I was excited to try this oil control oil free moisturizer as I’m starting to find my skin just getting a bit oiler especially around the t zone. Using this cream I found my skin seemed quite dry, initially I thought right it’s going to balance it out but it didn’t it just felt dry all day like it was lacking moisture which maybe it was keeping the oil away but after two to three days of feeling like that I was a bit hesitant it feels better now so maybe it is a case of resetting your skin?? It’s definately a nice lightweight cream and has no scent so it would be good for those who want something quite simple and affordable. The jury is still out for me.

Tips: Works well with the cleanser and toner.
First impressions of the packaging was it was cute and typical of essano branding. It is clear what it's for and what it does and that it is a 3pc bundle system.
The smell of the moisturiser is only slightly rose scented, so has almost no smell to it which I like. I used the moisturiser both morning and night but needed 3 pumps to get enough product to nicely cover face and neck/chest. It is white in color and is a medium thickness cream that is easy to spread onto the skin and soaks in quite quickly. It left my skin feeling fresh and silky smooth.
I also noticed a very big difference in the oil my T zone had after a week of using this system and a possible reduction in pore size so it definitely seems to do what in claims to do.
I would definitely recommend this moisturiser and the system to anyone that experiences excess oil to give it a go, its well priced and easy to get in the supermarket with your groceries so give it a whirl!
Tips: 3 pumps for decent coverage
This is a lovely little moisturiser, and a little goes a long way. It’s as described, non-greasy (which I love) and weightless. I love the way it feels on my skin. Does it significantly reduce the oiliness of my everyday skin? Sadly no, I barely saw any difference within an hour of application (and after using the cleanser and toner). Will I use it again? Yes, it is a great feeling moisturiser for my oily skin and it doesn’t make the oiliness worse! Also it’s easily available at the supermarket and affordable.
Tips: A little goes a long way
I reviewed the essano Oil Control Oil-Free Moisturiser along with the essano Oil Control Deep Pore Cleanser and the essano Oil Control Balancing Toner. The moisturiser has a pleasant smell, and a little bit goes a long way. It did make my skin feel very dry though - and not at all moisturised.
It is hard to judge how the toner worked in isolation, but as a package the products made my skin quite dry initially but didn't really work to reduce overall oiliness and I still had a few breakouts. I did read somewhere though that it can take over a month to "train" your skin to be less oily with these products - so I will give it more time.
Tips: Let the toner dry fully before applying the moisturiser
I love that this moisturiser doesn't feel greasy AT ALL. A lot of "oil free" moisturisers still leave a film on my skin afterwards. This one actually doesn't! That said, my skin doesn't feel incredibly hydrated. Like it isn't dry at all, but it almost feels like I haven't put moisturiser on haha.
The scent is mild. Smells ever so slightly like the cleanser (which lowkey smells like window cleaner..) but is definitely tolerable and the scent doesn't linger at all
But I enjoy that it is lightweight, leaves no greasy film and has a mild scent. Still recommend checking it out next time you're at the supermarket. Especially if you have super oily skin.
Tips: Probably would avoid this if you have quite dry skin, I don't think it would give you the hydration you need. But oily skins will love it
Really enjoy using this moisturiser. It goes on so light snd isn't thick and grungy. The scent is pleasant and not over powering at all. My skin feels great and I can definitely see less shine and less oil. Not 100% gone but a lot better. I think this is a great middle of the road product.
I have tried this moisturiser for 2 weeks now and I just loved it, my face is less oily than ever! It is lightweight, non greasy and ultra gentle.
I love this moisturiser! My skin feels instantly hydrated and soft, it doesn’t feel like it sits on my skin but actually sinks in. It has a beautiful matte finish without any shine, my skin tone is much nicer and balanced, redness on my cheeks has disappeared and a little goes a long way. I would definitely use it again. It smells lovely and sits well under makeup too.
Tips: Use as the final step after the Essano Oil Control Deep Pore Cleanser and Oil Control Balancing Toner. A beautiful 3 step regime leaving you with soft, shine free, clean skin.
I got this in the vault after reading a lot of good reviews here. I have combination skin, which gets oilier in summer, and that combined with wearing a mask at work has lead to me breaking a lot more than I have in years. This moisturiser, along with several other products (some of which I will review also), has helped improve my skin a lot, and it's now much better.
It feels lightweight, but still hydrating. I think this is intended to be a daytime moisturiser, but I use it night. I find I don't need a moisuriser in the morning, because I use a couple of serums, and a hydrating sunscreen. So it would probably be too much to use a moisturiser as well, although this could change as the weather cools down.
Also, one of the serums I use is in the morning has 10% niacinamide, and my foundation also contains niacinamide (although probably a very small amount). So I don't want to overdo it with the niacinamide in case it causes irritation.
I trialed the Oil Control oil-free moisturiser from Essano. The moisturiser comes in a plastic bottle with a pump. I used three pumps each time I used it - morning and night. The moisturiser is exactly as described; it's nice and light and definitely non-greasy. I really liked this moisturiser as it hydrated my skin but didn't feel like it was clogging my pores or making my skin greasy and shiny. I found it easy to apply make up over this moisturiser. I would use this one again, it's a great everyday moisturiser. I'd love a version of this with a sunscreen added!
