Estee Lauder Illuminating Serum

Every time I give this serum another go, I break out. It's strange as I have used many, many EL products and I've never had a problem. I think this is only 'illuminating' due to the glittery bits in the serum. The texture is a bit strange and has a weird finish once it dries on my skin. I'm not sure if it actually 'does' anything.

I love Estee Lauder products, and am a big fan of their ANR range and Day Wear moisturiser. I had a sample of this which gave me use for a couple of weeks. It's a light formula and doesn't seem to have any scent at all. I didn't feel like it did a lot (through granted sometimes you need ot use it for a long time, I know). But the main reason i wasn't a fan was because of all the glittery particles it in.. it's a bit too intense on the sparkles. Surely that can't be good for your skin? I felt like this was average. If I had it, I would use it, but I wouldn't spend money on buying it :) I think there are far superior EL products you could spend your money on (ANR !)

I tried a small sample and omg it burnt like a bugger it made my face red and break out in little red bump turns out my skin was to sensitive

This is a product I got free in a gift with purchase special when I brought some Estée Lauder products.

First of all, I love Estée Lauder skincare and makeup, but they come with a huge price tag!

This serum is very moisturising and leaves your skin very soft and tends to even out your skin tone. It's great, but nothing hugely different than what their normal moisturiser (hydrationist moisture creme) does

I'm glad I have a few mini bottles of this left, as the full sized bottle is quite unaffordable at the moment!

This bottle of magic has become an important part of a daily routine. I never really bought into the expensive moisturizer fuss until an Estee rep promised I wouldn't look back after trying this. I've always had sensitive skin, and this product ensures I have an amazing base for makeup and before bed sinks deep down for the ultimate night repair

I have been using this for awhile and have seen a difference in the way my pours on my nose look smaller. Not that much to justify the price tho. very nice product tho

WOW this serum was amazing!! I first received it as a gift last christmas and it lasted about 5 months. I loved it so much that I purchased it as a treat, but it is expensive. It does what it says it does and after you apply it your face feels silky and amazing. I used it mainly at night but sometimes in the morning and noticed that my make up would sit beautifully. No other product has ever left my face feeling the way this one does....if I could afford it I would use the whole range <3

I received a 15ml bottlle for free when I purchased a face wash otherwise I would never be able own this :)

I tried the serum at night as I'm usually careful with new serums during the day as I have an oily skin that needs no excuse to be more oily.

I cleansed my face and applied the serum but did not add a moisturiser because I wanted to test the full extent of the serum.

My face was so soft and silky in the morning and my pores almost appeared to have diminished a wee bit. I was really happy that my skin had the feeling of being "prepared" for the day ahead because it was treated the night before. I had enough to last me 3 nights and my skin and such a good 3 nights pampering.

I would definitely use it again but it's abit out of my price range but one day when I'm big and famous I'll own tonnes of this :)

I absolutely adore this product for a few reasons.. I know that serums aren't generally targeted to younger Women but this product is fab for all ages. I also think you cannot go past this as part of your Makeup routine. So it is already a multi purpose product in my books! I always get asked how i get a pretty feminine glow, i make no secrets of how much of a fan i am of illuminating products and this is one of my top secrets.. Or not so top secret now! I always blend a drop of this into my liquid foundation or CC cream.. Not only does it reduce the appearance of 'cakeyness' in medium-full coverage foundations but the finish and glow you will get is beyond gorgeous! I highly recommend this product.

I have Illuminator Envy. I got given some trial sachets (each one lasts 3-4 days as you don't need a lot). Skin feels silky and soft with a lovely golden glow. Yes, Estee Lauder is very pricey but I think I just have to have this one!
