I love natural products, as they usually seem to work with my sensitive skin, and am always on the hunt for more, so this product was right up my alley. It is packaged in a cute white and pink tube which is pretty easy to open/close and easy to control the amount of product that comes out. The smell is a natural sort of herby and fresh kind of smell which I didn’t find too unpleasant. I found I didn’t need too much product to cover my whole face. The cleanser applies really smoothly, however doesn’t really foam up or anything but I didn’t mind that. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry, tight or stripped of nutrients, which I really liked. It was nice and gentle- my skin had absolutely no reactions whatsoever which was great! My skin felt clean, smooth and fresh after using this. I did find that my skin has become clearer and less red after using this for four weeks. I don’t have particularly oily skin (mine is more dry), however at times it can get oily in the T-zone, which I had noticed kind of went away with using this cleanser. I have also had less breakouts since using this, I still got a few odd pimples here and there, but it was mostly controlled. For $15 it’s a pretty good cleanser and does it’s job well!

Tips: A little goes a long way!
I like the Essano brand so do make a point to try out a lot of their products as they are easily accessible for repurchase at supermarkets, use natural ingredients and don't test on animals. I picked this one up online in a sale.
Squeezey tube type packaging that is white with rose pink that matches the rest of the Clear Complexion range. The first thing I noticed was the scent. It is herbal and unique, not offensive per se but I don't particularly like it.
I have oily skin so did notice that it balances my skin without leaving it dry which is a bonus as some products can leave my skin feeling like the sahara desert.
I like it enough that I will finish using it and may repurchase on sale but it is not something that I would actively seek out.
This is really good at helping with my oily skin and cleaning extra makeup off but I did breakout a little and end up having a weird skin tone after using it regularly which I can't tell if it's the cleanser or I'm just sensitive to face washes in general. Not unlike the rest of the range the smell isn't fantastic. The cleanser definitely made my skin feel really clean and smooth after which is a bonus, it was also excellent for removing makeup as I already mentioned . I guess this wasn't all that different from a lot of other cleansers that are already out there on the market in a similar price bracket. Although I really liked the oil control it gave me, this was fairly well the only distinguishing feature.
I enjoyed this cleanser, it was defintely one of my favourites from the Essano collection. My face didn't feel dry after using it which was a nice change from other acne washes I've used. Its smell was similar to some of the others so plesant enough but I wouldn't say the I loved it. I like the natural ingredients that they have used in it but it may not have been as effective as other acne clearing face washes. I have enjoyed using it but I don't think I'd buy it again.
This comes in conveniently sized tub. It is a clear consistency, and has a herbal smell. It doesn't foam very well, and doesn't seem to remove makeup very well. I found that it helped to remove surface oil and did an okay job at cleaning.
It's a good cleanser but by no means amazing. I would use again, but wouldn't rush to repurchase
This cleanser has a serum like consistency and doesn't really foam up like most do. So when I tried to use this alongside my electric face brush it clung rather than foamed to get an even cleanse. However if you use it by itself on a damp face it does work nicely being a gentle cleanser. Good to remove makeup and other surface things that are leftover from makeup wipes. However it does not provide a deep cleanse.
One thing I found with this entire range is that a little goes a really long way, especially for this cleanser! Most of the range had a strange scent but I found the cleanser was almost scent free and quite enjoyable to use. It didn’t feel too tight or like it stripped my face, though I will say my tip of my nose is a bit dry( this happens with all cleaners and skincare ranges though). I feels like it cleans your skin gently, but enough so your not left with makeup on your face. While I have stopped using the rest of the range because of the smell I’ve kept using this because I really enjoy ir
Tips: Put a small amount in your hands and rub together with water before applying to face. Also works really nicely with a Clarisonic
From all the Essano Clear Complexion products I was perhaps least impressed by this cleanser. Now, this product was not awful as I did feel it cleansed my skin but not as well as the product I was using previously. The gel consistency of the cleanser was definitely something new to me and I can't say I was big fan. As a gel the cleanser did not tend to lather and this combined with its clear colour meant it was sometimes hard to tell where it had been applied (thus harder to wash off!) Otherwise I did find the product easy to use - only a small amount was needed to wash and cleanse the face.
Tips: Apply to a clear face (e.g no makeup) so that it works best
This is a really nice gentle cleanser that I would recommend to anyone with oily skin.
The cleanser comes in a standard squeeze tube that matches the rest of the line.
This is a gel cleanser that is really gentle on the skin. Sometimes even gel cleansers are a little harsh on my skin, causing it to feel tight and overproduce oil. This cleanser was great. It does foam a little bit,but not too much and very gently cleans the skin without stripping all the oils away.
This cleanser did help control my oil, but I found that it was a little to gentle to really get into my pores and remove all the dirt and gunk. It did remove my makeup, but not my waterproof mascara.
I did like how gentle this cleanser was, it did help prevent further breakouts and made my skin look nice, I just wish it did a little more. I would use this product again
Tips: As this is a gentle cleanser, I recommend incorporating a defoliator into your regime, and removing your make up with make up remover before use.
Meh, I'm a little on the fence with this one. On its own i probably wouldn't be madly in love with it, but together with the other products from this range I kind of like it?
This comes in a simple plastic tube that allows easy control of how much you squeeze out each time. You only need about a pea sized amount or maybe a tiny bit more if you prefer a full lather on your face.
It has a thick gel texture, and doesn't foam much when I rub it between my hands. But it does feel very 'cleansing' when I rub it on my face, like I'm really removing all the surface dirt and oil. It leaves my face feeling clean and fresh, but a tiny bit dry. Don't think it really meets the claim of replenishing moisture, since I can feel my face NEEDING some moisturiser straight after using this cleanser.
It does have a bit of an umpleasant scent to it. I'm going to assume it's the natural smell of the ingredients, because noone would want to add a fragrance that smells like chemical cleaning products. It's not too bad when you smell it from the tube, but when slathering it all over your face it can be a bit strong.
Overall I think $15 for a cleanser isn't ridiculous... providing it's a really good cleanser that you love. I'm not loving this one as much as some of my other cleansers, so I don't think I'll be repurchasing this.
