This is a lovely gel cleanser that slathers on to your face smoothly. It washes off leaving my skin feeling cleansed and refreshed. The scent is also very nice and the pump-out bottle is handy in the shower! The only thing is that is doesn't foam, so I'm not sure why it's called that

I have been using the Cetaphil Cleanser for about two years now and absolutely loved it. However, around a month ago I can across the Essano Gentle Foaming Cleanser and I haven't looked back! I love how it's an organic natural brand that is accessible in supermarkets and not a bad price. The smell of the product isn't the nicest as it's natural but it is bearable and you get used to it. There is a pump so you can chose the amount that you use and it comes out in a thick gel consistency (like aloe vera gel) then you lather it up on your hands and apply to your face. It feels very soothing and refreshing on the skin and a little bit goes a long way. It leaves my skin feeling very clean and soft. It is hydrating however I do recommend following up with a moisturizer to lock in and add extra moisture.
This cleanser foams well and smells delicious, but it just doesn't do much for my skin. I find foamin cleasers dry out my skin more, so I'm a bit quatious when using this. It's not bad or great, if you're an avid fan of rosehip you may buy it just because of it's use as an ingredient.
I love the organic natural brand that keeps my face so clean and feeling refreshed, pair this with their night creme and you'll be set to go. Reasonable price and easy to purchase!
Tips: Moisturize after for dryer skins. Don't if you have oily skin.
i bought this as i had run out of my more expensive cleanser and couldn't afford to repurchase there and then. This cleanser broke me out quite a lot and just generally didn't work with my skin. Although after using my skin felt soft and clean, it just didn't agree and i gave me angry sore breakouts. i did love the smell though
Tips: you dont need much product, its quite thick and goes quite far
I saw this at my local supermarket and thought I would give it a go! It was pretty cheap from memory and the packaging is very chic. Once i had finally figured out how to open it (for some reason my pump was a bit faulty) i applied at the end of the day by pumping a small amount onto my hand and frothing it up in my hands and then onto my face. I removed it with a warm, damp facecloth. It smells really good and not too strong. It removed my makeup but it didn't leave my skin feeling as fresh or revitalised as I had hoped. After a month of using it seems to have improved my skin acne wise but my pores are rough and dry. i think it might be a bit drying for my skin. Good for the price but most likely will not repurchase.
This has to be one of the best new products I have tried in the last year. It makes my skin feel fresh and soft. I have used a few more expensive cleansers and this really is up to par with those in terms of quality. I love how gentle it is. I have made the switch to Essano :)
Tips: You don't need a lot, just a small pump.
I bought the Essano Rosehip "Treat Your Skin" pack that contained sample sizes of Essano Rosehip Gentle Foaming Cleanser, Moisturiser, Body Lotion, Night Creme and Rosehip Oil and after trying these sample sizes out, I purchased a full sized bottle of the Essano Rosehip Gentle Foaming Cleanser, as I felt the sample size didn't allow me to test it out sufficiently.
The full sized Essano Rosehip Gentle Foaming Cleanser comes in a 140ml brown plastic bottle with a dispenser pump. It's rich in certified organic Rosehip Oil, is soap-free, vegan and made in New Zealand.
The instructions on the bottle said to pump the cleanser onto wet palms and create a foam before gently massaging it onto the face. Well, I pumped the cleanser into my wet palms and attempted to create a foamy lather but this just didn't happen. I tried some more and only got a slightly bubblier version of what originally came out of the bottle. This must be where the words "gently foaming" comes in.
I thought that 'gently foaming' meant that it was a gentle cleanser that foamed, not a cleanser that created a gentle (barely there) foam. I was disappointed! I like my cleansers to foam and lather nicely, I don't like having to spread cleanser gel all over my face and then try to smear it around to get rid of my make-up.
It didn't matter how much (or how little) water I added to this product, it just wouldn't foam. I don't know if I ended up with a defective batch of cleanser but I definitely won't be recommending or repurchasing it again.
I also found that when I got near the bottom of the bottle and there was still about 2cm of cleanser left, the pump stopped working. I had to unscrew the pump and shake the cleanser out into the palm of my hand to use it.
Tips: After cleansing, use Essano Rosehip Oil, Moisturiser or Night Creme. I have oily skin and found that I did need to moisturise after using this cleanser as it left my skin feeling a little 'tight' and dry.
This is going to be one of those reviews where I struggle to find the positives, I'm afraid. I know this product has received plenty of good reviews so far, but for me I personally hated almost everything about this cleanser! Although it comes in cute packaging with a helpful pump, the product itself smells very strongly and unpleasantly, and is a gel cleanser, not a foaming cleanser. When I purchase a foaming cleanser I expect the product to come out of the bottle, well, foamy. This one is a thick gel which you're supposed to work into a foam yourself - the best I could get was a slightly more lathered gel. It feels slimy on my skin, and I didn't feel at all refreshed or cleansed after using.
Before I finish though, I WOULD like to say that I DO respect the Essano brand immensely. In a beauty market dominated by chemical-based brands which are massively detached from nature and have no problem with testing on animals, it is SO great to see brands like Essano emerging. Although I didn't like this particular product, I think what they stand for is fantastic, and many of their other products are fab.
I really looked forward to buying the essay reshape range as many have raved about it and I thought it would be gentle and hydrating. But was very disappointed, this cleanser made my skin feel dry, tight and also caused me to breakout. My skin type is normal to dry. Would not repurchase
