peel smells really minty and chills, so skin feels cold and crisp. After moisturising when peel has been used the skin feels really warm. Finally mask time. Big surprise the product inside the tube is a light mauve colour with a light fruity scent. This is easy to apply and does not dry. After 20 minutes you rinse off and even after first use my skin felt really fresh. A pimple which shows day 11 disappeared by day thirteen and I also noticed an on going dry patch which I have had forever on my cheek reducing in density. I am at the two week break and my old products feel thick and heavy and my skin is losing the lovely glow - Starting the second cycle my skin was more sensitive initially to the cleanser and peel. The cleanser is the best I have used. The serum is annoying as I find the dropper useless . The peel makes my skin really clear and fresh. The moisturiser is easy to use and non greasy. Not sure if my wrinkles have reduced but I feel my skin is so much clearer, softer and brighter and dryness reduced considerably and my pores so much finer.

I was very excited when I got selected for the Reversaderm Trial, Cleansers, Peels, Serums...the whole world turned on its axis! So to set the scene, i'm 48, I do have facials (although not as regularly as I probably should but I enjoy how my skin feels when I do). My skin is not sensitive at all really and I can pretty much use anything on it. I'm not generally loyal to any product or brand although an anti ageing moisturiser is MUST for me, and I alternate between high end and budget brands...so let's see how this lot stacks up. After all over $300 is a lot ..unless it's worth it..so let's find out.

So there are 5 products in this system and you need to use them 2 weeks on and two week off for 6 weeks. The instructions were pretty clear - you need to use the cleanser, serum and moisturiser every day alternating the Peel and the Masque every 2nd or 3rd day. Upon opening the products just a comment that all the packaging looks gorgeous all white, glossy and super high end.

We've been asked to talk about each product individually so here we go.

The Cleanser

One of my favourite products out of the 5 and one I will be repurchasing for sure. It comes in a pump bottle, has a light lotion consistency and smells fantastic. I use about 3 pumps but, (uh oh) i'm pretty sure you're only supposed to use one or two. That said has lasted me throughout the 6 weeks of the trial and beyond. I use my cleansers in the shower and no problems with this one here. After using this my skin feels clean and moisturised and not at all tight which is a great sign for a cleanser. I also LOVE the experience of using it, which is really important to me. I love my showers and every product I use within the glass dome needs to enhance that experience.

The Micro-Cellular Age Correcting Peel So this is my FAVOURITE product from the assortment (although it's fair to say we didn't start out as friends)! It comes in a smaller but identical bottle to the cleanser and contains 15% GLM Alpha Hydroxy Acid complex. You smooth it on every 2nd day after your cleanser. You're supposed to leave it on for 25 minutes, then rinse off. Well the first time I used it I nearly hit the roof..my skin felt so stingy I wondered it I could last the distance (to be fair they do warn you about this!) But last it I did and when I washed it off...... Boom-cha-wa-wa!! My skin just felt AMAZING, resurfaced, smooth and fabulous...just ready for the next step which is the..

I was beyond excited to learn I was to be part of this trial. I visit a salon 4 times a year so am familiar with what to expect in terms of results and was going to be impressed if this delivered something similar. The system consists of 5 products to use with clear instructions when to use each product. The packaging is clean and classic, white, grey and silver reminiscent of salon quality products. As with any peel system, there are warnings for the tingling sensation and to stop if it was uncomfortable. The cleanser is a white lotion and has a pleasant smell. I used about 2 ½ pumps every morning and night, left it on for the recommended 2 minutes while I brushed my teeth and then washed off. I did feel a tingle when I used this, nothing awful but a definitely tingle. The serum is a gorgeous pearlescent lotion – you only need a small amount (the size of a pea) and it spreads easily. I’m not a fan of the dropper as I found it difficult to get the serum out when it was getting low. While it felt nice to apply I’m not sure if I noticed any extra benefit from using it, but I’m sure it’s helping somehow. The moisturiser is a creamy yellow, and as with the serum you only need a small amount. 1 press of the dispenser was enough to cover my entire face and neck. Neither the serum nor the moisturiser were overly scented but I prefer my skincare like that. The moisturiser absorbs beautifully and made my skin feel so nice and silky without feeling clogged. The dispenser is genius – you press either side of it and the perfect amount comes out. It means no germs or anything can get into the container. The peel is a clear, menthol scented liquid gel – it’s not a horrible deep heat scent, but a refreshing menthol that feels quite cool when you first apply. I used 2 pumps of the peel and spread across my face using my fingertips. While I did find it a bit of a hassle leaving it on for 20-30 minutes to begin with, I quickly got used to it and fit my routine around it. With the peel I definitely noticed the tingle; during the 5th week I got a bit of irritation on my neck - I think it was a combination of sitting in the crease of my neck with this hot weather so I discontinued using it on my neck and applied to just below my jawline. The mask is a beautiful lavender deep detoxifying and exfoliating mask with gorgeous ingredients such as macadamia oil and French saffron. It does warn you may feel a slight tingle as it exfoliates during the 15-20 minutes, however I didn’t ever get that sensation. I absolutely loved using the mask, again you only need a small amount, and my skin practically glowed after each use. So the results: I have definitely noticed an improvement in my skin. My skin was nowhere near as dull, I still have fine lines but nothing short of a miracle (or Botox) will get rid of those! For the price of the system I would definitely recommend it, in particular the cleanser, peel and mask.

