Love

This is amazing, my skin has been so soft and clear all week, as soon as it washes off you can you feel the effect of softness its really is great and I can't wait to use it again, (weekly application) and even though it's a small packet size you don't need much to completely cover your face . Love it

Tips: I put it on in the shower and left it until the last minute to wash off, and it was amazing .

silky smooth

Have managed to use this a few times in the past 2 weeks, i have noticed a dramatic difference in the comodones on my nose and forehead, and the rest of my skin feels smooth and silky, i wish i had a matching moisturizer.

The beads were a mixture of small and gentle, snd larger coarser beads, this is great because the scrub isnt just a gentle scrub, but it isnt just a harsh scrub that youd only be able to use on your body either, perfect for grinding off those black heads and built up dead skin, but gentle enough to not kill your face whilst doing so.

The packaging is kind of great but kind of annoying too lol. Like on the 1 side its cute and easy to squeeze out, but the cap is annoying and when the pack gets a little emptier its hard to keep it standing up (which sucks if your a little ocd about your vanity) but meh, its bearable.

Tips: Exfoliate 2-3 times weekly for normal-oily or combination skin, 1-2 if dry, if combination is dry with oily t zone, try exfoliating your t zone 2-3 times a week avoiding your dry areas

Lovely earthy smell

This scrub actually felt like it was doing it's job which many don't, it removed dry/flaky skin successfully. I found that I had to keep adding a splash of water to keep the large particles moving around. Loved the peppery, earthy smell. My skin did feel a little sensitive after using the scrub but I think that's more to do with my temperamental skin than the scrub.

Tips: Use it with a moisturising face masque if you have sensitive skin.

Really enjoyed this!

I really enjoyed this scrub, but let me first say that I was given the chance to trial it through Beauty Review - THANKS!!

I would also say that I don't think it would be worth the $52, but again I'm not sure how much it actually costs in the shops!

The product itself is really nice, quite thin and with a clay base so it doesn't lather or anything. I would recommend using it after you've washed your face as I reckon you'd get way better results on a clean face.

I used it for about a week and my skin has been really good, hopefully it's as a result of this!! The packaging isn't great, but overall I really liked this product.

Tips: Watch out for the packaging - you can easily squeeze too much out!

Its the inside that matters

I must admit this was probably one of the hardest reviews I have ever written but thank you BR for the chance to review this product and really put my review skills to work. Usually all products have a list of promises and I go along and tick each one in the review process and draw my conclusion on whether it lived up to the promises. This enigma scrub gave nothing away!

Packaging - For a product that is 50g and has a hefty price tag, my inner snob wants glamourous packaging. The face scrub is housed in what looks like a one of those yoghurt suckers you have on the go. Its just in a foil bag with a screw top that can be squeezed. Its not very stylist and appealing in my opinion. If I just walked past it I wouldnt have given it second glance because nothing is screaming "let me touch your face"!

Price tag - Golly gumdrops, I have never put anything that comes in a plastic bag with $52 on my face. Again, I'm struggling to do the aesthetic math in my head because a cleanser worth $52 should be packaged in diamonds right? Unfortuanately this product doesn't look like its worth $52 which is disappointing.

What is this? - The scrub looks like a face mask and even has he texture of the face mask. It is thick and creamy with an ever so fine grit in the scrub. When you screw the cap off its a fruit bowl slap in the face and an amazing sweet aroma. I fell inlove with smell straight off the bat. The colour is a murky brown, which isnt very appealing for a face scrub but is forgiveable because it smells and feels so luxurious.

What does it do? - The only product instruction you will get it that you should exfoliate once a week for soft skin. Well, because that is not possible in a 10 day trial period I used this face every second night and morning. I was really worried that it would turn me into an oil spill because I cant exfoliate more than once a week. I used about a 10 cents coin amount every time and rubbed it into my face for a 1 minute. The micro beads are so gentle that you hardly even notice its an exfoliant as apposed to a normal face wash. Huge surprise because it gave me no extra oiliness. Huge tick in my books because that means I can safely use an exfoliant more than once a week and it will be good to my skin.

My skin? I wash my face with warm water, add the scrub for a minute and then add some more water while I'm scrubbing. This scrub doesnt lather which is great and proof that there are no nasty chemicals present in the face scrub. I rinse my face and my skin is left in quite a confused state but not a bad confused. My skin isnt immediately smooth and baby soft just by using the product, so I have to run for my night moisturiser. What I found is that the face scrub is helping my night and days creams absorb better into my skin and once my skin has absorbed the cream, its unbelievably soft and woken to life.

Tips: Promises? - I found a few promises this product could possibly claim as their own. It removes my face makeup (not mascara), I can feel the scrub opening up my pores whilst I'm using it and my creams are performing so much better by absorbing quicker, it pull out all the crud from my face and my glowing alot more now which is strange because it never glows in winter. This product has proven to me its truly whats on the inside that matters, and its not just applicable to relationships. I judged this product to be cheap and undesirable because of the packaging but when it came to the real business, I'm left in awe. This face scrub is amazing. Would I purchase it for myself? probably not because $52 is very steep to be spending on a face cleanser. After using it a few days I actually realised that the packaging is not so bad after all because it would be light weight and easily to carry when you're travelling. This is a great product for skin maintenance and keeping a healthy glow. I've used this as a face mask a few times. It doesnt get hard and stiff on your face but the longer you keep it on the face the softer it becomes.

