I got this, like many of you, in the travel size pack about 2 months ago. Overall I really love it. My skin is slightly oily and this has been good for that, I have had far less breakouts since using the range. I usually remove make up with a wipe first, then wash my face with this, followed by the night cream and so far so good! Will be buying it in the full size :)

I liked the fact that this cleanser was more natural and didn't contain nasty chemicals but I'm not a huge fan of foaming cleansers. I much prefer cream cleansers and felt like I needed quite a bit of cleanser to actually clean my face. It has a light fragrance, which is pleasant but it left my face feeling a little dry. I really like some of the other Essano products but probably wouldn't use this one again.
I was reading into rose hip oils and how great it is for your skin. I have combination skin with a couple pimple prone areas around my t-zone. I found my skin to be more balanced and to have improved incredibly by using this cleanser.
I found this cleanser to be gentle and quite hydrating. Did not dry out the skin like other cleansers do. The great this is natural as it does not contain any sulfurs or parabens. Great and gentle on the skin, yet I find removes my makeup well.
The gel formula means it wont foam up too much, so dont expect it to be all bubbly on your face. The only downside is that as it comes in a pump bottle and the formula is quite thick, you cant get most of the product left in the bottom of the bottle. I wish it came in a squeeze tube.
I got this in the Essano trial size pack, but this is probably my least favourite of the products from that.
I love the packaging; both the colour scheme and the practicality of the pump bottle, and I really like the smell, which is a slightly sugary rose scent in my opinion, but very mild and not irritating.
However, I just don’t love much else about this cleanser. Because it doesn’t foam up a lot (it’s almost in between cream/foaming), I have to use quite a bit (at least four pumps with the mini bottle) to actually have enough for my entire face. That means I go through a lot of product each time I use it.
The main reason I won’t be repurchasing this is that, like every other foaming cleanser I’ve tried, it leaves my skin feeling a bit tight and dry. It’s nowhere near as bad as some other brands I have tried, but given that it claims to replenish the skin’s natural moisture barrier and be non-drying, it is disappointing. That being said, my skin just doesn’t seem to agree with any type of foaming cleanser, so it may not have this effect for everyone.
This isn’t the worst cleanser I’ve used, but it’s still not for me. If you’re wanting to try it out I’d definitely recommend buying the pack of mini size products so that you can try out some of the rest of the range also – the night cream and rosehip oil are particularly amazing!
I found the cleanser to quite easy to apply, though it didn't foam as much like other cleansers. My skin didn't feel dry after using it, however I am combination skin so I am not sure how this would fair with people who have very oily skin. Sadly the smell just wasn't pleasant for me, the other Essano the cream and oil etc smell really good its just this cleanser smells quite metallically..
I recieved this product as part of a competition prize pack along with the Essano facial moisturiser, night cream & body lotion.
This cleanser is a clear gel that lathers into a smooth foam and has a sweet floral scent. It leaves my face feeling thoroughly clean & slightly taut but it doesn't do much for the texture, I don't notice my skin feeling any softer or smoother after washing with this. I get a little dryness after washing with this cleanser, just across the nose and around the corners of my mouth. Dry patches are rarely a problem for me nor is oiliness my skin is pretty much bang on 'normal' so I would say this cleanser is slightly drying, perhaps a good thing if you're prone to oily skin? However i've been using the Essano facial moisturiser after washing with this cleanser and it instantly relieves those little dry spots. This cleanser isn't great for removing makeup either.
Overall I find this cleanser to be fairly average, it does the job and it's lovely to use but I guess I expected more.
Tips: I think this cleanser would probably best be suited to oily skin types, definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone who has problems with dryness.
I bought this about a month ago and have been using regularly since then and I love this facewash!
It's gentle, doesn't dry my skin out, and it has a lovely scent. I think the bottle design is good too - I enjoy having a pump style lid (although not good for taking away on trips). If you are wearing makeup you'd need to remove that separately as this doesn't seem to work very well as a remover.
Definitely recommend this over some other supermarket brand facewashes. I'm excited to try some of their other products.
Tips: Don't get it in your mouth! It tastes awful.
I have combo/oily skin, and found this cleanser seriously dried my skin out. I don't find many cleansers do, but this did, it felt like I had washed my face with some harsh soap. The smell also wasn't very pleasant, yet not rank as anything either. The pump was a very effective way of delivering enough product. An average product.
I love this cleanser, the gel texture turns into a lovely soft foam as you are using it and it doesn't foam too much, which I really like. It has a beautiful rose fragrance that I love, I'm so surprised to read other people don't like the fragrance! The pump bottle is great and so easy to use, no fiddling with lids in the shower. I only need one pump and that does my face and neck so it's economical as it lasts. I use this cleanser morning and night and it makes my combination skin clean and soft and looking amazing! Also it has the added bonus of having natural ingredients without all the nasty chemicals and it's not tested on animals.
Tips: Use in conjunction with the Essano Certified Organic Rosehip oil and the Essano Regenerating Facial moisturiser.
Like many others here I bought the pack of miniatures to try out this range of products. I was keen because this cleanser is free of parabens and claims to be made in NZ from organic ingredients. I was impressed enough after using up the sample to buy a full size product and have been using it for about three months now. On the plus side, this is an inexpensive, easily bought product, just pop it in with the weekly shop. It is in a handy pump package which dispenses just the right amount for cleansing the face and neck. I have found it to be lightly fragranced and easy to use. It makes a nice foam which spreads well. It rinses off easily and skin feels nice and clean after use. On the other hand I am finding that my skin feels a bit dry and tight after using this cleanser and I am in a hurry to put on my serum and moisturiser. Eye make up is not totally removed by this product either, but it is a bit much to expect from any cleanser! Previously I had been using a trilogy cream cleanser and changed mostly because of the fabulous expense - I will be going back to that product, but will continue to buy this for my teenaged daughters who are finding this cleanser great for their oilier skin.