As the 'mother of the bride' later this year I was really excited to be selected for this trial! ~Glycolic Claryifying Cleanser~ The smell of this cleanser is devine! I only needed one pump which was enough for my face and neck. It tingled very briefly when I first used it (as noted on the bottle that it may do) but not again after that. It didn't foam up and didn't leave me with that 'grabbing' feeling some cleansers do. It washed off nice and easily. After using it for the full trial period, it still feels at least half full. Overall, I loved how my skin felt after using this cleanser and was not screaming out to quickly put moisturizer on! And whats more, my skin was really clean. ~Tri-Collagen Accelerating Serum~ I was surprised at the size of this bottle. It is the smallest of all the products at just 30ml. I felt the eye dropper wasn't really long enough to be able to reach all of the serum. I have used at least 2/3 of the bottle. It has a very faint scent which I didn't like. It isn't a liquid and not a cream so somewhere in between. I only needed a small amount to cover both my face and neck. It dried quite quickly once applied. ~Antioxidant Regenerative Cream~ The pump on this container ensured there would be no contamination of the product at any time. When I first used it, I had to pump it a few times before any came out and when it did, it was with a spurt. It took a few days to work out how much to push the pump down so as to avoid getting too much out. After the first few days it wouldn't pump so I took the lid off, tapped it on the bench and it came right. I've probably used 3/4 of the cream. I loved this moisturizer! It spread easily on my skin, didn't leave a greasy feeling and my skin loved it! Like the serum, it has a faint scent but much nicer which disappears once applied. ~Micro-Cellular Age Correcting Peel~ I was a bit nervous about using this as I haven't really used one before. I could just smell the witch hazel but it doesn't linger. The clear liquid spreads very easily and then dries on the skin to be left for 20-30 minutes. I didn't expect to have to wash it off - I thought I would have to 'peel' it off so washing it is much easier! I didn't feel any tingling at any time. ~Enzymatic Detoxifying Mask~ This mask is true to it's word. It's gentle and light-weight. I loved the smell of this product too (similar to the cleanser) and like the peel was easy to wash off after the required time to be left on the skin. Again, I didn't feel any tingling. It's not sticky and dried on my skin. ~~CONCLUSION~~ Love, love, love! My skin feels fantastic and definitely looks clearer. My makeup goes on so much better and looks fresher for longer. The scarring on my forehead has definitely improved as have the fine lines around my lips. The dry patch I had on my cheek has gone. My family can see the difference. I will definitely continue to use it. I have never had results like this before!

