Another amazing Skin by ecostore product. I hadn't tried this before I received it to review but wow love it and will now continue with my night routine using this replenishing night cream. It goes on so smooth and feels lightweight on my skin has a gentle smell to it and absorbs into my skin and makes it feel super soft, as it is packed with NZ seaweed, grapeseed & harakeke extracts. Great sized 50ml glass jar in white with a green lid, that when purchased comes in a box, feels and looks expensive but with a RRP of only $19.99 at all good supermarkets. Will definitely be buying this product again and recommending to all.

First thing I noticed was the great pot it comes in, thick glass with screw on lid. I am not sure why but I do feel product stays fresher in glass packaging. Recommended for all skin types. 50ml is not too much or too little and would expect to last well.
Packaging indicates recyclable, product is cruelty friendly and 6 month shelf life after opening = ticks from me on these. The 50ml just right for night cream.
The texture is a nice balance of very thick and light; it has a silky texture to it (which absorbs very easily).
I would recommend this night cream being ideal for the hotter months due to the texture. I don’t use the thick heavy night creams during summer so this one is perfect for this time of the year. As a user of serum this cream fits in nicely to my night time regime.
Grapeseed extract & Harakeke keeps it nicely balanced, not too much. It seems they didn’t try too hard with this product, not including many ingredients in, little can be more they say.
I do have to mention the fragrance & colour. It’s light beige in colour which I find a bit uck and the fragrance is unique, but not over the top so I am ok using it daily (the day cream in this range also has the same fragrance however it seems stronger compared to this night cream).
Really like it’s a NZ brand made in NZ. As a supermarket brand it stands out as a great buy. Great showcase to send overseas but the glass pottle makes it heavy for parcels.
Using for a short time (only a number of weeks) I am happy to report that the texture of my skin when waking is smooth and subtle, I haven’t lost any moisture.
Happy to keep using and would for sure consider repurchasing. A winner & keeping an eye out again for sure.
Tips: Use a spatula seeing its a pottle.
Ecostore are a brand that I had heard of in relation to eco-conscious household cleaning products, but I was not aware that they made skincare products too.
This night cream comes in a dark green and white cardboard box, with the image of orange sunlight filtered through green water on one side. The cream comes in a 50ml white glass container with a dark green plastic lid.
The cream is labelled as a “replenishing night cream” for “all skin types”. It contains avocado oil, shea butter, seaweed, grapeseed and harakeke extracts. The cream itself is beige, and it has a slightly earthy, but not unpleasant, scent. My skin is dry, and although this cream is not designed specifically for dry skin, it feels rich when I apply it, and my skin feels moisturised. The texture feels a little like clay, so it does have a slightly dry feel to the cream, in the sense that it feels almost like a moisturising clay mask. I think this cream would work especially well for combination and oily skin.
Altogether, I am enjoying this cream and I will continue to use it after the trial.
Unfortunately, I used this night cream for only a few nights as it was a bit too moisturizing for my skin. I was super excited to have a try alongside the cleanser and moisturiser. Again, I love the simplistic design! The cream felt lovely as I apply it to my face, however, it too left me feeling like I had a film over my face. As mentioned above, my skin disn't tolerate such intense moisturizer and I could feel the tell tale signs of breaking out within a vouple of applications. I was fortunate enough to try all 3 products and the common thread that I have is the smell.... it was not horrid but definitely not enjoyable. I would not use this again as it did not suit my skin. I imagine someone that requires extreme moisture would love it...once they got used to the smell.
I was sold on this product from the moment I opened it! Classy and dignified in a beautiful glass container, it feels weighty and like something you want to look after and treasure...a little bit luxurious without being too flashy.
This cream is suitably heavier than a day moisturiser but not greasy. It takes a bit more working in than your everyday moisturiser but that's ok because it feels like something you should take your time with and appreciate.
Its packed with skin soothing and hydrating oils like Avocado Oil and Shea Butter, Olive, Jojoba and Black Current to deliver hydration while you sleep.
The fragrance is botanical and herby with a little bit of ocean thrown in for good measure. Its smells like you are putting something good for your skin on your face.
I love the pricepoint, I think its a great $20 spend. Affordable to replace when its time for a new one. Easy to buy and find at your local supermarket or online.
I am already looking forward to trying anything I havent already tried from this amazing Kiwi Company. Support local - buy New Zealand made, low tox and cruelty free.
Tips: Apply after cleansing before bed and enjoy the experience of beautifully hydrated skin. Your face will love you for it.
Like the moisturiser, this has an overpowering smell, and again I felt greasy after using it. I actually felt like i needed to wash it off. I really like the idea of the Ecostore products, the natural ingredients etc.. but I do think they have a little way to go yet :)
I loved using this night cream. It certainly is hydrating, leaving my skin feeling plump and full of moisture. The consistency was lovely. An easily spreadable light cream that gave a nourishing feel without a greasy after feel. Waking up in the morning I noticed my skin was smoother and more radiant and the pleasant scent made it beautiful to use. I would highly recommend this for anybody that has a normal to dry skin. I noticed a significant difference after just using it for one day!
My skin was a blank canvas for testing this out. I had a reaction to something I previously used so hadn’t been using anything for a few weeks. It was needing some hydration and this delivered.
The packaging is very me - the whole range is nice on display and the lids differ with their greens so you can tell the difference. This is in a pottle and a good size at 50ml so will last a while as I haven’t really made a dent in the pottle for the duration of the trial.
The cream isn’t too thick or thin. It’s probably a little thinner than the goodness night cream to give you an idea. It is more effective than the goodness cream though. It is readily absorbed so work quickly.. I dot it in a few places over my skin and then rub it in from there. It is a nice cream to use as it’s not too thick or thin and it’s not greasy.
It’s a beige cream with a similar scent to the rest of the range.. calendula maybe?? Some sort of floral. I am not fussed on scent but if it works on my sensitive skin I will take it.
It’s a nice cream to use. I am up feeding my son in the night and touch my face and it’s soft and smooth and feels plump. It’s definitely kept my skin feeling hydrated. For a more natural product it’s quite unbelievable to be honest. I’ve never used a natural face cream that’s worked before so to wake up hours later and still be feeling the effects has been amazing.
Used in conjunction with some of the other products in this range it’s worked and been gentle enough to use on my sensitive skin. So definitely suits being mixed or matched with other products of the same or different brand. It’s light enough that it hasn’t caused me to feel product build up or that it’s clogged up my skin.
I had very low expectations as I’ve used a few natural face products before and not had great results.. but I have been so impressed. I really struggle to find products that are better for me that I can use without having a reaction to.. that also work.
I found this night cream to be really thick. It felt quite heavy on the skin but once absorbed felt ok. It did leave my skin feeling nice once it had been rubbed in. My skin was not dry while using this cream but I did find it really heavy to apply. The packaging was nice and simple. The smell was strong but seemed to fade with wear.
I have sensitive skin but found this product great. The Replenishing night cream comes in a 5050ml pot. The cream itself is an burnt orange colour and is of thick constancy. The fragrance is similar to that of the Clenser and the Hydrating Moisturiser. I used this at night and applied just before bed so it could work it's magic while I slept. I found the fragrance quite relaxing and not too strong. Upon checking my skin each morning after it felt soft and looked clean and fresh. I will use this again