Fiji in a pack

I was lovingly picked to trial this wonderful Fiji Papaya Enzyme Facial Scrub and was super excited as I missed out on this in the Beauty Vault.

The one thing that really stood out for me was the way the product was packaged, in a squeezy packet. Now whats great about a squeezy packet you ask? Well you know how you get a product and its in a bottle or tube and tub and you really find it hard to get all of the product out, well you don't have that problem with this scrub. Its such a wonderful way to store it, just simply unscrew, squeeze and out comes the product, and when you're nearing the bottom, you just roll it all up, genius.

Well what about the actual product itself, come on Sarah get with the programme lol. The formula is just beautiful, it is so creamy and soft that its actually hard to believe its a scrub, some can be super harsh, but this one is so soft and gentle, perfect for my sensitive skin.

For some reason I associate Fiji with coconut but this one is tropical fruit, not overly powerful, more subtle. You can definitely smell the papaya in it which is really good and you feel like your in an exotic hotel using their toiletries.

Results, to be honest I didn't see a huge difference in my skin, because according to the directions, you only use it once a week, and with the time frame to review it, I needed to use it more than once a week to really get an idea as to how good this product was. With more use, I will be able to really get a feel for what difference it will do for my skin.

It does leave your skin feeling refreshed and soft and really clean, like you've just had a facial. If you are looking for something a little different to the usual scrubs you use, then this product would be perfect, your once a week treat especially as the price is a tad high.

Overall, it was a wonderful scrub and I would love to try others in the range.

Essence of Fiji Papaya Enzyme Facial Scrub Review

I was really excited to try this product as I have not heard of it before. I have quite sensitive skin, so I was curious whether the product would work for me. I liked the way my skin felt afterwards - nice and smooth, and not overly exfoliated to the point where skin gets rough. The smell is quite subtle, nice and natural. Overall I liked this product.

Tips: Although it says facial scrub it is also nice for the body! This does use up the product faster though.

Essence of Fiji Papaya Scrub

I have really good skin anyway, so I wasn't expecting this to do much for me. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the results. It wasn't harsh on my skin, and it did leave it feeling really refreshed and soft. I was disappointed in the packaging though, as with having a high RRP you would expect something a little more professional looking. If I had seen that in a store, one look at the price and I would have gone straight past it. As I only got to use this twice in the past week, the rest will definitely be saved for special occasions when I want to give my face a treat.

Not the best..

I was so excited to be picked for this. It came in the mail and I quickly opened it up. The first thing that went through my mind is "is this a sample." No it was the full sized product! It is very small in size and the packaging, to be honest for $52, the packaging is a bit tacky. So I was a bit disappointed with that. So I hopped into the shower and then realized that I could not put the scrub on the shelf in the shower because it just fell down, it wouldn't stand up! However the smell of the product is absolutely delicious, you can smell all of the natural ingredients in it. So I cleansed my face and then went to get the scrub, that was a bit difficult as it had a screw on lid and wouldn't stand up. It felt and smelt amazing on my skin! I felt like I was in a salon getting a treatment. the gritty bits were perfect size not too harsh and easy to wash off. I have dry skin and I felt that just a couple of places on my face were left feeling a bit dry after the use of the product but the rest of my face felt very nice and smooth.

Overall I was left feeling okay about the product, I do not think it is worth $52, if the packaging was upgraded it may be, but not the way it is. I probably wouldn't recommend this to a friend, I believe there are other products out there that do a better job for the same amount of money or less.

Tips: Only use a small amount, a little bit goes a long way! Also using a mask afterwards will make sure skin even smoother!

Not convinced

I really wanted to love this product as it looked/sounded so good based on the packaging. I expected it to smell amazing based on the list of natural ingredients and the reference to 'papaya' in the name - perhaps a tropical, fruity scent - but to me it just smells unpleasant and artificial.

I admit I am new to facial scrubs but I assume they are supposed to be one part of a wider skincare regime. I felt this product left my skin desperate for a separate cleansing, however. My skin felt like it was covered in a greasy layer after use and I couldn't wait to slap on my face wash and get rid of that sensation. I had really hoped for a magical sensory experience that left my skin feeling kissed by the gods themselves. No dice.

I'm also not a fan of the packaging. I found it difficult to dispense product and then do the little screw cap back up with one hand before placing the packet down again, so it wouldn't ooze all over my vanity. This problem was even worse in the shower - following the directions to 'exfoliate with steam' I tried it out at the end of my morning shower. You really do need to replace the cap immediately so you don't splash water inside and it was super hard juggling a blob of product on one hand and the packet in the other and the lid between the two with all of this water raining down.

I didn't notice any changes in my skin after using this product but I have only used it twice, so I will continue using it to see if there are any long term benefits that redeem its other shortcomings.

Tips: If you're going to use it in the shower, depot a small amount into a more convenient container!