I was so excited to be selected for this trial as my wedding day is very quickly approaching and I was very keen to try anything to make my skin as bright and radiant as possible! I don't usually use a lot of products on my skin so I was worried about commiting to a complicated & timely routine, but this system is quick & easy to use. I'm over the moon with my results - My skin tone is more even now, my pigmentation is clearing, my acne scaring has all but gone & my partner comments at how much softer my skin is. I am so excited to be able to put a much more radiant face forward on my wedding day. Cleanser: Large, easy to use pump bottle. A pleasant smelling light lotion-y consistency, I would use a couple of pumps each time to get a generous coverage. Initially my skin really tingled a lot when using this product. I'm not big on cleansers but I really like this product, initially I thought it was expensive for what it was, but after trialling, the bottle goes a long way & the results speak for themselves. Age Correcting Peel: A smaller pump bottle, This time a clear liquid which you use every second day, after cleansing. The first time, I used a heap of this product trying to get a good layer on my skin thinking it was like a traditional dry on your skin & peel off dealy, but nope, next time, just a few pumps like the cleanser, its very light and just dries on your skin and then wash off after 20 mins. Initially it was tingly to the point of almost stingy, but I persisted and the tingling stopped pretty quickly. I liked this peel a lot, although, if I continue using the system I will use this once or twice a week instead of every second day. Serum: Came in a small jar with a dropper, I found the dropper hard to use, it was a bit hit or miss how much you picked up & as the jar got low on serum it got harder to get the product out with the short dropper. The serum is a light milky liquid, which I would only need a small drop of to cover my entire face & neck. Regenerative Cream: Comes in a fancy jar, the lid presses down and dispenses the cream from a small circle in the middle of the lid. I found I had to press very lightly or the cream would splatter everywhere. I would use 1 to 2 pumps every time I used it, I found the cream very light, but when used with the serum offers a whole ton of moisture! Mask: This was a once a week mask, it comes in a tube, the mask inside was a purple colour. I was looking forward to this mask every week, my skin felt so fresh and clean after I used it. the mask just sat on my skin & then after the 20 mins I washed it off. This product range is out of my budget at $370 for the complete system but It is a luxury product range & the beautiful packaging & lotions inside are worth the price. After trialling, I would recommend to anyone who had a special event such as a wedding or even just as a treat. I will be continuing on with my system for my big day in a few months time.

I absolutely could not believe that I was one of the lucky reviewers for this product range! I think I even let out a squeal! step 1 – The Cleanser. I dampened my skin with warm water prior to applying. It’s a really light, creamy product so don’t expect it to foam. To be honest, it felt so light that I didn’t think much of it but I felt results from the very first application, my skin felt smoother.

step 2 – The Peel. This is to be used every second day. I ended up doing a schedule on my phone because I quickly forgot what day I was on. This product contains such delicious active ingredients that you feel the results immediately. I have used salon and at-home peels before and have experienced very strong tingling to very light. I would describe this as a short tingle which soon dissipated and was very comfortable to have on. I let the gel preparation sit on my skin for 25 minutes. step 3 – The Serum. This is probably my favourite step… it feels gorgeous and silky on such fresh skin. The serum looks a pearly cream colour and is quite light to the touch. I love the wee fat bottle, so cute! This absorbs quite rapidly into my dehydrated skin but it leaves it feeling soft and loved.

step 4 – The Regenerative Cream. This moisturizer comes in a very handy pump container so it’s much cleaner and cost effective as you only pump as much as you need. I tend to do not quite a full pump in the morning and then a full one at night. It absorbs nicely into the skin but sometimes after the peel, I still feel would not quite hydrated enough.

step 5 – The Mask. This is such a nice, light purplish mask that feels refreshing and hydrating. I really looked forward to my ‘mask’ nights as it was a good time to sit back and relax. I would also do my teeth whitening as well… bonus! My skin was left feeling hydrated, smoother and clear. It has a cooling effect on the skin and is the only mask that didn’t redden my skin after removal, it actually had the opposite effect! This is to be used once a week. My skin is dry and sensitive, pigmented and dull. I thoroughly loved using the Reversaderm program and recommend it to anyone looking for a quality at-home range. I have been quite neglectful of my skincare lately so I really enjoyed the extra love and commitment I was giving my skin, however in saying that, it was not arduous or lengthy and totally doable in our fast paced lives. If you are a bit forgetful like me then I highly recommend writing up a wee schedule for peel days. My skin is so much more hydrated than before, it has a fresher tone to it. Make up is much easier to apply and I was grateful that I had no break outs during this period. There was no irritation and is a perfect product for reviving your skin before an important event, such as a wedding or in my case, an overseas trip!

