Essano Micellar Water

I have used other Miceller waters and enjoyed them. I have found them quite effective and have had no issues with stinging or drying.

Essano Micellar Water is as good as others I have used. It is so easy to use, I just use cotton wipes, it is that easy. Pour some Micellar water onto your cotton square and wipe away the days make up. I did not use this for my eye make up as I prefer another product for that.

I do go over my face with my Konjac sponge for that extra clean feeling. This is just a personal preference and not entirely necessary, I just love my sponge!

I found that this product is good value for money. 400 mls for around $13.00.

I love Essano!

So I finally decided to give Micellar water a try after hearing a lot about it. I decided to try the one made by my favourite New Zealnd brand, Essano.

I love Essano's skincare products because they feel very rich on my dry skin, and they do not irritate my skin either. I think it is the magic ingredient of rosehip oil that does the trick.

Although this is the only Micellar water I have tried, it seems to work very well. I use a cotton pad to apply the water to my face to remove my makeup. It feels like slightly sticky water going on, but there is no strong scent and it does not irritate my eyes. My makeup comes off really well. I find it works better than makeup remover, and it is gentler and less astringent. Some makeup removers have made my eyes sting in the past.

I have used it everyday since I first bought it two weeks ago. There is still a long way to go in the bottle before it is all used up too!

Tips: I have found that I did not end up replacing my cleanser with this. I still use a moisturizing cleanser after removing my makeup with Micellar water as I like the clean, soft feeling it gives better than the slightly sticky feeling of the water. But I definitely recommend this as a makeup remover for sensitive skin.

Bit soapy but otherwise ok

This micellar water definitely does the same job as the Garnier micellar water which I usually use and has the same makeup removing and cleansing effect, it's very refreshing and hydrating. The only downside to this product is that I find if I use too much or am too vigorous with the cleansing it starts to get a bit soapy/foamy so I feel like I need to wash my face afterwards which defeats the purpose of a rinse free cleanser. Other than that, this does work to cleanse and leave skin hydrated and fresh.

Tips: Don't work it around too much or it foams up slightly

Does the job

I am currently using this product. I usually use garnier micellar water but bought this since I was buying their exfoliator. It does what it is supposed to, makes my skin feel cleaner and fresher but I don't like the smell it leaves on my skin. Other than the smell it is a good buy.

Another Micellar!

I am obsessed with micellar waters and am buying a new brand each time I run out to give them all a go! The Essano one is incredibly good value, its 400ml and you can usually pick it up for less than $10 on special. The packaging is easy to use, the lid can be flicked open and closed easy so no spilling. I did find this formula felt less "pure" than the others I tried, it felt a bit soapy rather than the usual water like feeling I am used to, however it does the job just as well and my skin has remained clear the whole time ive been using it!

Tips: As per my last micellar reviews, I use with cotton pads after cleansing to remove excess makeup, and sometimes just on clean skin to refresh my face!

Best Micellar Water I have tried.

This is my favourite of three different brands of Micellar Water that I have tried. It is gentle, smells amazing and does everything it says it does. It is also cheap! Fantastic product!

Great product.

Although others have mentioned sensitive eyes after using this product, I did not have any issues. The Micellar water worked wonders on my eye makeup taking it all off with ease. Happy I found this product to add to my nightly ritual :)

Great product - with a stingy downside!

Ugh I wanted to like this product SO badly! I have enjoyed the Essano range so far, and I LOVE micellar water, but this product just did not want to work for me. Although it was great at removing makeup (simply apply to a cotton pad and wipe), it left my eyes tight, stinging, red and puffy! NOT cute at all. Tried to make this work several times but have now given up and are back to my fave Lush Ultrabland Cleanser again.

However, this product is good for removing makeup like foundation and blusher, etc. Just keep away from the eyes!

wanted to love this but couldn't!

I wanted to love this so much, I am trying to buy all cruelty free make-up so this was my answer rather than the garnier micellar.

however, it burnt my skin and caused my eyes to burn and red patches on my cheeks, I was not happy!

the scent is neutral and expected for this type of product

I also had to scrub at my eyes to remove mascara and gel eyeliner.

the bottle and packaging is lovely, I just wish this product lived up to expectations like their other products

Tips: do a test patch, I used a cotton pad with this but this product wasn't right for me!

HUGE bottle- very economical!

I am a huge fan of Simple Micellar water, but when I saw this in my local supermarket at a lower price and a bigger bottle then any other brand my thrifty side said buy it!

This is a scent free Micellar which does a good job at removing stubborn eye makeup. I find that it does as good a job at removing my makeup as the Simple Micellar. However, I find that this is not as gentle on the eyes. I also find that this can leave you feeling like you have a bit of a film on your skin; not a huge deal as you should always wash your skin properly with cleanser after removing your makeup.

Overall I find this to be a great affordable Micellar, but is not quite as gentle on your skin and eyes as I would prefer. I would repurchase if Simple's Micellar was not on the shelf at my supermarket.
