Not a fan of this particular product, I must say the packaging is awesome, keeps the wipes moist and easy to pull out. but the product is terrible, my skin is dry and sensitive so I am very weary when it comes to cleansing wipes, this product dryed my skin out aswell as irritating it, did not like

This is the first e.l.f product that I have to say No Thank You to.
My latest beauty obsession is makeup removing cleansing cloths, and I'd previously had an excellent experience with another brand, but as I was doing an iherb order I thought I'd toss a pack of these in and give them a whirl. Thank goodness they're only a few dollars, otherwise I would've been having a 'what a waste of money' moment.
The packaging is simple, a black pouch with white accents. It'd fit nicely into a bag or your car's glove compartment, which is always handy. The cloths come out easily enough and look and feel a lot like babywipes. Now this next bit is where the wheels fell off for me. They stink!! They remind me of the smell of just cleaned public toilets! Sweet, but chemically. And just plain out spew inducing! (I know, that's quite harsh, but it's how I felt). I battled through the stench and wiped my face and yes makeup came off. Then looking at the instructions I noted that it said to rinse your face after using. At that point I thought 'what is the point?'. If I'm that near a basin I may as well just use cleanser! So I got up and did use cleanser, to take the smell away, then threw the pack on the bedside table vowing to never use it again. And I haven't.
Call me fussy, but I like a makeup remover that can be done from the comfort of bed, that does not need rinsing off, and does not stink to high heaven. Yes, it removes makeup, but it doesn't remove hassle. Not. My. Favourite. N.T.Y.
I threw these into my cart when doing an iherb order. I really like the plastic flip top lid on the packaging, no chance of these wipes drying out. The wipes are very moist and non-textured. It removes my face & lip makeup ok but does make a smudgy mess of removing eye makeup. I don’t like how it says on the packaging to rinse my face after using, I didn’t bother anyway and didn’t have any side effects. Even though these are a pretty good price I am not sure I would re-purchase them. Would rather spend a bit more and get a wipe that completely removes all traces of make-up.
Tips: For the price it is worth giving these wipes a go and seeing if they work for you
I have to start with the fact my skin is very reactive. Unfortunately, it was too harsh for my skin. Although the wipes were full of moisture making it easy and effective to remove all makeup.
I use makeup wipes daily to take off as much of my face as possible before cleansing in the shower, so I'm always up for a cheaper option!
My skin is super picky when it comes to makeup wipes, it doesn't agree with many of them, but these wipes didn't irritate my skin at all. I didn't really notice a scent, which could explain the lack of irritation.
The cloths themselves are soft but they're also quite thin so I find they stretch as soon as you start swiping them across your face. I prefer a thick cloth that holds itself together.
My main gripe with these wipes is how intensely saturated they are, it feels like you have dipped your face in cleanser once you've wiped your face off. It really puts me off, which sounds silly as I cleanse my face afterwards anyway, I cannot explain my insanity! So I now only use these to wipe swatches off my hand etc
I felt the wipes were pretty small that I had to use many to get rid of my makeup. It is pretty basic.
I had heard great reviews about these Make-up wipes and grabbed some for $3USD from iherb which was a bargain. The packaging is basic but seals well so the wipes should not dry out. I had heard that these smelt amazing however I assume I purchased the wrong ones (I was after Coconut). They still had a light pleasant smell however. The actual wipe is really thin which seems to stretch more as you are cleaning your face, I find this makes it a little more difficult to remove your make-up and you have to keep folding it to get a worthwhile effect. They are slightly moist and remove makeup including eye makeup quite well, although I do not use waterproof. I still find I have to wash my face after (I normally like to anyway) The formulation is not too greasy and leaves your skin feeling soft. Overall I think this is a great budget option for makeup removal on the go... or just people like me who like to watch TV, youTube or anything else while removing makeup.
Tips: I sometimes top up the wipe with make-up remover to get the really stubborn makeup off prior to washing.
These wipes do a good job of shifting makeup at the end of the day for lazy people like me who cant really be arsed cleansing properly. They didn't seem to do any better or worse a job than any other cleansing wipe I have used (although I don't tend to purchase any high end or expensive ones). The price is really solid- it can be hard to find wipes under $10 from supermarkets so even with the conversion $3US is a great price. There are cons to this product however- firstly, the wipes are super thin, and small, so realistically I think (as with most elf products) you are paying less, but you are also getting less for your money. Secondly, these smell terrible, very chemically, and they kind of give the impression that you are using the cleansing cloths you clean the interior of your car with. So offensive was the smell, that I expected my face to be burning afterwards from all the chemicals. Smell aside though, would probably purchase again as an add on to an iherb order.
On a recent iherb order these are another thing that just magically flew into my online cart. At $3 it wasn't particularly harmful to my Credit Card balance. Plus you can always do with a back up of makeup removing wipes. I try not to use makeup removing wipes too often as I know the ingredients can be harsh on your skin, but sometimes it just happens.
For $3 the packaging of this is super good. It is pretty simple, but really how much can you do with makeup removing wipes. It is all black. I like that the lid is hard plastic so you know it will stay completely closed no matter how many times you use it. Underneath that is a soft plastic lid like the usual wipes packaging. I usually keep my wipes stored upside down so I love the double lid keeps the liquid in with no worries.
The scent of these is pretty non-offensive. Just kind of clean smelling, sorry for my crap description. The 7inch square size is pretty good size for cleaning my whole face. This does get most of my makeup off. Although they say that they get the waterproof mascara off, which it doesn't get every scrap off without some serious scrubbing (which I don't want to do around my eyes). This didn't irritate my skin at all which is great, it also didn't strip my skin which I really appreciate.
Impressed for the price! I think another packet of this will magically fly into my cart again next time I make an order on iherb.
Bought this off the elf site because they were so so cheap! liked the packaging because it is resealable and there's a little plastic rim in the pack that stops it from being bent in a handbag or suitcase. However, they are awful at actually removing makeup and you end up with smudged, half-removed makeup everywhere. I also had a severe reaction to these and ended up with a rash all over my face... my flatmate also used them and had really really dry and itchy skin.. not happy with these at all.
Tips: don't buy these. ever.
