This product is an extreme exfoliater & skin smoother, it resurfaces skin by removing a thin layer of old skin when used correctly. I used this on my face and also on a few stretch marks on my hips, it left my face very smooth, kept it clear & bright and i'm not really sure whether it did anything to smooth stretch marks ot not.. Although i think it is helpful to do this treatment prior to applying oils/serums in allowing them to penetrate deeper into the pores/ absorb into the skin more sufficiently.
I scoop a small amount of product from the jar with my finger tip and massage the product with water for about 5 minutes, dabbing with a bit more water when it becomes dry or more product if needed. After 5 minutes massaging allow the product to dry up rubbing vigorously and a thin layer of skin will peel off, after peeling rinse off and apply oils/ creams/ moisturizer.
(This cream is laden with tiny crystals that essentially scratch at the surface of the skin to remove old/dead layers almost like a sandpaper affect but it is not painful at all.)
Although i like this product the first thing that comes to mind when i think of it is ridiculously over-priced. It got way too expensive to be repuchasing every 3-4 weeks it would run out, i've since found a much more affordable alternative.
This product is made up of pure, natural ingredients, and users boast of experiencing smooth, clear skin, with added benefits of visible scar reduction and pore size reduction. Of course I had to try it after reading all the testimonials! I purchased this hoping to also experience these magical benefits but I was a little disappointed. I definately liked the smell and the texture of the tiny crystals, and my skin felt exfoliated and clean after using. However there were no visible changes in my skin after using the full tub, plus the step 2 cream. I also used it on stretch marks, to no avail. The products are quite pricey, so its not really suitable for those on a budget. I would purchase it again if it was a bit cheaper, and I would recommend others giving it a go to see if it personally works for them.
