I loved this when I first used it. It removed all my make up easily, it was a bit soapy but only if I rubbed to hard. It also has a really nice smell. Unfortunately that's where the good points end for me. It stung my eyes and after using for a few days my face was covered in bumps, not like acne more like an allergic reaction, they disappeared within a few days of stopping using the product. I will continue using it to clean brushes tho as it works really well for that

I love the essano micellar water. At first it stung my face slightly and made it a bit red. But I continued to use it and after a couple of uses that went away. It's slightly more soapy than other micellar waters I've tried, but it does an amazing job at removing makeup!! I like using it on a cotton pad to remove my makeup, and it's much more gentle on my skin than facial wipes as I don't need to rub very hard.
I'm known by my friends to love micellar water - I'm literally obsessed. So, of course when I saw this product on sale in Countdown months ago, I had to purchase it (even though I already had like 2 at home, lol)! Anyway, I love how this has both aloe and rosehip oil in the formula because of their beneficial properties for the skin.
However the hugest negative about this product is the fact that it goes sudsy like crazy. It's fine when you're just gently wiping across your face, but as soon as you start applying a bit of pressure in rubbing anywhere - BAM! Here come the suds! If it weren't for the soapiness and the stinging when it comes even close to your eyes, I might even choose this above Garnier's. Sadly, this is not case.
Overall, I do like this product, and it does a great job in cleansing. But the negatives are quite inconvenient at the best of times, and deeply aggravating at the worst. I will not be re-purchasing anytime soon unless Essano ends up fixing the formula so it's not so sudsy.
Definitely not as harsh as other micellar waters I have tried, does the job without making my skin red raw. It's inexpensive and has skin loving ingredients, a winner in my books!
I purchased this product after my Garnier Micellar Water ran out. I wasn't unhappy with the last brand I tried, but I felt as though maybe this brand might be better for my slightly sensitive skin.
The packaging is standard for micellar water, with a clear bottle and label on the front and back with a flip open lid. For the price I feel as though you get a good amount of water, and it lasted me quite a few months.
I use it mostly for removing my eye makeup, and then use a little for the first step in my face washing routine. I follow it up with a cleanser and toner as I have found in the past it doesn't help control breakouts, but does help to remove the bulk of my makeup. I pour some of the water onto a cotton pad and wipe away my mascara and eyeshadow. I feel as though it does a good job on removing my eye makeup and gets the majority of it off my face.
Im not overwhelmed by it, but I think it suits me more than the other micellar water I have tried - as I feel like it is more gentle for my skin.
This product does do what it says it will.
I use this as 'toner' after I wash my face to take the remainder of my days make up off. It works really well for that...however it did sting my eye area and you'd think that because of the rosehip oil in it, that your skin would feel a little more hydrated or softer but unfortunately that is not the case.
Definitely lasts a while, the bottle says over 200 uses and that is definitely right. I have used this for almost a year and I use this everyday.
Now I'm just trying to finish the bottle so I can justify trying another brand.
This was my first micellar water I'd ever bought and I was excited about it after seeing the micellar hype on BR. As a bonus, it was by an NZ brand and included yummy skin-loving ingredients like rosehip oil.
In terms of cleansing, this product does the job. The bottle says it does something like 200 washes. I'm dubious about this as I always needed several cotton pads with product to get all my makeup off - and I was only wearing BB cream.
Further, the formula was not right for my sensitive combination skin. As I continued to use it my skin became sensitised and finally broke out in dry patches.
I was going to give my sister the half empty bottle but after reading other reviews I'll keep it for washing my makeup brushes.
First of all I absolutely LOVE the packaging! And the size (400ml) is an absolute bargain. I bought this on special from either the warehouse or countdown (easy to find in NZ) - I believe there's a smaller version available too if you wanted some for travel. The big size meant this lasted me a good few months.
I found this had an ever so subtle scent, fresh and youthful, nothing overpowering at all. I found it was easy to use, a few drops onto a round cotton pad which soaked it enough to remove my makeup. Was also a good cleanser to use in the morning if I was in a rush and didnt have time to use something fancy - it did the job.
The micellar water is a little bit "soapy" which I had no issues with, I found this was more of a hydrating factor for me. It felt fresh on my skin as well as gentle and soothing. It never felt harsh at all and I never experienced the sting some micellar waters or wipes cause.
Overall I loved this and will definitely repurchase!
This product comes in a generously sized bottle for a very modest price. Its smell is mild but pleasant. It's easy to dispense onto a cotton pad, and sooo easy to use. Simply put onto a cotton pad, wipe face with it. repeat. voila Removes my makeup, mascara, the lot. And unlike 95% of other cleansers it doesn't hurt my sensitive skin.. Basically at the moment this is all i can use so it definitely fulfills my needs as an all rounder. And for convienience A+++ Thanks Essano
Tips: Use a cotton pad rather than a cotton ball to ensure minimal product wastage
After using the Garnier Micellar Water, I was curious to see how this compared. This is the same size and the same price, so I wanted to see if the addition of rosehip oil made any difference. The micellar water comes in a simple clear bottle with a black lid, with pretty gold writing. I noticed that this had more of a soapy look to it, but it definitely made this more effective. I found this removed my make-up with ease and left my skin feeling clean. I found it actually removed my tough eye make-up quicker than other micellar waters have. Unlike other reviewers, I didn't find this to sting my eye area, but everyone is different. I found this to be gentle, and I liked the addition of rosehip as I felt I was doing something good for my skin by using this. This didn't irritate my skin at all, and I've had clearer skin since switching to this micellar water. Overall, I think this is a great micellar water and it perfectly fulfils its purpose.
