This is in a great bottle I love the pump action to squirt things out it just takes the guessing out off how much I have to use and a pump pack does keep thing nice and sanitary and easy to use. I do love the natural aspect no harsh chemicals and nice and natural. The first thing that got to me about this was the fragrance it's smells like a bitter artificial floral scent thank goodness the scent washes away I really don't like the fragrance at all. The cleanser is a clear grey colour, I found the texture to be more like a creamy gel rather than other cleansing washes I have used. I squirted some on my hands and rubbed them together and it didn't foam, so put some on my face brush and did circular motions and it went a tiny wee milky colour but it didn't foam either I then did quite a few squirts but just used way too much and it still didn't foam it just felt slimy . So in the end one pump was more than enough to do my face and neck. After a good rinse I could tell my face was clean, it felt a little stripped but not tight and dry or itchy and as soon as I continued with my skincare routine that feeling vanished straight away. This did remove the day's worth off sunblock and BB cream. So yes this is a gentle cleanser that doesn't make my skin feel dry after I have used it and it feels clean, not more nourished. I don't know if would I repurchase as if I use foaming I like it to foam and the scent I just don't like it.

Tips: Try before you buy
i bought this as i had run out of my more expensive cleanser and couldn't afford to repurchase there and then. This cleanser broke me out quite a lot and just generally didn't work with my skin. Although after using my skin felt soft and clean, it just didn't agree and i gave me angry sore breakouts. i did love the smell though
Tips: you dont need much product, its quite thick and goes quite far
This cleanser was just okay. I found it really dried my skin out and I tend to have quite normal skin. I didn't really see any changes in my skin so I wasn't wowed. I much prefer the Clinique cleansers
I was lucky enough to be included in the trial tream for the Essano Foaming Facial Cleanser, I’m a huge fan of all the Essano products and my shower and dressing table are full of their body washes, shampoos and skin care products.
The packaging as always is gorgeous in the rose pink colour. The pump dispenser works well and you really only need one pump to cleanse. Unlike some other cleansers this one does actually clean off all eye make-up, including mascara, so reducing the need to use another product.
My main complaint, and for me it’s a big one, is the scent...... it’s way too strong, enough that every time I used it I felt it was just ‘too much’
It worked well but to be honest I think I’ll stick with Essano’s Creme Cleaser, it works just as well, asnd has a far more subtle scent to it.
I liked how this made my skin feel. It lathered really smoothly and easily. Washing it off was a dream too. It did seem to make my skin oils build up way faster after using it which was wreaking havoc. I ended up changing facewash to a different brand.
Tips: I use this one now for cleaning my makeup brushes, sponges etc.
I haven't always been in love with cleansing.. There was one product that totally opened my eyes and changed my mind.. Since then however with pretty high expectations I have had an open mind at trying other cleansers..
I got a couple of these in a Sample bar box so have given them a fair good trial.
Easy to use pump. Ideal for keeping in the shower - not like lids with a flick open.. You know the kind that soak up shower water and go all gunky.. EW..
Nice formula that lathers easily. Feels good on the skin and does a pretty good job and all round cleansing, make up removal etc..
What I don't like is how 'squeaky' almost over cleaned/stripped my skin feels after using it. Being it is a product that is meant to have wondrous Rosehip Oil in it.. I certainly wasn't expecting that sort of result.
My skin might feel clean.. But it feels like its too tight and like its been stripped of the good stuff.. So in saying that I don't use it often! Its more a part time relationship rather than full time!
I purchased this as part of the Essano Rosehip Kit after hearing so many ladies rave about the range on here and reading about the benefits of rosehip oil.
I have oily, acne-prone skin so normally I tend to go for cleansers which specifically target these concerns, but I have previously used a more gentle cleanser and it worked really well with my skin so I wanted to give this a go.
I really liked the pump bottle it came in, it's my preferred style of packaging when it comes to cleansers as I find it allows you to disperse just the right amount of product without wastage.
Like the other products in the Essano Rosehip range, this has a lovely light rose fragrance, which is feminine but not overpowering, especially as I dislike a strong fragrance in skincare. The formula is a clear, gel-like liquid which is quite thin in consistency, similar to a lotion. I used a few pumps of this applied directly to my wet face, using either my hands or my exfoliating brush to cleanse my face.
I found that despite being a 'foaming' cleanser this didn't really seem to foam much for me at all, even with a few pumps. I also didn't feel like it really provided a thorough cleanse so preferred to use it at the end of the day after using a makeup remover and with the exfoliating brush to really give a proper cleanse.
This is a very gentle product and I liked that after using it my skin did feel clean and soft. I probably wouldn't purchase it myself again though as I felt it didn't really provide the clean my troubled skin really needs by itself and I would prefer something with a bit more punch to meet my skincare needs.
Tips: The Essano Rosehip Kit is a great way to trial this product to see if it's for you, and the trial-size bottles are great for keeping and taking away with you as you can refill them from a full-size.
I decided to try a new range and thought the Essano sounded like it would be just the kind of cleanser I needed. I wanted something natural, and I've heard such incredible things about Rosehip. The pump bottle is fantastic for dispensing, however it can be a bit of a nuisance when you get to the end of the bottle and want to get the last of the product out. I liked how gentle the cleanser was on my skin, and it didn't leave my skin feeling dry and tight like some others can. The downside though was it didn't remove all my makeup, I found I needed to cleanse a couple of times on the full-face makeup days. And I'm not sure 'foaming' should be in the product description - I didn't ever really get a foam from it at all.
Overall a fairly nice product, but pretty middle of the range in my opinion
Tips: If you're wearing makeup, wash your face twice to ensure you've removed it all.
I got a trial pack of the Essano range and being a huge fan of rosehip oil and some of the other Essano products I was really hoping this cleanser would be great. Unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations. I found that the cleanser didn't remove my makeup. I have to cleanse a number of time or use another makeup removing product. The cleanser has a nice sweet but subtle scent. It claims to be a foaming cleanser but it didn't seem to foam up for me. It did leave my skin feeling nice and soft (after numerous washes to gt makeup off). I would only recommend it to some one who doesn't wear makeup.
I got this in the Essano trial size pack, but this is probably my least favourite of the products from that.
I love the packaging; both the colour scheme and the practicality of the pump bottle, and I really like the smell, which is a slightly sugary rose scent in my opinion, but very mild and not irritating.
However, I just don’t love much else about this cleanser. Because it doesn’t foam up a lot (it’s almost in between cream/foaming), I have to use quite a bit (at least four pumps with the mini bottle) to actually have enough for my entire face. That means I go through a lot of product each time I use it.
The main reason I won’t be repurchasing this is that, like every other foaming cleanser I’ve tried, it leaves my skin feeling a bit tight and dry. It’s nowhere near as bad as some other brands I have tried, but given that it claims to replenish the skin’s natural moisture barrier and be non-drying, it is disappointing. That being said, my skin just doesn’t seem to agree with any type of foaming cleanser, so it may not have this effect for everyone.
This isn’t the worst cleanser I’ve used, but it’s still not for me. If you’re wanting to try it out I’d definitely recommend buying the pack of mini size products so that you can try out some of the rest of the range also – the night cream and rosehip oil are particularly amazing!
