I was lucky enough to get to trial this although I had previously reviewed it quite a few years ago so I was interested to see whether the formula had changed at all. This comes in a brown frosted plastic bottle with a pump. It also comes with a little plastic clip attached so you don’t accidentally pump it whilst travelling.
You only need a small amount, not even a full pump, to cleanse your entire face. The clear gel only foams up a little and it feels very soft on your face. It washes off easily and leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. I do get a slight tightness but not as much as I would normally do with a foam cleanser. I've only used it once to remove makeup. Whilst it did this adequately, I found I had to rub my eyes quite a bit to get mascara off and I was only wearing light makeup. As I have very sensitive eyes, I didn’t use it to remove makeup again, so I think it would be best for a morning or second cleanse. It does have quite a strong floral fragrance, which I don't find unpleasant but it does have a bit of a detergent undertone.
I personally wouldn't purchase this as I prefer a non-foaming cleanser- Essano’s cream cleanser in the same range is great! But if you are a foaming cleanser fan, this a great budget friendly option.
This appears to be a gentle cleanser but for some reason I find it really bad for my dry eczema prone skin. Even though it is gentle I find it dries out my skin which causes me to have eczema flare ups.
This cleanser has a clear slimy gel type texture with a soft rosy scent. I find after using this cleanser my face feels like I have used soap on it making my skin feel dry and tight. I'm surprised I have such a bad reaction to this cleanser as it does come across quite natural and mild. I have used every product in this range and have the same problem - no matter what the product is my skin breaks out in eczema. I either put this down to my skin not loving the rose hip oil they use or I'm just allergic to this particular brand.
