essano Hydrating Rosehip Gel Foaming Cleanser

I have fairly sensitive skin and have used rosehip oil in the past with success but found it very expensive. This foaming facila cleanser is awesome. Don't need much to get a good clean and it never leaves my skin feeling tight or dry. I love the scent, its sort of sweet but not overpowering, and its really reasonably priced.

This is in a great bottle I love the pump action to squirt things out it just takes the guessing out off how much I have to use and a pump pack does keep thing nice and sanitary and easy to use. I do love the natural aspect no harsh chemicals and nice and natural. The first thing that got to me about this was the fragrance it's smells like a bitter artificial floral scent thank goodness the scent washes away I really don't like the fragrance at all. The cleanser is a clear grey colour, I found the texture to be more like a creamy gel rather than other cleansing washes I have used. I squirted some on my hands and rubbed them together and it didn't foam, so put some on my face brush and did circular motions and it went a tiny wee milky colour but it didn't foam either I then did quite a few squirts but just used way too much and it still didn't foam it just felt slimy . So in the end one pump was more than enough to do my face and neck. After a good rinse I could tell my face was clean, it felt a little stripped but not tight and dry or itchy and as soon as I continued with my skincare routine that feeling vanished straight away. This did remove the day's worth off sunblock and BB cream. So yes this is a gentle cleanser that doesn't make my skin feel dry after I have used it and it feels clean, not more nourished. I don't know if would I repurchase as if I use foaming I like it to foam and the scent I just don't like it.

I tried this cleanser as part of a trial pack from the supermarket. The pack was reasonably priced and the sizes were perfect for my gym bag. I was impressed with this cleanser. Because I have combination sensitive skin rosehip oil is a wonder product for me, as it heals the dry sensitive skin. However, I also get excess oil around my nose and chin, so I don't like using cleansers that are too creamy. As such. this lathering cleansing gel with rosehip oil is kind on my skin but gets the job done. This product was as effective or more effective than many more expensive brands I have tried. Trilogy, the other brand known for its use of rosehip oil, is much too rich for my skin and makes me break out. If you, like me, love rosehip oil but find Trilogy too heavy for your skin, give this one a go.

I use this product everyday, I love the packaging - it's clean, modern, uncluttered and speaks to the designer in me. I love the scent, it's not fruity or synthetic like some products, it smells fresh and natural. I also love the way it feels on my skin, silky smooth but still cleansing.

In my routine I use the Essano Facial Scrub first to remove stubborn daily grime and then follow that up with a couple of pumps of this product to calm my skin and ensure all the scrub is gone.

I don't really know why, but I wasn't expecting much from this product. I received it in a gift set of 5 decent trial sizes, which I purchased for a week long trip to Australia. The smaller size came inn a small soft pink coloured screw top tube, but the full sized product comes in a larger brown bottle with a label inn the same pink, and a pump-action dispenser.

The clear, softly scented gel doesn't lather a lot - a good sign as this always indicates to me that there isn't a high soap content. It smoothes onto skin and clears away makeup, grime and daily normalities like oil.

The rosehip and aloe are super soothing and non-drying, and skin is left clean, soft, and feeling healthy. This cleanser rinses cleanly away, without residue or any form of tingling or stinging sensation -and no dry skin! It seemed to balance out my oily, acne prone skin well.

I'm panning cleansers at the moment but this will be the one I purchase when mine are used up. Natural, effective and cheap - what's not to love?

This is another product that I picked up at the supermarket in the Essano Treat You Skin Pack Rosehip. It was only $17.50 on special which was a crazy good price. I was actually after a new night cream but love trying new things anyway. I didn't actually need a new cleanser at all, I already have three in my shower! I really like this wee pack though and was pleased to be able to try some of the goodies from Essano in these deluxe sample sizes so that I knew whether my skin agreed with it before jumping into the full sized products (although they are very reasonable). Just for your information my skin is dry, but also sometimes sensitive with a few blemishes.

The first product I tried was the Gentle Foaming Facial Cleanser. I usually stay away from foaming things as they can strip my skin of moisture but I love trying out new things. Also this says that it will replenish your skin's natural moisture barrier. The cleanser looks like a thicker clear gel when you take it out of the tube, it didn't look as I expect foaming cleansers to look. I did as directed and wet my hands and foamed this up in my hands before massaging into my skin. The scent of this isn't offensive, just smells like natural skincare to me. It doesn't foam that much which to me is a plus. After washing off with warm water I was pleasantly surprised to find my makeup had all come off, including my mascara. My skin did feel a bit dry but nothing compared to other foaming cleansers that I have used. With one in the past my skin actually felt sore it was so dry. What I really like is that my skin still felt squeaky clean.

I did really like this product and the full size comes with a pump which I like. I have quite a few cleansers on the go at the moment but this will be on the repurchase list for sure.

I use most of the products in this range, and love them all. BUT, out of all that I've tried this is probably my least favourite because the smell could be better (even though it's not overpowering, it's just not... amazing.) Having previously used non-foaming cleansers I thought this would take me some time to get used to, but no, I enjoyed using this. The pump applicator is really handy. I find that it removes makeup and grime quite easily with no need for 2nd applications. It leaves no residue and my skin feels calm and not dry after using it. Once again, this product contains natural ingredients and no parabens or other nasties. I'll keep using it for sure.

This is a great gentle cleanser. it foams up but not too much, just enough to feel like its actually doing something. The smell is pretty strong-its not horrible and does not linger after its washed off. If you accidentally get it on your lips and taste it...the taste lasts a LONG time before it goes away...but essentially that doesn't effect the overall result. I found my skin improved with using this day and night..it was not too harsh to use twice a day

UPDATE: My previous review is below. I tried this product again. I still had the bottle in the cupboard and I was too lazy to buy facewash so I thought I would give it a shot again. This time I trialed it without the moisturizer. I even used the whole bottle. Would I buy it again? No I found that it was lovely on my skin, smelt nice and didn't cause a reaction or massive pimples like last time, but it also didn't clear my acne up either. Was my skin any better from using it? Nothing noticeable to me. Would I recommend it? If you have sensitive skin and are after a facewash, and don't have acne, sure. It's lovely, feels and smells nice and lasted me a month but personally I wouldn't use it.

Original review: I've been keen for ages to try Rosehip products so I thought I would give this a go. I have sensitive, hormonal acne prone skin and struggle to find facewash that clears my skin without overdrying it and irritating it. Now normally i will try products for a month before I write them off. I cant say the same for this product. I gave up after a week. My skin had been doing resembly well with my previous facewash. Clear, redness fading, no deep spots. A week after using this product i had the worst acne break out i have had in months. Painful deep spots and heaps of them. I personally dont think my skin agrees with this product, although it may be the moisturer, also from Essano Rosehip. It was basically eating it and resulting in spots. Im really disappointed cause this is a lovely product. Its made in NZ, chemical free, smells like lollies and can be purchased from the supermarket. I will say to other people try it cause its nice but i cant say i will be using it again.

I love this cleanser and for the price hell yeah its so gentle and for me it gets inside my pores and really lifts the dirt that the scrub missed and always leaves my face feeling refreshed and clean it does not irritate my skin as others do and its so easy to get.
