I started with the trial pack and then bought the full size as I liked it. It is a vegan cleanser with some organic ingredients and states it on the bottle. It is meant for all skin types, meaning you don’t have to figure out your skin type. The trial size is now done in a small tube, it used to be a small pump bottle, both options are good for travelling with. The full size is a brown tinted plastic bottle with a dark pink rose coloured label in it.
It is a clear gel and goes on easy. The gel is not runny, it is thicker than a lotion and can hold its shape in your hand. When I first started using it the smell did get to me a little and I didn’t like it. Now I’m not so fussed over the smell but not completely in love with it either.
Depending on what you are using with this depends on the amount of foam. I take 2 pumps from the small trial size bottle or about ½ a pump from the big bottle. By itself with water, it foams well. I have been using a Konjak sponge while it foams it does not foam as much, similar on the occasions where I use a flannel or face cloth. When cleansing it does not feel tight on my skin, this is including when I had mild sunburn on my face. If I haven’t bothered to take off my make up; bb cream, lipstick/gloss remains, powder and bronzer, the cleanser also takes it off. I haven’t tried it on my waterproof mascara yet.
At present this will be my main go to cleanser as it is gentle on my skin and works well with my normal combination type. And I am planning on rebuying once I have run out as it is reasonably priced. It pops up on special about every 2 months or so at Countdown.
I love the Rosehip by Essano range and this cleanser is fab. However, two problems I have with it are it smells quite strongly, I don't know if there is a lot of alcohol in it, but that's what it smells like. Second, it doesn't lather up very well. Having said that, I love it and have ben using it for about 5 months now.