Step 1: Clarify Glycolic Clarifying Cleanser This product was used every day, twice a day. Morning and night minus the off weeks. The cleanser is white in colour, floral scented and lightweight. The cleasner isn't thick or runny, a really thin consistencey. I used 2 pumps worth of product to wash my face with, massaging it into my face for 2 minutes but leaving it on my face for a good 6-7 minutes before rinsing it off and towel drying my face. I was super surprised that the cleanser didnt lather, so no bubbles. For the first two weeks I noticed a slight tingle senastion to the skin on my face but on week 5 and 6 I didn't get that sensation at all. My skin was left feeling incredibly clean and soft after use.

Step 2: Resurface Micro-Cellular Age correcting Peel This product was used every 2nd night minus the off weeks. The peel cream is a clear liquid, a little runny. The scent to me is similar to the cleanser but with more of a 'cleanser' smell to it. I used 3 pumps worth of product which was enough to cover my face, just a light film across my face. I generally left it on for 30 minutes, rinsing it off with luke warm water. Let's talk about that stinging sensation lol. It was definetly strong but only for a minute - maybe less before it subsided. I did notice if i had worn makeup that day the sting was a little more intense than when not wearing makeup.

Step 3: Revive Tri-Collagen Accelerating Serum This product was used every day twice a day minus the off weeks. The peel is a beautiful pearlescent white colour, much the same consistency as the cleanser and smells the same as well. I used 2 droplet pumps of the serum for my face, I did find it took a bit to absorb into my skin, but after it was well massaged in my skin felt so soft! I noticed when I was out in the sun for the day using this on my skin, it did sting a little but it didnt happen often.

Step 4: Restore Antioxidant Regenerate Cream This product was used every day, twice a day minus the off weeks. The cream smells amazing! Just like roses and it's just like a body butter. One pump is enough product to use on your face. The packaging is very unique. Round with a clear lid, pop the lid off and push down on the pad for the product to come up through the hole in the pad. It left my skin feeling silky smooth and hydrated.

Following the 2on/2off cycle for 6 weeks I had great results. It says to take 2 weeks off due to 'efficacy of ingredients' but I'm sure it's so you can be reminded how terrible your regular products are compared to these! My skin is norm/dehydrated. Cleanser - It has quite a strong, fresh, citrusy scent. It's creamy white, is non foaming & can be left on for a few mins for extra exfoliating. I used 1 & a bit pumps each time. The 100ml easy to use pump bottle will last a good while - it's at a fair price point. It deeply cleaned without drying, although it did seem to make my hands peel from massaging it in. Serum -I don't like dropper style bottles & mine arrived blocked. I used a pin & unblock where some product had gone gluggy in it. With minimal scent & a white opaque colour, it absorbs quickly & easily into skin without being oily. Benefits of brightened skin, improved radiance and skin tone were definitely met. A key ingredient in this, the cream & mask, is French Saffron to improve radiance & skin tone. Down side is the amount you need to use this product seems very expensive & for this price I'd like better packaging & more product. Cream - is very light. It has a scent similar to the cleanser but not as strong. I love the style of dispenser - you press the top down & a bit of moisturiser pops out. No mess no fuss. This one seems a bit springy, if you press too fast too much product comes out & it flicks everywhere. If a product is cheap I'm not too fussy but if it's expensive I expect even the packaging to be quality. One pump is enough for face & neck. It absorbs very quickly & skin is left soft, tight & bright with no oiliness. After using just the cleanser, serum & moisturiser my skin looked beautiful, I noticed a difference straight away it seemed clear & soft. Peel- I used 4 pumps of the generous sized peel every 2nd day. Its like a clear serum that spread easily over my face. After 30 minutes it has dried but still feels sticky on skin. Easily washed off with water. At first I noticed no burning, tingling or redness. At the start of the 4th week of product use (6th week real time) it tingled for a few of mins but it went away - I wasn't worried about this feeling as it is similar to having a professional peel & makes the product seem closer to salon quality. Mask - used once a week in replacement of the Peel. It's a light, creamy formula with a slight mauve tint to it but appears almost clear when applied and a light scent. First couple of mins the mask started to warm, calming down at 8 mins. It was by no means bad at all - I just feel I should mention it. These left my skin looking younger in every way - plump, pores reduced, smooth, even toned & glowing. I experienced no extra breakouts from the products. My dry 'yoga patch' on my chin is gone. Makeup is a dream to apply. I use much less foundation & get a very soft & smooth result. After just two weeks fine lines were less noticeable - collagen synthesis in action
