So this doesn't smell great and the first time I applied it I wondered what all the fuss was about. And then I woke up the next morning with silky smooth skin and I understood! I often use this as a night 'mask' when my face is a little dry. I also apply it to my feet when they need a little TLC. If you can stomach the smell (while it's not amazing, there are worse smells!), you'll see great results. If you're looking for something for your chapped lips, I've used the lip balm version of this as well and that smells terrific.

Tips: Apply sparingly.
I have been using this products for years now but mainly for travelling especially for long haul flights when your skin gets dry. The only reason I don't use it everyday is it's a bit greasy for me. But the product is great, very similar to Lucas Paw Paw and I use it for dry skin, chapped lips and for swelling.
I was so super excited to nab this back in the very first vault because it is such an iconic product (perhaps the most iconic ever?) and it's a must have for so many people. I've been using it ever since for well over a year ago now and I'm only just getting around to reviewing it because, to be completely honest, I still can't make hide nor hair of it.
There's no doubt it's an intense moisturiser, it's thick and greasy and seems to do an apt job on my dry bits...up to a point. I have several problem areas that flare up on occasion and it didn't help at all for them.
I think this product's greatest virtue is in it's multitasker status. I wouldn't go quite as far as saying it's a Jack of All Trades Master of None but it's certainly not Master of All. I'm not the biggest fan of multitaskers. Something suitable for my cracked heels (if I had them) is clearly not going to be suitable for my lips and vice versa, or general wisdom would have it. This product claims to do it all but I was let down.
One of my biggest gripes is the smell. It's distinctive and unpleasant. I also dislike the thick greasy texture. I prefer products to be scented where appropriate and have a texture suited to the area they are being applied.
I've taken to using up the bottle as a foot cream although for the price, actually for much less, I can get a dedicated foot cream that works much better and smells delish.
I love this product and i've only recently become a convert. I wondered what all the raving about how great it was in the magazines was about until I tried it on my hideously dry and cracked heels . Overnight (hence I guess the 8 hour bit) they were transformed! I think this product is an awesome spot treatment product for lips, hands, feet but not an overall face moisturiser as such.
Tips: Lather it on your feet before you go to bed and put a pair of socks on...honestly you'll have soft spa perfect feet in the morning.
Having only heard about the cream and not actually seen it I really wasn't sure how to use it at first... the instructions suggested to smooth eyebrows and apply to hands. I tried my eyebrows, but to be honest just made them feel greasy and look shiny against my makeup so didn't do that again. Used it on my hands and it was quite nice... again, my hands ended up quite greasy so not ideal if you need to do things but just before bed would be perfect. I did also try it on my dry and cracked heels before bed and it was fantastic... I have been applying it every night in combination with pumice in the shower and it is working a treat!
Tips: Don't use too much... less is more!
I first used this product when it was first launched. I found the new product not as thick as the last one.
I found this no good anymore on my dry lips as I did the last time I used it.
Was great however on dry hands as a mask at night. I did notice a difference after only a few days.
Difficult to review this product as it really is a repair cream and treats things like chapping, peeling or flaking due to minor burns, sunburn, windburn etc - none of which I had. I did apply to my hands and used as a lip balm and whilst my first reaction was that it was very greasy, if you used sparingly it was just lovely on these areas. I spoke to several of my friends who use it regularly and have done for some time and they rave about it. My husband had a rash on his legs probably caused by things he had come in contact with at work - this cream really calmed things down for him
Tips: You don't need to use much to get a nice result.
I used it as the instructions suggested for smoothing down eyebrows, but it was a bit too greasy for my liking. Works fantastic as a lip balm, especially overnight. Also used straight onto a small burn I had & it took away the redness overnight. I will definitely be keeping a tube in my handbag as it's such a versatile product!
Tips: Use on small problem areas before bed as it is difficult to apply to larger areas due to its consistency.
I quite liked this product! It is of a gel-like consistency and has a somewhat moderate but not over-powering smell of roses which some may like, some won't. I didn't really mind it, the product (regardless of the smell) made up for it :) It is multipurpose, extremely useful. On the pricey side though. For a cheaper alternative, try Vaseline or Lucas Papaw. I literally swear by it :-)
Tips: Rub a little over your eyes then wipe off to get rid of makeup!
For the price, this is a good buy. Lasts for years & can be used for just about anything! Have since bought it as a gift for my mother - great for dry skin, lips & scrapes.
