essano Oil Control Oil-Free Moisturiser

As I have oily skin I tend to stay away from moisturiser but for this trial I gave it a shot and I was amazed.

First of all, I love the packaging - it's nice to look at and the pump worked well.

As for the moisturiser, it didn't make my skin didn't feel more oily - in fact it felt really great, and I will definitely continue to use it and will repurchase in the future.

I got this in the vault after reading a lot of good reviews here. I have combination skin, which gets oilier in summer, and that combined with wearing a mask at work has lead to me breaking a lot more than I have in years. This moisturiser, along with several other products (some of which I will review also), has helped improve my skin a lot, and it's now much better.

It feels lightweight, but still hydrating. I think this is intended to be a daytime moisturiser, but I use it night. I find I don't need a moisuriser in the morning, because I use a couple of serums, and a hydrating sunscreen. So it would probably be too much to use a moisturiser as well, although this could change as the weather cools down.

Also, one of the serums I use is in the morning has 10% niacinamide, and my foundation also contains niacinamide (although probably a very small amount). So I don't want to overdo it with the niacinamide in case it causes irritation.

I have very oily sensitive skin and this moisturizer helps to keep my oil away, I haven't had any reactions due to my skin being sensitive it's amazing stuff.

This moisturiser is so good for oily skin. It’s the right thickness in my face and I definitely notice a difference in my skin as I’ve been using it for a few months now. By far one of the best oil free moisturisers. I recommend to anyone who struggles with oily skin to start using this product

I found this moisturiser really enjoyable to use. It really does what it says. Feels very hydrating on the skin, its very light weight - I wouldn't say it feels like a gel lotion as such but just a thinner more light weight moisturiser, it's not thick and doesn't feel heavy. Relaxing and refreshing to use, I have been using this after cleansing and toning without fail and I am really liking it. I will be rebuying, it is super affordable and a really great product at that. My face is feeling smoother (I am using the whole regime also). Personally I am still getting my standard oily T zone, slightly better but not miraculously better it is definitely still happening - I have been using it a week so fingers crossed it will continue to improve, but an otherwise great product and would recommend.

While I will probably go back to using my Drunk Elephant or Glamglow moisturisers, I was very impressed with this Essano moisturiser as more of a drug-store, affordable range skin care product. It was soothing and pleasant and didn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. Great for morning and night use and I could definitely feel that my skin had soaked it up overnight. The scent was light and pleasant and the packaging made it nice and easy to use. Would definitely recommend it as an affordable moisturiser option

First off I love this pump bottle! I am so over moisturisers coming in pottles or tubes. Give me a hygienic, easy to dispense pump bottle anyday!

This is very light and a slightly weird texture compared to your usual lotion, but it is lovely to use and does absorb quickly with no residue.

It is immediately effective at mattifying skin, although that mattification (not a word!) didn't quite last all day for me. But it got me through the work day so that's the main thing.

I find it very hydrating and smoothing and it definitely doesn't clog pores - my t-zone is pretty much blackhead/clogged pore-free after 2 weeks of use.

The only reason this isn't a 5 star product for me is that it doesn't mattify all day, but other than that, I really enjoy it and would recommend!!

I enjoyed using this product - nice easy pump system. Needed a few pumps to get enough to moisturiser to cover face. Consistency of the moisturiser was nice and smooth. Left my skin feeling nice and smooth after use. Will use again.
