essano Hydrating Rosehip Gel Foaming Cleanser

I have very dehydrated skin at the moment and I bought this product in hope that it would hydrate my skin and provide my skin with extra moisture and nourishment . I have trialled this cleanser for about a month and it has done nothing for my skin , after cleansing my skin feels tight and stripped of any moisture it had, my skin also broke out a lot whilst using this product which was really strange. I tried to give this cleanser time to see if it would do what it says but I've ended up pushing it to the back of my cupboard and never using it .

Unfortunately this product has not worked as I hoped, I received this as a gift for Mothers Day along with a few other products from this Essano Rosehip range.

Packaging is very attractive, large bottle with a pump (YAY!) you can choose your desired amount which is fantastic.

I use this in the shower after I have removed my make up, to wash and cleanse while my face is wet. The consistency of this is a thick gel, which feels nice to apply, working my fingers around my face in circular motions it foams up slightly.

Like the other Essano products it has the similar smell sweet yet floral like roses, however I found this particular product's scent to be rather strong, almost overpowering, and not a natural scent like I would have hoped for a natural based cleanser.

What I found unusual after using it, my skin felt like my skin oils were stripped from my face, leaving my skin feeling dry and tight. That uncomfortable feeling. Possibly that is due to trialling it in winter, I have popped it away for now and will bring it back out in summer and see if that makes a difference.

This cleanser really didn't work for me. I found that after a week of using it I started getting more breakouts, when I hoped the gentle and natrual formula would help control them. However, this is actually due to the fact that my skin reacts badly to rosehip. Essano Gentle Foaming Cleanser is rich in rosehip which boasts to even-out skin and leave it soft and hydrated. I actually found this cleanser to be a little bit drying and it left my skin feeling tight after use. As everyone's skin is different and I have discovered that mine does not react well to rosehip oil, I wouldn't steer anyone away from using it.

I bought this product thinking it be great but my skin had other ideas , it smells divine and easy to use. Unfortunately my skin did not like it and it seemed to have reacted with a few red patches . I use rosehip oil so I was surprised. It has worked for many others but me. My skin is sensitive, dry and oily forehead. Still love the rosehip range such as the lotions .

This cute little pink and brown bottle certainly caught my eyes while i was browsing for my next-to-try facial cleanser. The size looked small.. which didn’t look cheap for the price it had.. but actually.. a little does go a long way...

It’s a thick, clear gel-based cleanser which lathers up gently on the face. You can smell the scent of rosehip as soon as you put it on... which was quite calm and refreshing for the mornings.

My face didn’t dry out completely and still felt soft after using it.. but i think it was too strong for my hands.. as my hands felt it was stripped clean after using it.. and it did look a bit dry afterwards... which is one thing that tends to stop me from repurchasing products. ‭ It was a nice strong pump, but took me a while to adjust to as i’m not use to using thick gel cleansers... But the pump bottle is pretty cute to have in your bathroom.. so it would make a nice cute gift.

I wonder if this facewash will work better on those with more oily skin? As it didn’t really help when you had dry patches on the face, especially on the nose.

I bought this cleanser because I wanted something gentle that was easy to use. I personally didn't like the fragarence of it, I found it didn't have the nice natural scents I gravitate towards, it smelt very artificial. It wasn't very foamy but it did feel gentle and didn't irritate my skin. I have liked most other essano products I've tried but I gave this away because it just didn't leave my face feeling nourished after being cleansed.

I love Essano products but this was a huge miss for me. I have the exfoliating cleanser and love that so I figured this would be the same. When I read the bottle saying “foaming” cleanser I thought it foamed as you pumped it. This didn’t. It was a thick gluggy gel that at times felt too thick for the pump. I clean my face twice when I use it and I’m determined to use the whole bottle but I feel it strips me of my oils in my face without actually cleaning my skin. I use it once a week.

It smells delicious but it's drying on my skin, VERY DRYING. My skin is tight after use and I really need something more nourishing and cream based. I have older dry skin.

...so I had to try this cleanser. It comes with a pump and comes out in a gel form which turns into a creamy-foam with water like most cleansers do, just a bit creamier. It smells amazing, but I can't really describe the scent.

I need at least 2-3 pumps to cleanse my face and I use it twice as I don't feel it would do a very good job of removing my make-up.

It smells delicious though and I really like its consistency and how it doesn't dry out my skin. It's nothing special for me though, so once I used it up I won't be repurchasing this.
